To tell you a little about us, I own my own music business, Barron’s Big Band, and was an elementary teacher at Chautauqua Elementary here on Vashon Island. I now teach The Yoga of Mindset to children and adults. My wife recently passed away, but Seana was the founder of the Restorative Leadership Institute.
Why they chose this property
Nestled on the secluded Burton Peninsula within a protected Audubon bird hot spot, the old-growth forest trails of Burton Woods are right across the street, and you are just a short walk or bike ride from kayak and paddleboard rentals at Jensen Point, the local Burton espresso stand, and a historic neighborhood market.
What makes this property unique
At high tide, the water flows directly beneath the wrap-around deck, creating a soothing rhythm to fall asleep to and allowing you to swim, paddle, or fish right off the edge. As the tide recedes, it transforms into a private beach oasis perfect for beachcombing and exploring the rich marine life of the Salish Sea.
Our comfortable 500-square-foot sanctuary features an organic rubber mattress, a fully equipped kitchen, and a massive bay window with an overhead skylight designed to capture breathtaking overwater sunrises.
While the cottage offers quiet seclusion down a private flight of stairs, it perfectly balances that with easy island access. The old-growth forest trails of Burton Woods are right across the street, and you are just a short walk or bike ride from kayak and paddleboard rentals at Jensen Point, the local Burton espresso stand, and a historic neighborhood market. Combining sustainable, low-footprint living with elegant comfort, this unique overwater retreat is a masterfully crafted haven designed for two people to completely unplug, watch the wildlife, and exhale.
