Our 3-bedroom house is situated on a hilltop on the border between the departments of the Vaucluse and Alpes de Haute Provence in the protected Luberon National Park, near an 18-hole golf course and along a popular cycling route. It has a large swimming pool, surrounded by terraced gardens below the house, and commanding views of neighbouring farms and vineyards. Amid 30 acres of pine forest, groves of black truffle-producing oak trees, fields and vegetation of the Luberon, the house is private and tranquil.

The perched village of Pierrevert, which hosts the only 18-hole golf course within the Luberon's borders, lies 5 kilometres east of the property, and La Bastide des Jourdans is the same distance to the west. The balcony of the house offers spectacular star-gazing and views. Aix-en-Provence is just 30 minutes away. The nearest substantial town is Manosque, gateway to the Gorges du Verdon, 15 minutes away.

Lovely retreat!

Had a wonderful stay, the pool is fantastic and the property is well situated and very private. Check in and out with Richard was a breeze! House was fairly well appointed, but may be a challenge for travelers not familiar with french country houses.

We had a good week. Beds are good and the kitchen is well equipped. Great swimming pool. Nice area downstairs to eat and relax. Due to the great weather we weren’t much inside the house.

Pierrevert a Great Place to Vacation

The house was all that was advertised. While a little difficult to find, when you do you will be most happy with every aspect. If pools are your thing then this is spectacular. If like me cooking is your thing then the kitchen is incredibly well equipped and you will have no problems at all. Terry is very helpful and his nearby manager was very welcoming on arrival but be warned he speaks French only. Realistically however you will need a car for this property unless you plan to spend the whole time there. I have no hesitation in recommending this property for rental.

Wonderfully Peaceful Location

From the very beginning of our engagement with Jack and Terry , communication on the finer details of the property were well explained and continued until our holiday ended. The local house manager Richard was very pleasant to deal with, explaining everything that we needed to know and be aware of during our stay. Richard was on-hand if we needed him but otherwise left us alone for the duration of our stay. Maison Luberon is well appointed, having all of the facilities that you could possibly want. The kitchen is perfect for anyone who knows how to cook, every possible utensil, pot,pan you could possibly need and enough crockery and cutlery for a large banquet.The location of the house was the key reason we chose Mainson Luberon and on arrival it was clear that the description was accurate. The house sits within 30 acres of its own mixed woodland and set back from the relatively quiet road - the house itself cannot be seen from the road, indeed on ‘pool days’ only the wildlife is visible. The house is perfectly located for a complete break from modern stresses and strains. The driveway to the property is as you would expect in such a rural location and was a little tricky to navigate in a vehicle lower than a standard family car, as is ours. In wetter conditions it would have be a challenge but we could have left the car further down the drive if that were the case. Our stay was amazing and hope to book again with Jack and Terry.

Maison et cadre super en Provence!

Nous avons beaucoup aimé cette belle maison provençale. Elle était très bien équipée avec tout ce dont nous avons eu besoin. Le niveau de confort était comparable à notre propre maison - des beaux linges, une cuisine avec absolument tous les ustensiles et plein de couverts, un salon pour se retrouver se soir et une piscine magnifique entourée de beaux arbres et avec plein d'endroits pour se détendre. Nous y avons passé beaucoup de temps, n'ayant pas envie de quitter un si beau endroit! Un grand merci aux propriétaires et a Richard, le gérant, pour leur gentillesse. Nous espérons revenir bientôt!

Schönes abgelegenes Landhaus

Wir (2E3K) haben den Aufenthalt genossen. Das schöne Haus 10 min außerhalb von Pierrevert liegt abgelegen in einem Wäldchen, schöner großer Pool, der 1-2 x pro Woche gereinigt wird. Gut und originell ausgestattet, viele Bücher Videos Gitarre Ventilatoren für jedes Zimmer, 2 Kühlschränke Gasherd. Bad recht einfach. Nicht überall Moskitonetze Tolle Umgebung für Ausflüge. Gute Fahrradstrecken. Pferdehof in Laufdistanz hinter dem Haus. Geht auch ohne Französischlenntnisse, ist aber schwieriger.

Un Havre de paix au coeur du Luberon

La maison est fidèle au descriptif photo et de l'annonce. Située au coeur d un bois de pins et de chênes la maison acceuille aisément jusqu'à 6 personnes, dans un environnement sans voisin. La maison est propre et confortable pour passer de bons moments au soleil ou à l'ombre de la tonelle. La piscine est très agréable, ensoleillée et avec de l'eau peu chlorée et salée. A cela s'ajoute un acceuil de très haut niveau par le manager de la maison et des informations complètes sur les lieux transmises par le propriétaire. Les commodités sont situées à moins de 10 minutes en voiture (Pierrevert) et les plus beaux lieux touristiques à 1,5 heure pour les plus lointains. En bonus, le magnifique golf du Luberon se situe à 2 km (parcours 18 trous + compact 5 trous). A recommander pour découvrir le Luberon et le Verdon ... si vous êtes prêts à faire un peu de voiture.

A piece of dog-friendly paradise

We spent a fabulous week here in July 2016. The house is perfectly situated - complete privacy and yet only a short drive to the village of Pierrevert and town of Manosque. The house is well equipped with everything you could need on holiday, even down to shopping bags should you forget to pack your own. You really do feel like you are staying at a friend's house rather than a rental property. The pool is perfectly situated and many an hour during the week was spent either in it or lounging by it with a glass of chilled local wine. Daisy (our Labrador) had a fantastic time wandering round the extensive grounds and surveying her domain from the balcony. We really appreciated the owners' pet-friendly attitude. Richard, who looks after things whilst you are there, was extremely welcoming and always on call if you needed anything (not that we did). Thanks to Jack and Terry for sharing their piece of paradise with us and we look forward to returning soon. Louise, Adam and Daisy

Le propriétaire est très gentil et très patient malgré toutes les questions que je lui ai posées. L'accueil est très sympathique. La maison est propre. Tout était bien sauf la literie qui nous a empêché de bien dormir. À part cela, qui a dû être corrigé cette année, je recommande cette location. D

Tranquil, and great for children.

Spent a lovely fortnight here in July 2015. While the highlight for us was the pool, our children loved exploring the surrounding estate and the local wildlife. The house was well equipped, clean and the attention to French-farmhouse-style detail is impressive. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the valley was always a great way to start the day. And although in a wonderfully peaceful location (dark skies at night make for excellent stargazing), we found civilisation and good cuisine within easy reach - Pierrevert having a lovely cafe/restaurant to spend a lazy lunch and an excellent vigneron (the Cuvée de Saint Patrice is amazing value!), not to mention two Domaines within walking distance. It's also well worth the hour drive to the Lac de Saint Croix and Gorge du Verdon. Jack was always prompt in answering my various questions. Many thanks.

Wonderful Place

This wonderful house is the perfect place to stay to get away from it all. The location is private and peaceful with fabulous views. The swimming pool is just right for lazy days. The french Manager could not be more helpful and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The house is well equipped with modern appliances and cosy bedrooms. There are lots of nice villages to visit and other activites to do not far from the house. This is a gem of place and we will certainly be visiting again. Janice & Paul (Suffolk, England)

Ruhe und Erholung

Wir haben 3 wunderschöne Wochen bei herrlichem Wetter in einer sehr angenehmen und ruhigen Umgebung verbracht. Das Haus liegt ruhig im Wald etwas abseits von der Straße und ist nur über einen Schotterweg zu erreichen. Alles im Haus war sehr sauber, die Ausstattung ist gut und vollständig. Der Salzwasserpool ist absolut toll, sauber und gepflegt. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir sehr freundlich von dem Verwalter empfangen. Alles in Allem: Empfehlenswert !

Für Ruhesuchende

Wunderschöne Lage im Wäldchen, wer die Ruhe sucht, findet diese hier. Das Umland bietet sehr viel zu sehen und es wird nie langweilig. Der Hausverwalter sollte einen Sprachkurs belegen, insbesondere da sein Arbeitgeber kein Franzose ist. Das Schwimmbad ist sehr schön und heisse Tage lassen sich so leicht ertragen.
