i key was located as stated and easy to find, the cottage was as described with many extras like our door table and chairs and BBQ although charcoal etc not provided
Only caution would be the eves upstairs I am 5.11 wife 5.2 we both found a bit of an issue when going to bedside table But would happily return It’s a nice location with a nice friendly pub near by
Apple Tree Cottage is just perfect for a relaxing holiday. The cottage contains everything you need .Great location and easy to find, many great places to explore close by. Tom & Mary were so helpful but not intrusive .Motor museum was fantastic and Weymouth needs to be explored .All in all a brilliant experience that we will do again.
The cottage is set in a pretty little village near the local pub. It's perfect for a couple. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge and an unusual bedroom with a huge comfortable bed. There is a small garden with a table and chairs which is a bit of a sun trap. Plenty of walks around and lots of places to drive too. I recommend it.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
The property was clean and had the services stated but it really needed updating re its furnishings
Though it had the requisite services the internal look of the property really needed updating . Because of this sitting in the downstairs was really depressing not what you would expect today.
What an amazingly beautiful property this cottage is!
On arrival we were greeted by the owner who came across to welcome us. The property was spotlessly clean and ready for our holiday.
The owners Tom and Mary are a friendly couple who are there if needed. The property was fully equipped and very homely in a beautiful quiet village setting. The village church clock sounded so lovely and reminded us of village life. Our car was parked on the property grounds and was very safe.
We had an amazing stay in this very homely cottage and would highly recommend it for couples that need to get away from the everyday rush of life
Thank you to Tom and Mary for allowing us to stay! It's been excellent!
Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique. Le cottage est très très agréable, bien équipé et très propre avec une décoration raffinée. Thomas est accueillant, très disponible et discret . Une adresse à conserver pour une prochaine fois.
We had a fantastic stay, it was a place like being home from home.
Tom and Mary were wonderful hosts.
The cottage was amazing and set in a beautiful, quiet location even though there was a railway track nearby.
With a few trains passing never once did it bother us.
We are so very happy we are wanting to return sometime.
Warm wishes, Maria and Ron .
Such a welcome little refuge from city life. Light, clean, comfortable, cosy, all the facilities I needed and a very comfortable bed and the roof windows gave me a perfect opportunity to stargaze at night... I also loved the choice of furniture in the living room: the chair and settee were very 1940s in style and also very comfortable. A perfect peaceful little refuge for a city dweller.
We stayed for a week whilst in between house moves. Comfortable and clean cottage, well equipped, although would be good to consider an updated smart tv. WiFi was a bit intermittent and our mobile phone signal was poor (EE & O2) but I could use WiFi calling. Turning into the lane a bit daunting at first but soon got used to it. Hadn't realised the cottage was close to train line, early trains (5.30am) did wake us up a couple of times.
Close to the pretty historic town of Sherborne and to Yeovil where we managed to go to the cinema for the firstl time in 2 years to see James Bond.
Overall it was a good stay for our needs.
Excellent property Excellent warm welcome from Tom and Mary in fact everyone in the village
Rose & Crown pub landlord Mark and Karen have great food at reasonable price and only a very short distance from the property loads to do and see in the area and plenty of walks of you want to leave the car at home.
All in all a great staycation and will be returning when we can.
Third or fourth time here which tells you a lot. Perfect location for me, near railway track but you seem to not hear the fast trains after a while. Somewhat difficult to exit the car park area if you have a larger car , but can be done. Overall excellent quality and the owners although are nearby do not encroach in your space and are there if you need anything. Hot shower lovely fluffy towels , milk in fridge on arrival , cool fan when needed , tv , and nothing extra needed . Highly recommended.
Lovely clean place with everything you need. Very comfortable bed and had a great 2 nights sleep. Definitely we'll come again hopefully for a bit longer next time!
