About this property

Waterfront beach house

Our home away from home is perfect for family, friends, or just a quiet getaway. It has a fully equipped kitchen, flat screen TV with basic cable and a DVD player in the family room. It has three bedrooms. The first guest room has two twin beds and a full bed, the second bedroom has a queen and a twin bed, and the master bedroom has a king bed with connecting bath. We have linens for every bed with extra pillows and blankets. There are linens in both bathrooms. We also have a washer and dryer for your convenience. It is located on a canal, and has access to two private beaches on the Mississippi Sound. You can reach the ocean one block up the street. There are spacious decks in the front and back of the house with a swing and a charcoal BBQ grill. So pack your bags and come have some fun at the beach

Everything about our stay was wonderful. Meredith was a responsive host who rescued our already scheduled Dauphin Island trip when our first host was unable to host us at the last minute. The house is in a perfect location to get to either the Gulf beach or sound beach. And it was the perfect size for all three generations of our family!

This home was as described. Plenty of room for our family. We fished, walked the beach, checked out several sights on the island: Fort Gaines, the Audubon Bird Sanctuary, the Aquarium/ estuarium. The food was wonderful, shout out to Foxys Waffle Bar ( best breakfast), and Pirates Bar and Grill . We were all able to enjoy some much needed family time away from home. The views from the house were amazing. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Til the next time…

We had a GREAT time. The kids loved the crab traps at the house. We caught many crabs, catfish, jelly fish and even a sting ray. The house was very clean and comfortable and the beach access was just perfect. The house fit my husband and I, my in laws and both our kids very comfortable. Communication was very very quick. We would definitely stay here again!

Beach bums

Checked in on a Monday, the host got with us the next day informing us that she had someone coming to fix the broken ice machine on the fridge, she stayed in contact with us and answered any questions we had. Unfortunately one of us got stung by a sting ray while there, she even reached out checking on us! Would highly recommend this beach house within a few minutes walk to the main beach, or go out the back door and swim in the canal. You could even go across the road and be at a more private beach with not near as many people. Great place to stay! Very clean, and absolutely no issues what so ever!!

Great Location

This house is in the perfect location. You have the canal for your boat, right across from a beach on the sound and just a short walk away from the Gulf. Perfect for one large or two small families. We have stayed here 3 years and are ready for the 4th. Supplied perfectly to cook at home, well decorated and always clean.

Spring break getaway

We were very pleased with our stay. Was close to the waters ,which was exactly what we wanted. Was happy that the stairs had gates so that our young grandkids couldn't fall down the stairs. The seagulls took bread right out of our hands on the deck,so that was pretty cool! My older daughter and family that went with us have now booked it for June.

You could see the gulf and the bay from the deck. Plenty of room for the six of us and more. The owners answered all of the questions we had before the trip quickly and thoroughly. Highly recommended.

Wonderful location

Can’t say enough about this property. The bay is within steps of the property and the beach is only a couple blocks over, but you can see it off the front porch. My husband and I brought our two children( ages 14 and 7), and my brother in law also accompanied us. My son loved fishing at the bay and off the docks in the canal. We used the crab traps and caught 4 crabs. Everyone on the island was so friendly. We also got to meet Tig the island cat ( who is quite well known).The check in process was easy,as was checkout. The house was clean and had the amenities we needed. This was our first time to the island, but we will definitely be back!

Our Favorite Spot

We love this house! It has the sound access and view with a place to dock a boat and short walk to the Gulf. Perfect setup for two small families. The kids love catching crab all week and then having a crab boil on the last day. Our kids also love the Herron and cat that hang around.

Bay to Breakers

We loved our stay here! Plenty of options, as the house is situated between a canal and the bay - and just a short walk to the beach. We didn't mind the walk, but if there had been smaller kids with us a wagon might have come in handy. Gorgeous sunsets over the bay. The house had everything we needed - kitchen equipment, games, and even candles to enjoy dinner out on the deck. The wind kept the mosquitoes down during our time there. We will be back!

Great for a peaceful family getaway!!!

Coming from Texas, we stayed on a 4 day weekend. The properties walking distance from beach access on both sides of the island, vantage points from the wrap around deck, provided amenities, and owner suggestions/information were perfect for family, fun, sun, boating, crabbing and fishing. If we ever make it back to Dauphin Island, this will be our ideal location!
