AMAZING River Views at Inlet Cove! Community Dock and Pool

Located along a tidal creek of the Kiawah River and only 3 blocks from the beach, the gated community of Inlet Cove Cottages is a perfect family vacation destination. Swimming in the community pool, fishing, crabbing, and beach combing, are just a few of the many activities waiting to be enjoyed. Kiawah Island also offers five championship golf courses, two tennis centers, parks, over 30 miles of bike paths, plus 10 miles of white sandy beaches.

When driving up to the cottage, you can't help but notice the beautiful views you won't be able to take your eyes off of the whole trip! You have ample parking in the car port and driveway.

Once you make your way to the main floor, you will notice the open concept living and dining area. With comfortable furnishings in the living room and flat screen TV, you are sure to relax. This area is open to the dining table, seating 6, and flows in to the kitchen that also has a table for extra eating space.

There are 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in this cottage. The Master bedroom will be off the living room and connected to the back porch. This room has a queen size bed, private bathroom and flat screen TV. The second and third rooms will each have two twin beds and share a bathroom.

Relax on the lovely screened porch with amazing water views. For your convenience, this cottage does come with a washer and dryer, as well as WiFi.

We had a great time at the Inlet Cove property. Everything was clean and neat neighborhood was very quiet and sweet. Grass was very great in communicating our arrival and departure.

Wonderful location - bedrooms were comfortable and screened in porch was lovely. Check in was very easy. It appears the kitchen table was replace by a folding card table, but otherwise was nice.

Great location

Home is in a great little neighborhood. Quick bike ride to the beach and an even quicker trip to the pool, if it had been open. Nice view from enclosed porch.

We have been vacationing at Kiawah Island for years, and always stay in Inlet Cove. The view was magnificent! We loved watching the dolphins from our back porch. The house was exceptionally clean. We would definitely stay there again😃

We had a wonderful stay!

The pictures don’t do justice to the amazing river view. Decor is a bit dated, but who cares 😊. Everything is well maintained and very comfortable. Convenient quiet location- amazing sunsets! The common seating, pool, and dock areas are a great perk for the Inlet Cove neighborhood.

Girls Weekend,

The women in my family stayed here for a long weekend. We enjoyed the house, the short walk to the beach, the Fresh Fields Market area , renting bikes, and touring Charleston. We had a great time. A map of the area would have been helpful to our checking in , but we figured out where things were. Would stay here again.

Inlet Cove with a Gorgeous View

Welcomed nicely with music, lights on and even a little tote bag. Gorgeous views make up for a few minor shortcomings of the house. We’ve stayed on Kiawah for 15 years so we definitely have our favorite properties. Pros and Cons with each property! The bed is a double in the MBR and all of the beds are fitted with foam mattresses that are not comfortable. I slept in my daughter’s room all week because the MBR bed was so small. House needs updating for sure but an easy fix would be lower furniture on back porch to really enjoy views without bug bites. This house is about a five minute bike ride to the beach. Lovely trails! House is pretty far from Night Heron. Pool is great with river views and rocking chairs. Spent some nice afternoons hanging out there. Kitchen is basic, nothing to comment on! Bathrooms are basic but great towels! Nice furniture in living space. Pictures depict house well except exterior has been updated, linens on bed have been improved and a wide angle lenses was used on the bed. Loved the views and location of house! Inlet Cove is a good spot to be!

Beautiful location but not well maintained or stocked.

The view of the river is beautiful and the location is right between pool and beach. We enjoyed our inlet cove vacation. The price on this cottage is lower than others- that's probably because it is not well maintained or well stocked. Lots of little maint issues like bathroom sink not draining, rigging tub stopper to drain. The coffee pot leaks all over the kitchen counter until you figure out to turn the handle straight out. There is not enough silverware and kitchen items, and there are no extra blankets. There are no ceiling fans. The listing shows a tv in each room but the 2 rooms with twin beds did not have a television (unhappy teens who came with xbox). If you are looking for a lower price, and don't care much about small details and amenities, this unit is for you. But it obviously does not get a lot of care or attention.

Great location but some updates needed

We just stayed here with our family of 5 (3 teens included) for Spring Break. We were more than impressed with Sweetgrass Properties, Kiawah Island and the Inlet Cove Neighborhood. The location of this house within Inlet Cove is awesome with river and sunset views out the back. We rented bikes which I would highly recommend as Beachwalker Park is a very short and beautiful bike ride away and the bike paths into and around Kiawah Island were so fun too. This location is a short drive from Freshfields which is an adorable shopping/dining area with a full (and very reasonably priced) grocery store. We were so impressed with all of that. On the downside, this property needs some TLC. The beds were quite uncomfortable and the bed linens in need of updating and pillows washed or replaced. The dishwasher is very old and didn't work well - we were constantly rewashing or handwashing dishes which is a bummer on vacation. The kitchen has only very basic essentials - we had to buy our own salt and pepper shakers as well as baggies/tin foil etc. There are no cleaning supplies so if you want to wipe down countertops bring that as well. The porch is so beautiful to be on but the furniture is very worn (alot due to the salty air I'm sure) and much in need of replacing. Even a few plastic adirondack chairs would have been nice to have a little more comfortable way to enjoy the view. We will surely be coming back to Kiawah Island and would absolutely rent with Sweetgrass Properties but will not be staying at this particular home again just due to the updates that are needed.

Enjoyed the porch only because we brought a large fan. Issues with bathtub but called management and got it fixed (somewhat). Not best equipped kitchen but adequate. Very comfy mattresses

Nice and peaceful

This is a nice property for a vacation. We love staying in the Inlet Cove villas and this one was similar to the others. The only complaints woud be the lack of a ceiling fan on the back porch (which has a nice view) and the gigantic table out there - hard to sit around and talk - which we prefer to do outside (but not without a ceiling fan). The ice maker wasn't very good - but that isn't a big deal if you bring your own ice. All and all, beds were comfortable, house was clean and comfortable, and everyone had a good time.

River view at Inlet Cove

This was our third stay at a unit in Inlet Cove. We love the amenities this area offers, the pool, dock, easy walk or bike ride to the beach, close proximity to Freshfields. We chose this unit for the views of the river. Unit was very clean, kitchen had everything we needed. We did use the grill one night, nice to have that available. There is an elevator but it is not available for guest use. House was happy (colors, wallpaper) albeit a little dated. The screened in porch has a large table (and large chairs) for eating which takes up the entire space and somewhat blocks the view from inside, it might be nice to have a smaller table and chairs out there. We sat on the open porch off of the master bedroom a good bit and it was lovely. Comfy chairs out there. Only other recommendation would be a hose downstairs to make washing off beach chairs, toys, bikes, etc. easier. There is a shower and a spigot. This was our first time working with Sweetgrass ( they manage the property) and they were excellent, very responsive to any questions and great communication prior to arrival and during our stay.

Pretty view

Very nice view of Kiawah River—property is relaxing and quiet. The property served all of our needs and the community is great for biking to beach and paths. Nice deck with a good grill and screened porch was wonderful for Covid-style eating. I would recommend-comfortable for our family of five. Only two minor things that could be addressed: the dishwasher is basically falling out of the wall. A few times I was afraid the dishwasher would completely fall out of the wall when the bottom drawer was pulled out and full. Also the lights on the stairs don’t always work and it can get very dark. All in all, a great rental.

Needs Improvement

Many maintainence issues include:. 1. Dishwasher is not attached to cabinet and is dangerous to dishes and people. Fingers cut trying to save top rack from dumping glasses out. 2. Very poor lighting except in kitchen. 3. Shower not attached properly upon arrival. Water sprayed everywhere. We screwed it together. 4. Floor in little area between bedroom and bathroom is sunken . 5. Chairs on porch missing screws and are quite wobbly. 6. Rusty air vents. 7. Not enough flatwear especially knives. Only 5. Have to wash between every meal. 6. No place to hang hand towels on bathroom sink or any towels except on hooks, where they dont dry. We have rented a place in Mariners watch next summer from sweetwater and hope that it is in a better state.

Perfect balance

We had a wonderful week on Kiawah. The cottage is the perfect balance between serenity and convenience. Highlight was the screened-in porch, especially at sunset! The cottage is located between the community pool and county beach/park and very short distance to shops. It was well supplied with kitchen necessities and comfy towels and linens. Minor issues that came up got an immediate response. We hope to return and would love to bring a bigger group next time.

Nice unit, spotlessly clean

We have been coming to Kiawah for more than 20 years and have stayed in several villas in Inlet Cove. The river view in this unit was better than we expected from the photos, although somewhat blocked by trees. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the screened porch. The air conditioning was superior and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was better equipped than many. We loved the Weber gas grill that included propane. As mentioned by others, the screened porch furniture is too big for the space, the couches are not very comfortable, and the decor is dated, however, pretty typical for Inlet Cove units and not a big deal for us. We would choose this unit again. As part of our decision whether to go to Kiawah this year, we listened to Town of Kiawah Council Meetings on YouTube at the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic to hear how the Island was addressing it. Sweetgrass was mentioned as particularly responsive in adopting additional cleaning standards. The unit was spotless and we liked that all comforters were double sheeted. The company was also on top of messaging and offered good options when a hurricane was imminent during our stay. We would definitely rent again with Sweetgrass.

Wonderful Kiawah Stay

We all enjoyed our stay at 50 Inlet Cove. The house was very clean and perfect for the six of us. We were sad that the pool was not available for guests due to COVID-19; however the beach was such a quick bike ride away. I loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the inlet views. Fishing from the neighborhood dock was fun, and we also used the neighborhood dock to launch our kayaks. Everyone enjoyed the Kiawah bike trails. Sweetgrass was very responsive before and during our trip to any questions.

House was nice and adequately equipped. Due to the virus the pool was closed to renters. We were not told prior to booking or afterward. We were told once there the pool area was open to owners but not renters. While we were there no one was ever in the pool. Beach was great! Loved kayaking on the river and seeing dolphins.

Place was clean, But dirty dishes in dishwasher when we arrived. Pool was not open to guests but we were not notified of that before going. Will go back one day though. Clean house with a good view of water
