Marguerita House is located in the centre of Bessan and 12 mins to the beach .
This is a delightful character village house that is ideal for families or small groups of friends. It is situated close to shops ,bars and restaurants. On the ground floor is a large spacious living room and kitchen. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, large filter coffee machine, fridge freezer and caters for all your cooking needs, leading off of the kitchen there are double doors and wooden shutters that can be opened to let in plenty of air during the hot summer months. The large wooden dining table can be extended to seat up to 10 people. In the living room there is a wood burning stove,a Flatscreen TV and DVD Player, also comfortable sofas and a large double futon. There are shelved boxes of toys and games for children young to older.Back in the kitchen and a traditional tiled spiral staircase leads upstairs to 3 good sized and comfortable bedrooms,a small Juliette balcony off the first double room,a second double room and then a large single room plus a double futon in the downstairs living area for extra guests. All beds have mattress protectors and pillows with protectors and bedcovers/duvets stored there for the winter. There are 2 bathrooms; a family bathroom upstairs containing a shower, basin unit and toilet.Downstairs a shower and basin and in the large kitchen a separate toilet.Beach toys and accessories are available. Market days in Bessan are on Tuesday,s and Sunday,s selling a wide range of local and organic produce. Stalls also sell a variety of clothes, accessories and gifts;a very popular market particularly during the summer months.Although there is no garden(as with many village houses)it is quite normal to sit outside the front of the property and you will see many locals do this also with small BBQ ,s too. Please note that I have had many great reviews from some wonderful guests and on several websites too (Tripadvisor and Airbnb ),however there was one negative review in 2019 regarding no WiFi,therefore I am pleased to announce that as of August 2020 WiFi will be available at the property! My aim is to please and make sure that you enjoy a comfortable stay and of course a fabulous holiday!

Do not rent! Terrible experience--NO wifi/internet in property; other omissions/errors.
BEWARE***Many inacurracies in the listing. The worst of these for us was the lack of ANY wifi/internet equipment in the property. When we asked for the wifi code, the owner denied that the posting included wifi/internet in the
Amenities, and suggested that we could look for it in the village. DEALBREAKER. We had to leave because wifi is essential for us. As of today, the listing still includes internet in the Amenities. Also be aware that there is a very steep, narrow spiral staircase, with no handrail, up to all 3 bedrooms (why no photo of this in the listing?). I have never complained or written a negative review for any of the 15+ properties I've rented over the years...This was by far my worst experience ever....I could go on but you get the picture. Stay away!

Sadly the guests did not read the listing correctly. There is no WiFi in the listing and never has been. This can and has been confirmed by the company homeaway. The property is a traditional village house, therefore maybe more careful planning would be advised when booking a reservation 2 days in advance particularly when there are special requirements for example easy stair access.A sad experience for all.
Nous avons passés 2 merveilleuses semaines et Sarah est super gentille, elle nous a super bien accueilli ,… rien à dire c’était génial

Fabulous property with an attentive owner
We had a lovely time staying for 2 nights at Sarah's property in Bessan. Attention to detail is fantastic, there is everything you need in terms of facilities and amenities, for example excellent kitchen equipment and lovely crockery and glassware.
The house was spotless and beautifully presented, and Sarah welcomed us warmly even though we were a few hours early - this didn't seem to be a problem. The furniture, especially in the bedrooms, was beautiful and very in keeping with a characterful French house. Very tastefully decorated throughout.
Sarah shared a lot of local knowledge with us to ensure we made the most of our stay, and was quick to answer any questions we had etc.
In short we would love to come back - Sarah is a great host who showcases her property beautifully. Thanks for a great time!

What makes this property unique
It was ten years ago when I first visited Bessan and after driving through sun drenched vineyards I was excited to arrive in a village that still maintained both it's ancient traditions and architecture .The house itself is in a prime location set in the historical centre and by the medieval church ;it is a special place to witness local festivities and really feel in touch with the community.Stand on the Juliette balcony and feel the gentle breeze from the Herault river that is a 5 min walk away past the vineyards.Everytime I visit Bessan it doesn't take long to wind down and relax ,a truly inviting house and village.
