We had a wonderful stay. Absolutely stunning place! Cosy house, comfortable beds, splendid view, even the petanque court was in a beautiful spot with the chicken audience. The village was idyllic and even had a lovely restaurant.But above all the hospitality of Lionel & Peggy took our entire holiday up a notch: such warm, kind, and lovely people. We were really sorry we had to leave after just a week.

A very comfortable and well equipped gite in a beautiful location. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The area is excellent for walking with lots of interesting wild flowers, butterflies and birds. Good restaurants nearby too. What more could you want?

Well appointed house with stunning views

We loved our stay in Cantobre, and this property was a perfect base of operations for exploring the area. The property itself is beautiful, and the house is spotless, with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Lionel and Peggy are so friendly, and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable—everything from the offer of fresh eggs and produce from their hens and garden, to individual maps of trails to bike and hike, tied out with hand held GPS to take with you. Both are incredibly knowledgeable about what to see and do in the Aveyron. But it’s the sweeping view down the valley from your private veranda that make this spot over the top perfect. We are coming back in 2019 and can’t wait! Sarah & Tom R.

Great location with fabulous views

We have stayed at quite a few Gites over the years but this has got to have the most spectacular views you could ever wish for. On arrival, our host Lionel, met us in the car park and put all our luggage into his car to transfer them to the Gite. After unloading our luggage Lionel showed us around the Gite (we stayed in the Griffon Gite) and told us where everything was and how to use it. The Gite was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen had all the equipment needed. For dog lovers there is Midge, Lionel and Peggy's Cocker Spaniel who loves a bit of fuss. If you want any information about the area Lionel and Peggy are a mine of information. The Gite also has a well stocked library with games, a vast collection of CDs and DVDs. We had a great stay and the photos that we took just can't do the views justice. On our last evening we were invited round to Lionel and Peggy's for drinks and nibbles which was a very pleasant way to finish the holiday. I can recommend Val De Cantobre Gites as a well run, clean establishment located in a historic small village with fantastic views.

Excellent séjour dans le gîte de Lionel et Peggy. Situation du gîte incroyable avec une vue époustouflante sur la vallée de la Dourbie. Accueil très chaleureux de Lionel et Peggy qui ont répondu à toutes nos attentes !

Cantobre - Aveyron ou Gard - à vous de choisir !

Découverte totale de la région. Nous voulions du calme et nous l'avons eu. Nous avons aimé l'accueil de la région, les marchés artisanaux, le théâtre "au chapeau" en plein air à Nant, les activités sportives et les randonnées sans oublier le restaurant de Cantobre. Le gîte est idéal et très bien entretenu. Lionel et Peggy sont adorables. Je recommande l'endroit pour tout ceux qui aiment la nature, l'authenticité.

Séjour au nid aux aigles

D'excellentes vacances dans ce havre de paix, vues imprenables, biodiversité au rendez-vous, faune et flore riches, un véritable plaisir. Ce fut un régal pour notre famille de séjourner au nid aux aigles qui porte bien son nom. Il n'est pas exclu que nous revenions, une adresse pour les vacances à retenir ! Par ailleurs nos hôtes sont très accueillants, chaleureux et leur présence des plus agréables. Un séjour très ressourçant ! A refaire ! Vous remerciant encore pour votre gentillesse.

région et gîte superbes

Nous avons été très satisfaits de nos courtes vacances à Cantobre : le gîte, situé dans ce magnifique petit village haut perché, était très confortable et très bien équipé. Nos hôtes étaient charmants et très généreux. Le site créé par Lionel est vraiment génial et décrit tout ce qu'on peut vouloir savoir sur le gîte et la région. Le temps a été froid (c'est l'hiver !) mais magnifique. Nous conseillons vivement la région, le village et le gîte.

Vue imprenable et accueil au top!

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine en famille. La vue est extraordinaire! Les propriétaires sont ADORABLES! La région est magnifique! Nous avons pu faire beaucoup de choses différentes adaptées aux enfants. Un excellent souvenir!

Notre séjour s’est fait en famille. Merci pour l’accueil, votre enthousiasme et votre aide pour les bagages que nous avons transvasé de nos voitures a la votre. votre gite est superbe dans votre belle propriété. Que dire, le village en lui-même est magnifique, la vue de la terrasse est époustouflante et le terrain de pétanque parfait. Le gîte a tout ce qu’il faut pour profiter de tout. merci encore

Très bel endroit très pittoresque. Le gîte est confortable et propre, les propriétaires sont très accueillants et serviables, toutefois l'accès est delicat, la location n'étant pas accessible en voiture celle ci doit rester garée en contrebas du village sur l'un des nombreux petits parkings.

Très bonne situation pour découvrir la région

Peggy et Lionel sont des hôtes très accueillants. La maison est située dans un environnement magnifique et l'endroit est parfait pour observer les étoiles. A Nant, il y a un bon boulanger, un bon boucher et une bonne épicerie de producteurs. Ne pas hésiter à y séjourner hors saison.
