Splendid villa with large garden and game court in cool climate

Elegant villa with an enormous garden and impressive views of the Sierra de Ayllón, at a few minutes' walk from the old center of the picturesque town of Riaza and at 10 minutes by car from the La Pinilla skiing slopes.

Large villa built on 3 floors. On the ground floor it has: an attractive entrance hall; a large living-dining room with a dining table seating 10, a comfortable sitting room with a large screen tv, and a sitting corner decorated with beautiful old ceramic tiles; a family room with a tv and a sleeping couch; a guest toilet; and a double suite with a double bed and its own full bathroom.

On the second floor are 4 double bedrooms, one of which with its own bathroom and another one with 4 beds, as well as a third full bathroom.

In front of the living room is an ample terrace facing south, with a dining table for 14 and beautiful views of the large garden and the Sierra de Ayllón. The garden has a fenced old full-size tennis court with basket ball baskets, and a barbecue.

A delightful property in Riaza

We were a group of 8, used this property as a base for our motorcycle tour of the area. A very clean and well kept property with plenty of space, we particuarly made good use of the garden and bbq area. Our host was very hospitable and ensured that our needs were fully catered for. - it was just a bit too hot to make use of the tennis court!

Casa que atrapa

Es una casa clásica, muy grande, bien distribuida, cuidada, limpia y con un espacio de jardín inmenso. Tiene muchos espacios y puedes estar tanto dentro como fuera, con la sensación de no necesitar más. El entorno natural y las vistas a la sierra desde la casa y la terraza son espectaculares. Los niños disfrutaron como locos en el jardín. Está en una zona muy tranquila, pero al lado de todo, de modo que puedes ir andando al centro del pueblo en menos de cinco minutos. Está muy bien ubicada para hacer excursiones y visitas por la zona, pero sinceramente la casa es tan increíble que no necesitas mucho más. Los anfitriones son muy atentos, explicándonos todo acerca de la casa, el pueblo, y posibles actividades con detalle a la llegada y siempre dispuestos a ayudarnos. Fuimos en primavera: nevó, llovió e hizo sol y buen tiempo. Pocas veces se puede decir que uno disfruta de la casa independientemente del tiempo que hace, pero en este caso así fue. Una experiencia de 10 para ir en grupo o familia.

Estancia en familia espectacular

Está casa ha sido una maravilla. Cuando tienes una familia grande con niños pequeños, no es fácil encontrar una casa así. Con mucho espacio y un jardin impresionante. Además la casa está en Riaza, y puedes ir andando a todos sitios. Antonio y Viveca estuvieron muy atentos todo el tiempo cuando tuvimos cualquier necesidad y nos enseñaron todo tipo de planes para ir alrededor.

Perfect escape from Madrid

Writing this in English, since there doesn't seem to be a review in this language yet. This house is even better than the photos. You can tell it's a house that a family cares about and uses itself and it has interesting art and decor you wouldn't normally find in a vacation rental. The house is located right on the edge of Riaza, looking straight out over the countryside to a spectacular view of the mountains (Sierra de Ayllón), especially in the afternoon. It's the perfect spot for a big family or group of friends who want different spaces to hang out and not always be in each other's hair, both inside and outside. We were eight people, but there could have been a few more and it would have been fine. There's plenty of room for up to ten people to eat together inside or outside. We were worried about the August heat (it was one of the hottest weeks ever in Riaza and it was just unbearable 24/7 in Madrid), but the house is well-designed to have lots of shady spots, with shutters to keep out the heat during the day, and cool breezes from the mountains and good ventilation at night. No AC necessary, though we did bring a fan, just in case. The garden is really lovely, with green grass, roses blooming and lots of birds, even during the hottest part of the summer. Be sure to sit out on the back terrace at night to look at the stars--since it's the last row of houses, there's very little light pollution. Everything in town is within a 5-10 minute walk. The list of suggestions for restaurants, food, and places to go in the region was great. Antonio was a wonderful host and was available for anything we needed. Don't miss ordering lamb from the butcher and taking it to the bakery to roast it (platters in the house). Riaza is a great place to base yourself to hike in the nearby mountains or drive around to see the nearby medieval towns like Madriguera, Maderuelo, Sepúlveda, etc. Don't miss the walk through the Hoces del Río Riaza or a trip up to Puerto de la Quesera, where there are many hikes you can do, even on the hottest days.

Una casa de ensueño en pleno Riaza

La casa es preciosa, amplia, funcional y llena de encanto. Las vistas desde el porche son maravillosas, como también lo es la posibilidad de hacer una gran barbacoa y disfrutarla en el estupendo jardín. Con buen tiempo es una casa 10, en otoño o invierno estamos deseando probar su espaciosa chimenea y el magnífico salón.

Hemos disfrutado de lo lindo. 4 parejas con niños hemos pasado el fin de semana. Llevamos disfraces de Halloween, jugamos al baloncesto en la cancha, paseado por el jardín, barbacoa ... Nos ha hecho un fin de semana estupendo, y ya estamos pensando en repetir en época de nieve porque está a 8KM de la estación de la pinilla. Para. Terminar hemos culminado comiendo un chochinillo y un lechazo espectacular en el asador Mantimore. Muy re omendavle los torreznos. Muy recomendable ... lleno de posibilidades.

El trato y la atención de la persona encargada de entregarnos las llaves impecable. La vivienda está muy bien ubicada, es muy amplia y con unas unas vistas impresionantes, por poner una pega que nos ha parecido muy importante, es que le falta algo de inversión en mantenimiento, el lavavajillas no nos funcionó durante la estancia y con 13 personas fue un gran trastorno. Este electrodoméstico estaba bastante mal. Los colchones bastante incómodos, muy blandos y se notaban los muelles. La vivienda tiene una amplia terraza con sillas y mesas, pero estaban todas amontonadas sin colocar he incluso una mesa de cristal con la tapa partida en dos. Esta zona estaba totalmente desatendida y sin limpiar. En resumen, casa muy bonita pero con falta de mantenimiento.

GRAN CHALET CON FANTÁSTICO JARDÍN

Estupendo alojamiento para disfrutar de unos días de descanso. Fuimos 10 adultos y 4 niños y la casa es suficientemente grande para todos. Lo mejor sin duda es el enorme jardín con vistas a la sierra. La casa está dentro del pueblo situada a 5-10 minutos andando de la plaza y de un parque lleno de columpios para los niños, por lo que se puede disfrutar del pueblo sin preocuparse del coche. Recomendable para descubrir Riaza y los pueblos y sierras cercanas.

Very spacious and comfortable house at only 5 minutes on foot from the main square of picturesque Riaza, and at less than 10 km. from the skiing slopes of La Pinilla. The area has a lovely cool climate in summer, with sunny, dry days and cool nights.
