Agapanthus can comfortably accommodate 5 people. Ideal for couples, families and groups of friends.
Numerous amenities for the little ones (games for all ages, large library for children and teenagers, bottle sterilizer, high chair). On request baby bed.
The apartment consists of a large living room, a large dining room, a kitchen and an equipped kitchen, two bedrooms (a comfortable pouf bed is available for the fifth guest), two bathrooms with shower and bidet. This property was amazing. Close to the sassi, restaurants, etc., yet just far enough away. Very well appointed for four of us. Fabulous patio, where we had a lovely pasta meal prepared in the modern kitchen. Definitely would come back here.

A fabulous stay!

We stayed in this lovely apartment for two nights and were sad to have to leave! Cool, spacious, beautifully furnished and conveniently located just 5 minutes’ walk from Matera’s historic Sassi districts, the accommodation included everything we needed for our stay along with a warm welcome from our host. We were also just 2 minutes’ walk from some lovely local restaurants, cafes and convenience stores. Would highly recommend.

Nice apartment

The apartment is exactly as shown in the photos on the website. It's large, airy, clean, well-equipped and the beds are very comfortable. It's located on a busy street, so there is some noise during the morning, but it's quiet at night and the location is good for exploring Matera.

Our stay at Agapanthus was fantastic! From the moment of booking, Francesca was incredibly easy to communicate with, providing clear details on how to find the apartment and sharing excellent suggestions for local activities and restaurants. We felt completely ready before we even arrived.While the apartment boasts many great details, its location is what makes it truly special. We were just steps from the old town, but enjoyed the full comfort and amenities of a modern, updated space. The property manager, Mariapia, greeted us warmly, even guiding us to our dedicated space in the parking garage. The apartment was generously stocked: a large bowl of fruit, biscuits and crackers, plenty of espresso pods, yogurt, juice, and tomatoes—all of which we enjoyed every morning alongside the delicious bread from the bakery Francesca recommended. The beds were very comfortable, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful touches like water and slippers placed by our beds.We couldn't have been happier and are already planning our next trip back to Matera and Francesca's lovely apartment

Fantastic stay in Matera

The apartment is fantastic for a family. it has a big spacious terrace for eating outside, +2 bedrooms, a living room, and the dining room. It was located in a perfect area in the downtown with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. It was a short walk to the Sassi. The apartment has everything a family needs, including a fully functioning, kitchen and beds, and a pull out couch in the living room. Francesca was very responsive to our wants and needs, she even made reservations for us at two great restaurants! She went above and beyond, and we hope to stay in the apartment again sometime soon.

Steps to Stassi - Safe and Secure

Our host Francesca was extremely helpful in all of our requests. She allowed flexibility in our arrival and departure times which made us less stressed about leaving one town and heading to another. She organized a dinner reservation at our request at a restaurant (Kappador) for our second night in town. The food was fabulous and we were seated on a terrace overlooking the Stassi. She offered secure storage of our rental car in a locked garage 350 meters from the lodging. It was only 15€ extra per day. There was fresh fruit and water awaiting us in the fridge. The place was equipped with a dishwasher, clothes washer, and two fully functioning bathrooms with typical Italian showers. We had our own private outside terrace with table and seating for six with a bamboo awning overhead. There is no central air conditioning, but the portable unit seemed to keep the place a comfortable temperature. Overhead and portable fans in the bedrooms kept the air circulating. The location was a short walk to services, restaurants, and of course - the Sassi. I would highly recommend Agapanthus to anyone considering visiting Matera. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place!

Nice stay in Matera

The apartment is very big. It is also light and airy. The terrace is very nice. The location is wonderful. While it does have traffic noise (due to the location in the center of town), the noise dies down for sleeping. Francesca is very helpful in responding to every need and arranging tours.
