About this property

Wonderfully relaxing apartment in Phuket for longer stays.


We rent our Baan Puri home in Thailand to those who wish to stay for a month or more - whether retirees escaping the winter in colder climes, or professionals working on the island for a while and needing a place to come home to. We are unable to accept stays of fewer than 30 days. It's a lovely 105 square metre apartment (plus balconies) in a gated community, with living/dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. There are two big bedrooms, one double and one twin - so one could be used as a study if there's just one or two people living there. Broadband and satellite TV are included in the rent. The apartment is air-conditioned, plus fans, and there is a good balcony that overlooks the fabulous free-form pool, set in beautifully kept tropical gardens.

The Club House has a stylish restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and poolside drinks. There is also a fully equipped gym (complimentary membership is included during your stay), . There is 24-hour security on site and electronic facial recognition systems on all the gates.

Baan Puri is about a five minute drive from Bang Tao beach, still a working fishing village, with shops, restaurants, bars and facilities. Over the hill is Surin Beach, with more places to eat and shop. This part of the island is known as ‘Millionaire’s Row’, home to rockstar hotels such as the Amanpuri, perched on the hill that we look towards.

So you have the choice to dine out or cook at home - very much down to you!

All in all, a comfortable, home-from-home apartment with everything you need to live in comfort, keep in communication, swim, exercise, eat, drink and relax!

Great place for quiet relaxation, but walking distance restaurants and shopping are limited. But, overall if you just want to relax in beautiful surroundings this is the place!!

Great apartment

We stayed for 5 weeks in this lovely second floor apartment in Baan Puri. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and well maintained. Lovely pool area, gym, and on-site restaurant serving excellent Thai and Italian food. Other excellent restaurants easily within 5 minutes walking distance and 15 minutes walk to Bangtao and Surin beaches.

Great location

The apartment is spacious and clean. Baan Puri is kept immaculately and is a lovely space to relax. The main pool is superb. However the apartment is located directly above the childrens' pool and as a result can often be quite noisy. Although the apartment has two bedrooms, the one at the rear is noisy due to the air conditioners directly outside and a very bright light in the passageway. Some fixtures and utensils are becoming somewhat tired and could use updating. Having said all this, we had a brilliant time.

We're really glad that Baan Puri is living up to its well-earned reputation as a beautiful, pristine place to stay, relax and enjoy. It's always lovely to hear that our guests had a great time. Over the summer, which will be the first time we've been to Phuket post-Covid, we'll be refreshing and updating the fixtures and utensils to make future stays yet lovelier. We'll also be looking to provide a better blackout blind in the twin bedroom. Aircon units are an unavoidable feature in Thailand, though, but can't really be heard in the master bedroom. We really value all feedback as it allows us to improve the experience as far as we can for guests in our home.

Baan Puri Apartments. Beautiful Complex , apartment and gardens. Well equipped for most needs. Brilliant staff who could not do enough to make our stay as wonderful as they could. I must mention in particular a Thai lady on reception who we got to know as luckie who could not do enough to help with any issue we had ,and is a credit to the organisation with her excellent interpersonal skills .AJ the hosts agent here was always on hand to resolve any issues within her remitt, arranging cleaning ,transport to and from the airport, and keeping us well informed. Sehr schönes geräumiges Apartment

Das Apartment ist sehr schön und groß und komfortabel. Uns hat es an gar nichts gefehlt, Probleme die auftauchten, wurden umgehend gelöst. Baan Puri ist eine sehr schöne, ruhige Anlage mit einem grossen Pool. Man sollte ein Auto haben. Der einzige Minuspunkt war Die Straße in den Ort, sie war während unseres Aufenthaltes eine Katastrophe: Schlagloch an Schlagloch. Insgesamt haben wir die Zeit sehr genossen.

Schönes Apartment in herrlicher Anlage

Das Apartment in der Anlage Baan Puri in Phuket Bangtao Beach ist eine herrliche Oase um zu entspannen. Der Strand Bang Tao Beach ist fussläufig zu erreichen. Wir hatten einen herrlichen Urlaub und haben uns im Apartment und der zugehörigen Anlage mit großem Swimming Pool sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Ansprechpartnerin des Vermieters vor Ort war jederzeit erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We enjoyed our one month stay at Baan Puri. The apartment was very well equipped, quiet and relaxing. The beds and the furniture were clean and comfortable. The development is professionally managed with an on site restaurant. We enjoyed the well equipped gym and meeting many long term residents who also use the gym. It is well situated between two beaches, you can easily walk to either beach. Lots of restaurant options within walking distance. We used Tesco on line and delivery for most of our food supplies. It worked perfectly. Hope we get to go back again.

C 'est tellement bien que nous avons déja contacté le propriétaire pour une nouvelle location de plus de 3 mois !Appartement clair, propre trés bien équipé, dans une résidence calme dotée d'une magnifique piscine et salle de fitness avec sauna et hammam.Un restaurant proposant des plats de gourmets Thai à des prix raisonnables. Une réactivité rapide lors d'un petit problème dans l'appartement nous a permis de profiter pleinement de notre séjour.Autour de la résidence, de nombreux restaurants,petits commerces,locations de véhicules,taxis,tuk tuk et la plage de Bang Thao à 8/10mn de marche .Le personnel de la résidence trés accessible,et serviable est toujours prêt à rendre service et à faciliter un séjour parfait en ce lieu.Les autres plages, Surin, Kamala et surtout Layan beach sont de toute beauté et facilement accessible.Un moyen de locomotion personnel est plutot recommandé .(moto ou voiture) Pour finir, les différent contacts par email avec le propriétaire, sont de nature à renforcer encore cette sensation de bien être et de sécurité en ce lieu, car une réponse est à chaque fois donnée par retour de mail !C'est extra et rassurant !Bravo et merci pour le merveilleux séjour passé à Baan Puri, c'est pour tout cela que nous reviendrons comme prévu . We've been coming to Phuket since 1988, when we first stayed on Bang Tao beach at the Dusit Laguna (as it was called then)! We loved it so much we bought the apartment and come out most years. In all that time we've built up a 'little black book' of things to do and places to go, which we're happy to share with you. We live in London, but think of Phuket as our second home - because it is!

Why they chose this property

The south corner of Bang Tao, where we are, is still an active fishing village, with longtail boats coming n and out with the daily catch. It's tremendously charming and very quiet. But at the same time there are restaurants, bars, local shops, massage, beach clubs - just a five minute stroll over a sandy track to the beach about 250m away. At the same time, Surin Beach is just over the headland, with some sophisticated shops offering art, fashion and designer goods - so you have the local and international within easy reach.

What makes this property unique

The pool is absolutely huge, and runs the entire length of Baan Puri - shallow at one end and deeper in the main pool. The gardens are beautifully kept, and what we like is the fact that it's an intimate development - serving those of us who live there and their guests. And you get a lot of space for your money - 105 sq m in our case - plus a fully fitted and equipped kitchen so you can cook and eat at home if you prefer. Within a short driving distance, near the hotels in the centre of Bang Tao beach, you have as many restaurants, shops, coffee shops and supermarkets as you'll ever need. All in all, it's a quiet, sophisticated spot with amenities of all kinds within easy reach.
