About this property

Gîte Olivier: sleeps 6, 3 bedrooms, A/C and heated pool, pleasures of Provence.

Spanning 70 m² and nestled on an enclosed 800 m² plot with its own private entrance, the *L’Olivier* gîte comfortably accommodates six guests.

It features three bedrooms—including a suite with an en-suite shower room—a fully equipped kitchen opening onto a spacious, light-filled living area, a bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub, and a second separate toilet (essential for keeping the peace in group settings).

Terrace & Outdoors: The hub for good times

The south-facing, shaded terrace is perfect for leisurely breakfasts or long, lingering aperitifs.

Barbecuing is highly encouraged; the neighbors approve, and so do the cicadas.

Heated pool & air conditioning: Provence, with added comfort

Open year-round, the gîte offers:
- A heated pool from mid-April to late September—even when the cicadas are still hesitating to come out.
- Air conditioning for those days when the sun decides to show who’s boss.
- A fireplace for warming up after winter hikes—perfect for thawing out both toes and conversations.

Families welcome (kid-tested and approved): we provide a crib, high chair, bottle warmer, bath ring, baby bathtub, changing mat, and more.

We love welcoming families here—and, more importantly, we’re fully equipped for them.

Coming with a baby? We’ve got it all covered.

Coming without a baby? We’ve got it all too, though you might not need it quite as much.

Garage & laundry room: Low-key luxury

A private garage for your car, motorcycles, or bicycles (or your pétanque ball collection—we don’t judge).

At the back, there’s a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer for those who like to head home with clean suitcases.

Everyone else can just pretend.

The bedrooms (where even the pillows are polite)

Bedroom 1
South-facing French doors with views of the terrace and the surrounding nature. 140x190 bed, spacious closet, 32" TV.
Perfect for those who like waking up to the sunshine... or the TV.

Bedroom 2
Two 90x190 single beds, closet, linens provided.
Ideal for kids, friends... or couples who’ve decided to sleep apart after a game of Uno.

Bedroom 3 – Master Suite
160x200 bed, closet, 32" Smart TV.
Direct access to the en-suite bathroom: walk-in shower, toilet, and sink.
The luxury of not bumping into everyone else in the morning.

Main bathroom featuring a bathtub, walk-in shower, double vanity, and a view of the hilltop village of Dauphin—perfect for meditating or wondering how they managed to build that way up there.

Fully equipped kitchen: oven, gas stovetop, extractor hood, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, citrus juicer, kettle...
Cupboard with a safe (to protect your chocolate or your keys, depending on your personality). It offers a view of the tree-filled garden and direct access to the terrace—ideal for cooks who like to keep an eye on pre-dinner drinks while preparing the meal. Air-conditioned living room with a fireplace for winter, a sofa, an armchair, a 55" Smart TV, a Bluetooth speaker, books, and board games.

Air conditioning for those days when even the olives are sweating.

Internet access for web addicts, remote workers... and anyone wanting to check the weather—even though it’s sunny every day.

Because a stay in Haute-Provence isn't just about sunbathing by the pool (though that is a great option), here is everything you can do within an hour of Gîte l’Olivier:

- Gorges du Verdon: Kayaking, pedal boats, hiking, swimming... and photos that will make people think you’ve traveled to the other side of the world.
- Colorado Provençal: Ochre cliffs worthy of Arizona, but without the snakes.
- Forcalquier & its citadel: A renowned market (Monday mornings), charming narrow streets, and a view that rewards the climb.
- Salagon Gardens: A magnificent ethnobotanical museum. You’ll leave wanting to become an herbalist.
- Banon & its cheeses: Worth a pilgrimage. Bring some home... if you can resist eating it all before you arrive.
- Simiane-la-Rotonde: A hilltop medieval village—perfect for pretending to be a knight... or an influencer.
- Esparron-de-Verdon: Paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming. Sports... but the relaxing kind.
- Valensole Plateau: Lavender and almond trees as far as the eye can see in summer. The bees are the real owners of the place.
- Saint-Michel Equestrian Center: Horseback rides through the hills. A "wild Provence" vibe, but without the mosquitoes.
- Wineries: Pierrevert, Manosque, and surrounding villages... Enjoy in moderation, but savor with passion.
- Manosque, home of Giono: shops, restaurants, markets (Saturday morning), L’Occitane workshops. Perfect for bringing back sweet-smelling souvenirs.

Because vacations are also—and above all—for the kids, here is a selection of activities guaranteed to fill their days with laughter and energy... and ensure they fall asleep within three minutes at night.

- Parc Spirou Provence – Monteux: Rides, mascots, thrills... The park where parents scream just as much as the kids.
- Dino Terre Park – La Baume: Dinosaurs everywhere. Ideal for little T-Rex fans... and for parents wanting to brush up on their paleontology knowledge.
- La Barben Zoo: Giraffes, lions, monkeys... An outing that appeals to everyone, even those who can't do a monkey call.
- Treetop Adventure Courses – Manosque / Gréoux: Courses for all ages. Perfect for kids... and for parents wanting to prove they’re still flexible.
- Esparron Water Sports Center: Paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming. Kids love it, parents keep an eye on things... and everyone ends up in the water.
- L’Occitane Workshops – Manosque: Sensory workshops, discovery sessions, fragrances. Kids learn, parents relax... and everyone smells great on the way out.
- Educational Farms – Forcalquier / Mane: Goats, chickens, donkeys... Kids feed the animals, and the animals feed the memories.
- Bowling & Laser Tag – Manosque: For days when the sun takes a break. Kids burn off energy, parents cheat discreetly.
