The cottage provides upside down accommodation with the bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove on the first floor. Outside there is a raised decked area with hot tub and furniture and an enclosed lawned garden. The cottage also offers off road parking for two cars. With many lovely walks, picturesque villages and towns nearby, makes Rum Bush Cottage a wonderful base.

Town: Dufton is situated in an ideal location for visiting both the Lake District and Eden Valley. This lovely village has a good pub that serves food and the Agricultural Show is held on the last Saturday in August. Just three miles away is Appleby-in-Westmorland, one of the loveliest towns in the north of England. The town is situated in the heart of the delightful Eden Valley and has many shops and is one of the main stops for the Settle-to-Carlisle Railway. The Appleby-in-Westmorland Jazz festival that takes place in July is a popular attraction. Walkers should head to Dufton Fell and the Pennine Way to take in the breathtaking scenery plus with the village of Pooley Bridge and the town of Penrith close by, this makes Dufton an ideal base.
