We had a lovely stay in this home. Everything we needed was provided. It's just a short walk to Southwold or a lovely footpath walk to the marina. Hosts were lovely and super accommodating with an early check in and a late check out. Thanks so much.

A lovely, well equipped property in a quiet street in Reydon, very close (walking distance) to beach and Southwold town. The shop opposite was great - it had everything we needed. Steep staircase and a downstairs bathroom, so this house could be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. The host (Judy) was very communicative and helpful when the lockbox failed, and quickly arranged for a neighbour to let us in with a spare key. The property could do with a deep clean in places, but I guess that just reflects the end of a long, busy summer season. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bridget’s Cottage and hope to visit again.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. Sorry you had an initial problem with accessing the key. The lock box has now been replaced. Our cleaner has already booked in a deep clean now that there is more opportunity to do so. We do try to alert anyone who might have mobility issues that the layout is that of a typical Victorian property but hopefully it was not as issue for you we look forward to hosting you again perhaps in the future

The hosts were very helpful on learning I had recently had a hip replacement- thinking what I might find difficult and describing it in detail for me. But it was all fine. We couldn’t get to the beach on foot in 10 minutes, but it didn’t take much longer ! Having the garden to sit in was a big plus. As was the excellent store across the street. We ate in a lot and I don’t think people usually do this - some kitchen equipment wasn’t clean and didn’t look as though it had been used in a while. And the knives need sharpening

Some routes to the beach can be a little longer than the path across the marshes but we are pleased you still found that it didn't take long to get there. We are sorry to hear that some kitchen equipment was not clean and will pass this on to our cleaner. She does deeper cleans regularly to try to avoid the things you experienced and we will pass on your comments. Occasionally we have had guests put things away that are not clean but will try to be more vigilant about checking. Very helpful to know about the knives and we will address that.

A great property for a family of four, especially if you have older teenagers as there are separate bedrooms for the kids and a cosy front room with TV. The grocery shop across the road is really great with friendly staff.
