The place to stay in Old Town Altea

We simply loved Suzanne's place. Such a stunning property in a perfect location with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. It had everything we needed and we couldn't get enough of that view! Absolutely can't wait to stay here again!

Beautiful character home in Altea Old Town

This property has so much character and so tastefully renovated. Beautiful views. Perfect central position in very quiet cobbled street. Great comfy beds. Large showers. Everything was perfect. And the host, Guido, was so helpful.

Beautiful rental in the old town!

The property was beautifully furnished, and nicely appointed with everything we needed. AC on the top two floors (of 4) were critical, as we were there during a heat wave. Guido was very communicative and responded quickly when messaged. He was also very accomodating to allow us to stow our bags for an extra hour after checkout on the day we left. Overall this was an amazing spot in a beautiful place; we would absolutely rent here again!

A great stay in Altea old town

The property is a traditional house in Altea old town near to the church. A quiet area but close to the square by the central church. We will need to bet reasonably fit (or you will be by the time you leave!) as the house is spread over four floors and it is a steep walk back up from the beach with lots of steep steps. Having said that, after a month we have got use to it and we would probably select the same house if we were to return to Altea.

Thank you for taking the time to review my property and for your 5-star review. I am pleased to read that you would choose to stay with me again should you return to Altea. It is always nice to welcome guests who stay for longer periods of time as you did and I would like to thank you for taking such great care of the house. The property is on various levels but the kitchen and dining area are on the ground floor and the main bedroom and ensuite bathroom are on the first floor. The living room and terrace with spectacular sea views are situated on the second floor. The historic house was built onto the original city walls of Altea which has granted it such a prime location and panoramic sea views. I would like to point out that for those clients who prefer to hire a car, it is possible to drive to the house and park very close by. Once again thank you

Stunning house, amazing view !

We had a fantastic stay, the townhouse is beautiful and ideally located in the heart of the old town with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The house is spacious, feels luxurious and has everything you could possibly need , including a modern well equipped kitchen. The views, especially from the living room terrace are amazing ! The communication with Sue was great. She is such a thoughtful host and provided us with lots of helpful advice and information before we arrived, including recommendations for restaurants where we enjoyed some lovely meals. We returned home happy and relaxed and would love to stay again, would thoroughly recommend

Chic Townhouse, Stunning Views

Located in a quiet street yet minutes away from the historic attractions and a good selection of quality restaurants, the townhouse really was a superb find. The views from the top floor of the townhouse are simply stunning and the beach front itself is only about a short 5 minute walk away. The house itself was spotless and had everything you would expect, the overall decor and quality was both chic and relaxing. We were fortunate to meet the host who was fantastic, the communication and guides being first rate. Would definitely recommend and will probably return. Parking close by was no problem with plenty of spaces in the car parks nearby if needed

Must stay Property

This property has everything. The design of the townhome is so fun and livable. The 4 balconies have wonderful views. The upper living room is so bright and spacious. The view from the upper terrace is so charming. We had a glass of wine while we were watching the sailboat races. The kitchen is great and well supplied for cooking in. It was stocked with condiments, tea, coffee, paper towels plenty of toilet paper, dish washing liquid and plenty of dish towels. The bed was very comfortable as was all the furniture. The location in incredible, you can walk everywhere and get everything you could possibly need. Cannot say enough good things about this home. We were very sad to leave. Guido was so helpful and checked in on us to make sure everything was going well. We plan to return

This is a beautiful property. The view from the 3rd floor terrace is spectacular. The only issue was noise was a problem. There was construction going on across the road which started at 7 am.Hopefully that will be done soon. Then there is noise from people walking by and at the lookout. On our last night they were making noise until 530 am.This May have been due to the. Christian celebration this past weekend. If you kept all windows closed it may be better but as I am not a fan of air conditioning we kept windows open for the breeze. There are a lot of stairs to get into town which we did not find a problem.Good work out for cabs. The kitchen was well appointed so it is easy to cook.Altea is a beautiful town.I can not say enough about the beauty of the town.Sitting on the terrace watching the sunrise each day is magical. All in all it was lovely. For those not coming from North America and suffering from jet lag the noise probably will not be a problem.Bring ear plugs just in case.Suzanne the host provided info and was easily accessible.

Simply Superb In Every Way

We have just returned from Sue & Peter's town house and we have had an excellent time. The house is in a superb position in the old town and the accommodation is 1st class. Everything in this house oozes quality and is a superb mixture of quirkiness and luxury. Sue & Peter are excellent host's and made booking and settling in really easy with advise and suggestions of what the Old town had to offer and the best places to eat etc.. It is clearly evident that both have put a huge amount of thought, design, time and money into the reform of this lovely house and the location and views are the icing on the cake. It's the first time we have stayed in Altea and we loved the vibe, the cleanliness and of course the sun shine. The character of the old town with the cobbled streets, the architecture and the really chilled out pace of life made this stay unforgettable. Simply Superb in every respect and one of the best breaks we have had to relax, catch some sun and recharge our batteries in lovely surroundings. We will definitely be returning and many thanks to Sue & Peter for making our time in their lovely house so enjoyable. Would recommend without hesitation ..... Paul Barrow

Beautiful home in wonderful location

This house is gorgeous! So well renovated and furnished. The old town of Altea is beautiful, and the house reflects the history of the town so well. As the house is on 4 floors, it is spacious and bright, and the lovely owners have made it a very lovely home.

Beautiful house in Altea.

We as a party of 4 adults had an amazing holiday in Altea . The house is big enough for 4 without being cramped as there is 3 levels so each couple have their space . The house is exactly as the photos , even better I would say . We all enjoyed the beautiful home and it's so nice of Sue and Peter to let people enjoy their peace of paridise . From the moment I booked Sue replied and everything was very straight forward nothing was any trouble to them and they were fantastic friendly hosts . They were on hand to answer any quiries or anything you needed to know . I would have no hesitation at recommending this property to anyone it's a real gem in the middle of Altea .

Superb home, superb location and superb views!

A week wasn't long enough, staying at this superb accommodation. My husband who is hard to please at the best of times raved about the quality and the setting of the house. Throughout the week we both enthused about the décor and the attention to detail including some lovely personal additional touches , for example, a small sewing pack (the safety pin came in handy!), the coffee maker, and the beach towels. The kitchen was beautiful and modern and well-equipped but I did struggle at first on how to use the state of the art hob! Pete and Sue the owners, couldn't have been more helpful and informative and extended their service to providing a taxi service to and from the airport which made the holiday totally hassle free. Receiving a text from Sue detailing Altea Fiesta was useful and well appreciated. We didn't need to hire a car as Altea had everything we needed and the regular tram and bus services allowed us to explore further afield. This was a wonderful holiday and both Sue and Pete really know how to meet the needs of their customers. Thank You!

Like a home! Fabulous!

It was a wonderful time to stay in this house. It isn't correct to say "to stay in this house", better is "to be a guest of Suzanne and Peter at their house". Beautifull designer home, very clean. The owner provide all the details required for the guest: from the bathrooms to the kitchen utensils, beach towels, umbrellas, toys for the beach and more. Guest needs only to buy food, and no household chemicals and so on. First house for rent that I've seen, where books and cute knick-knacks not in the way, and forced to take a camera and make a photo-tagging in my architect library for future projects. There is a lot to say, I think worth a stay)))) I was surprised home and owners. My next vacation will spend with Susan and Peter at their house)
