The unique, modern architecture of Villa Vista Milagrosa (villa with miraculous view) is both stunning and functional. Villa Vista Milagrosa, located in a gated community, offers 3200 sq ft with 3 bedrooms with on suites. High vaulted ceilings combined with a multiple pane slider, large windows, expansive verandas, and lush landscaping allow for the tropical indoor/outdoor living experience, with each bedroom having pool access. Wonderful cool coastal and mountain breezes, coupled with a large 10 ft diameter ceiling fan, move the air when the breezes subside in the late afternoon.

You can relax by one of two pools, sunbathe or do yoga on the large mirador which offers spectacular panoramic and sunset ocean views, views of the rugged mountains/lush, green tropical jungle.

If you are an early riser you can enjoy a cup of coffee while listening to flocks of parrots and howler monkeys. Later in the day you can relax and watch the beautiful tropical sunsets, which are simply magnificent.

Villa Vista Milagrosa's ideal location provides easy access to the the wild beauty of the southern pacific coast beaches including the famous Whales Tail (Marino Ballena National Park), Playa Ventanas (ocean caves), Playa Colonia, Playa Arco, Playa Tortuga, and local surf towns including the surf friendly vibes of Dominical and Uvita. The Osa pennisula ( Drake Bay and San Josecito) offer untamed fishing, hiking, and camping experiences. For golfing enthusiasts, the San Buenas Golf resort offer 9 hole play amidst the rainforest. Other nearby activities are plentiful including zip lines, OSA waterfall, horseback riding, mangrove/night jungle tours, and wildlife experiences, including sloth sitings, toucans, capuchins, howler monkeys and an occasional jaguarundi and jaguar!

Perfect time in Costa Rica

We had an awesome stay at the Villa. The views are amazing, the villa is located close by multiple beaches (Ventana, Uvita, Hermosa) and the restaurants in Ojochal are really good. Karen was very helpful and responsive too ! Thank you again :) !

Christmas Vacation

We enjoyed our stay. The house was great for our family of five. The pool and the view were beautiful. We had a 4 wheel drive and had no problem navigating the roads.

What a view what a location

Everything was wonderful. This house has it all. Chris (owner) Karen (property manager) could not have been more accommodating. We had a great time in the pool and on the grounds. Great food choices in the area. Great surfing and beaches. Waterfalls in the area are great as well. The drive from SanJose is worth it to spend time in this great area. Thanks for a great vacation.

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Vista Milagrosa. Karen & Keith were extremely helpful and responsive to all our inquiries! The house was as listed, but better. The kitchen was very well stocked. The view was spectacular. The main pool was great! The mirador (upper deck) provided spectacular views for enjoying morning coffee and night caps. The grounds were so beautiful! We would most definitely come back to Villa Vista Milagrosa! Ojochal was also a gem!

Relaxing stay above Ojochal

My husband, our daughter and I had a very low key relaxing time in your home, as we had planned. It was perfect to have the air conditioning in the bedrooms at night. During the day we enjoyed the swimming pool and when indoors we were very comfortable with the windows open in the central part and the huge industrial fan kept the temperature just right. Karen and Keith were very pleasant and helpful. It only took us about 10-15 minutes to drive down to Ojochal. There are some marvelous and delicious restaurants in this area and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals at each one which we visited! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home.

Great house

We loved this house. It was beautiful. We did a few activities in the area bus also just enjoyed time in the pool. The upstairs “pool” is a pretty water feature but not really for getting in. The downstairs pool was great for swimming. The kitchen was well appointed and we cooked dinner every night. Care takers were great at answering questions in a timely manner. We are oils be happy to stay here again.

Fantastic Vacation in Paradise

This was our 5th visit to Costa Rica, and 3rd in the Uvita / Ojochal area. This home is beautiful and the design and layout is fabulous; definitely our favourite home so far. The property is high enough up the mountain to have a great ocean view, but also not so high up that you miss the wildlife. We saw monkeys, toucans and macaws in the nearby trees on several mornings. The property is also beautifully landscaped. Both the owner and the property managers (Karen & Keith) were very helpful. Thank you Debra & Chris for sharing your property with us. Wishing we were still there....

Beautiful house in nature

We had so much fun at this house. The pool felt great after long days of adventuring and the view was spectacular. My children loved exploring the property looking for lizards, frogs, critters, and flowers. We saw Coatimundis everyday from our deck and occasionally heard the howler monkeys. We loved the remote feel of the house up in the mountains, but it also didn’t take a long time to get to the beaches(15 min) or Uvita (30 min) for excursions. We loved our fishing/snorkeling adventure to Cano island. We used Bahia Adventuras in Uvita and we would recommend them. We had 2 couples and 3 children and everybody loved their bedrooms and bathrooms. The house was stocked with practically any kitchen appliance or tool you would need. The property manager, Karen, was fantastic. She helped us find the house and met us on arrival to show us around the house. Overall, wonderful!

Pura Vida Indeed

VVM is a beautiful home with an extrordinary view of the Pacific ocean. The villa was very clean and well stocked. The beds and sheets are very comfy. The backyard is not a "yard" at all, but rather a very lush, sculpted work of art. We had a 4x4 vehicle and I am glad we did as all the roads in the community, as well as a good chunk of the Ojochal road to get there, are dirt roads and a sign is posted at the security gate that says 4x4 is required. It is a little tricky to get to VVM, but very good detailed directions were provided. The common areas of the villa do not have A/C, but the bedrooms do and they cool the rooms down very quickly. All the windows and the big sliding doors have screens although there really are not many bugs. The pool is lovely and we all enjoyed swimming in it. When we arrived at VVM, the electricity was out for the entire community which made getting through the two security gates a challenge, but it came back on as we were doing our orientation with the Property Managers and there were no more issues with it. The Wifi worked quite well. We had two minor issues with the house and the local Property Managers quickly responded and took care of them. Would we stay again ... absolutely! Pura Vida!

Paradise!

What an amazing home! Pictures do not do it justice. The grounds are beautiful, the views are indescribable, the house is beautifully designed, and the area of Ojochal is amazing. We saw monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws, and many other amazing birds and insects (even the insects here were fascinating!). There are numerous beautiful beaches just a short drive away, and Ojochal is a foodie paradise with many amazing restaurants to choose from. We are two families with 4 adults and 5 kids all under the age of 9, and everyone had a blast. We were all comfortable in the spacious home. Beds, linens and pillows were all very comfortable. There were plenty of towels for everyone and even coolers, chairs, umbrella, and toys for the beach. The 4 year old twins loved the foot pool on the top deck, the older three played for hours in the main pool, all while the moms and dads enjoyed the beautiful views and sounds of the ocean and jungle. This house made our trip and we would highly recommend it to anyone! Be advised that 4 wheel drive really is a good idea for the roads up to the house (we do a lot of off-road jeeping and canyon driving where we live so believe us on this one) and it is a good trek by car from SJO (it took us about 5 hours including stops for lunch and to see the crocodiles). But it is worth it!!! We enjoyed surf lessons and zip lining in the area, but there are many activities to chose from. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!!!

AMAZING, MAGICAL, PERFECTION

From start to finish the house continued to amaze us. Prior to arrival the communication was seamless, from directions, adventures, town map, suggestions, phone numbers , and house info. Our caretakers Keith and Karen were phenomenal, bringing extra propane for grilling , fixing wifi, making sure we were comfortable , and explaining the in's, and out's. once you enter the property your stunned by the mountaintop views; expansive, vast, and picturesque. Not shown in pictures is the amazing staircase from the carport to the perfect pool; big, clean , and perfect for lounging all day in the sun! Each room has its own character, and bathroom. All bedrooms connect to the wrap around porch connected to the pool! Ample mood lighting for midnight swimming,listening to the jungle sounds, or rooftop hanging in the foot pool for lunch and relaxing. The kitchen/living room(s) was equip with more then we could have expected, pots and pans , cups, utensils, nothing was forgotten for cooking a gourmet dinner in the jungle. With a kitchen table for 6 and an island for 4, large families would have no problems entertaining for a day home not at the beach. The living room with the "big ass fan" was much needed , with it off ;you can feel the humidity and warmth Costa Rica's noted for, with it on...feels like your walking into a perfectly air conditioned day spa. An extra sitting area near the accordion glass doors entering the main pool area with lounger chairs , and remote controlled retractable screen to keep bugs out. The master bathroom stole the show with huge deep soaker tub, double vanity, and glass shower, with jet sprayers. Every bedroom has air conditioning not that you'll need it with French sliding doors and huge fans in each . From top to bottom, inside and outside , every detail was thought about . We couldn't have made a better decisions for staying in Costa Rica in the mountaintop mansion! With so much to see and do , I can't see myself staying anywhere else besides this house! Can't wait to come back and enjoy another magical getaway in this gem!! Hats off to the perfect hosts! You made this a magical trip ! Until next time !

Relaxation with an Amazing View!

The property and owners are amazing. My wife and I enjoyed 12 nights at this property. We loved the private pool and privacy. The upper deck offers one of the best ocean/coastal views possible. The house and kitchen have all the utensils and supplies for a very comfortable stay. We enjoyed waking up to the sounds of birds and the occasional howler monkey in the neighborhood. The owners are very responsive and their number one priority is the comfort and satisfaction of their guests. I definitely recommend this property for a wonderful Costa Rican holiday!

7 Weeks in Heaven...

We spent 7 Weeks in heaven at Villa Vista Milagrosa during the summer of 2022. The house is in Phase 10 of Ojochal, but quick easy up and down (from the house down to the Ojochal main entrance on the hwy is about 10 min. From there, the large BM supermarket in Uvita is only 10 min away). The house was well maintained and perfect for a family. The kitchen had everything you need to feel like you are at home. The home has a beautiful garden that winds down to different levels. Lots of fun for the kids. Most nights you could see the entire Milky Way galaxy above the pool. Monkeys howling in the morning. Toucans in the trees. Little critters that look like possum with a long tail were out in the trees in the mornings. Just lots of nature in general. Ojochal is a great gateway to many day trips. Lots of great restaurants in Ojochal, plus all of Uvita is 10 min away once you get on the main road. Of note, the house is super close to Playa Ventanas, arguably the best beach in the whole area for families and kids. Fresh water river comes thru the beach makes a great place for kids to play. Plus, lots of local food vendors makes a great day at the beach. And CAVES! Enjoy! Great house!

Lovely property exceeded our expectations

Gorgeous house and grounds. Very clean and well kept. Beautiful birds and plants. Heard howler monkeys every day. Awesome ocean view. Strong A/C in the bedrooms. We felt fortunate to have found it. It was a bit far from town but we had a four wheel drive and didn’t mind. Would love it even more if the sheets were upgraded. Thank you for a memorable stay. Highly recommend.

A Slice of Paradise

This was truly one of the most beautiful spots we've stayed in! The online pictures are accurate, but the true beauty and sense of awe one gets looking at the surrounding mountains or out to the ocean cannot be captured by photos alone. You have to be there, and we recommend you try it for yourself! The Kents' home is very well maintained, clean, open and airy. It was well stocked with kitchen supplies, linens, beach towels and beach gear, including a cooler and two umbrellas, amongst other things. The grounds are impeccably kept and the lush garden and landscaping truly allowed us to feel like we were in a rainforest paradise with all the amenities of modern living. We were very impressed with the fact that despite the abundance of nature, and critters, around us, no insects were ever found in the home. The house managers, Karen and Keith, were responsive and helped address any issues that came up during our stay. I would recommend a 4x4 for those staying in the area as a good portion of the mountain roads are unpaved. A part of the road the house is as well, but manageable with the mid-size SUV we had. Nearby beaches are picturesque and not overly touristy (we were here Christmas to New Year's week), and there are several restaurants (of all price ranges) and a few supermarkets to choose from, all within a short drive. Our family of five (myself, my husband, and three kids ranging 15-21 years old) had a wonderful time and hope to return to CR and Villa Vista Milagrosa again. Amazing views and peaceful location

This was our third trip to CR and first time to the South Pacific. Ojochal is great location to relax and recharge. The property managers Karen and Keith were so helpful and a great resource. They were able to get some groceries for us to get us started. And checked on us as there was no power our first night. They helped me set up safe transportation for my sister who joined us a couple days later. The house is beautiful and well maintained. I highly recommend staying at this location. We are grateful to the Kent’s for opening their homes to us. We would absolutely consider staying there again.

Stunning views and serene location

We have been to CR twice before, but first time staying in Ojochal. Chris's house is impeccable with stunning views of the jungle, mountains and the ocean. This is an ideal location for anyone who loves nature. The climb up to the house is half paved , so definitely recommend a 4x4. I had a passenger and it struggled a couple of times when it rained. Nothing too dangerous, but a 4x4 would make it easier. Karen (property managers) gave us ample if privacy and at the same time was extremely responsive via What's app. Even during these COVID times, we found things to be close to normalcy as it used to be. People in general take common sense precautions, but everything was open and people were out and about enjoying in the open. I highly recommend this property. We stayed here with three kids ages 1, 3 and 9 and our in laws. We all found the house extremely comfortable and inviting for all

Amazing Location - Best of Both Worlds - Jungle & Beach!

This property was fantastic! Everything in the listing was as is, with the exception of the sunshade on the upper deck in which upon arrival we were told was ripped the week prior. The property managers, Karen and Keith were fantastic! They were there for us from our Planning prior to arrival to anything needed during our stay. Additionally, we were due to get to the house about 6pm but due to delays at airport and drive to the house we were considerably later and they were very accommodating. The ride for the first time up to the house in the dark was truly an adventure but loved it and well worth the adventure! The rooms were all very spacious and beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were beautiful and had everything needed. Kitchen was perfect with pretty much everything you would need and more. Refrigerator does need repair, leaked throughout our whole stay and water and ice maker were broken. In addition, there was a free standing ice maker but that was broken as well. We decided to get a Chef for a couple nights as a treat in which Karen recommended Chef Umberto. He was truly fantastic! Set menus prior to arrival and each night was exactly as we arranged and was spectacular. Umberto was so sweet…..highly recommend. We had a local dog, Bonito, greet us on our first morning and was there for the rest of the week to hang out with us. Even slept at night on one of the pool chairs at night. So sweet, wanted to take him home. Saw monkeys, birds and heard howler monkeys every morning. Beaches were great! In particular loved Playa Ventana which was about 5 mins north of Ojochal entrance. Small but beautiful and only $4 to park. Playa Uvita was a little more expensive, $6 per person and parking was difficult. Very pretty beach. Many others to chose from that we were unable to get to. We did Jungle ATV Tours out of Uvita. Highly recommend. Tour guides were amazing. We saw so much of the area, from waterfalls, to tasting a local coffee farmers product in the middle of the jungle during one of our stops to some of the most beautiful views from the mountain tops. We also did the OSA Canopy Zipline Tour. This was about 20 minutes south of Ojochal entrance. Tour guides were also fantastic and would definitely do this again. I would recommend Mamma e Pappas Italian Restaurant in Ojochal. After our week there was still so much we hadn’t seen leaving us wanting to go back to Costa Rica again! Thanks for everything!!!

We built our retirement home after searching many countries. Only Costa Rica stood out for us as it provided a beautiful setting with both mountain and ocean views. The mountains meet the sea at the beaches where you can spend hours without seeing another person! We felt safe and were welcomed by the native Costa Ricans who are a friendly people, especially to Gringos like us who are not yet bilingual! So choosing Costa Rica was easy, but building a home in a foreign country was scary! We stayed in many houses and hotels in the area for about 4 years before we bit the bullet and broke ground. By staying in so many houses we learned what we wanted, learned what didn't work well and learned what was important to us. We had our home designed with multiple roof lines to capture a view with each step you take to the main level , while using the roof angles to capture the breezes from the valley.

We have fulfilled our dream, and look forward to leaving the cold Ohio winters to retire at Villa Vista Milagrosa when our 2 kids are off to college! We hope that Villa Vista Milagrosa and the southern zone of Costa Rica together make your vacation the most memorable!
