About this property

Stylishly Appointed, Peaceful Countryside

Beautifully converted former farm building, tucked away amidst wonderful countryside beside the Suffolk Cycling Route. Entirely on paths, you can cycle directly from the cottage to the coast at Thorpeness or Aldeburgh (or walk 45mins).
A stay at West Barn is the way to have both a Suffolk coastal holiday along with the benefits of a very private country location. The cottage is very well equipped, with lots of outside space plus private garden, and even use of the owners well maintained tennis court! Adults and families of all ages will thoroughly enjoy their stay.

Peaceful retreat

The cottage was a good size and very comfortable in easy reach of Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. The photos don't really do it justice.

Wonderful week with family

Return visit to Billeaford Barns and we would definitely love to go back for a 3rd. The properties are so well equipped for everything you could need and Mark was a wonderful host. Great location for Aldeburgh and Southwold with a lovely big garden for peaceful afternoons and to let the children play.

Spacious, clean and peaceful

We had a lovely relaxing weekend stay; very clean, plenty of space for 5 adults plus an infant and a dog. Nearby to Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings for days out. Mark was very helpful and responsive.

A beautifully clean and well keep cottage. A home from home surrounded by fantastic cointryside.

The owners couldn’t have been more attentive to all our needs in this secluded and very private property. We had good walks and bike rides from the doorstep. We also made many trips out to lovely little villages and of course swam in the sea at Aldeburgh most mornings. A lovely base to explore the surrounding area. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you would need for a stay, long or short. There is even a tennis court which the owners are very happy for you to use. The outside area was very good too with secluded seating in the courtyard. I would also recommend this property for those with mobility issues as there is a downstairs bedroom and shower room/toilet and the ground floor is all on one level. All in all, a clean, quiet, well equipped property. I would highly recommend to anyone of any age.
