Cozy Cattail Cottage a comfortable coastal estuary woodland home near Reedsport

The Cozy Cattail Cottage is one of 2 vacation rentals located on our secluded waterfront property comfortably designed for the quiet nature loving traveler. A great place to getaway, unplug, and relax, this 2 bedroom home can serve as your base camp for exploring the central Oregon Coast- Secluded yet only a 5 mile scenic drive to Reedsport to pick up groceries or head out to the beach.

The Cottage is furnished with lots of locally handcrafted myrtlewood, maple and walnut from the Myrtlewood Gallery.
The carpet has just been replaced with Pergo laminate flooring we are working on getting the photos updated.

Comfortable for 2 persons but does sleeps 4 with 2 queen size beds. There are wall heaters in each room for convenient heat, a ceiling fan in the kitchen and a cozy woodstove in the living room with a little bit of wood for a cozy fire during fall winter and spring. A portable fan is also available for that rare day over 80 degrees.
The kitchen is supplied with stove, microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster, dishes, pans, utensils, and dish soap. Just bring the groceries.
The bathroom has a full shower/tub, hairdryer, clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, and liquid soap.

There is a Blueray/DVD player with a selection of movies for your enjoyment as well as a Bose Wave radio/CD player. A few games, puzzles and books are also available for your use.
There is NO internet, cable, or cell service at the Cottage. Intermittent cell phone reception is sometimes available at the chairs by the shore. And more reliable cell reception out near Lower Smith River Rd.

The large covered porch with comfortable seating is one of our favorite spots to sit and enjoy nature rain or shine. There is also a picnic table and charcoal grill is available for your use.

You are welcome to bring your own canoe or kayaks and launch them from the waters edge. Just time it with the tide.

The Cottage is our only pet friendly rental. There is a $50 pet fee for up to 2 dogs. Please let us know if you are bringing a pet. Please clean up and keep your dog close and supervised at all times. And please Never leave them at the Cottage unattended.

If you are traveling with more than one family you can also rent our other unit, The Cozy Cattail Cabin Vrbo listing # 3853623, which is located ~100 yds from the Cottage and nestled behind the trees. (Pets, however, are Not allowed at the Cabin) Each unit would need to be booked separately.
Our base rate is for up to 2 guests with an additional fee for more.

Trailers are NOT recommended. If you are bringing a trailer, be aware that we do have a 10ft wide bridge with tight corners. Larger trailers are discouraged as you may have some difficulty with the inside corners. Small 8-14 ft trailers are usually OK just watch your rear trailer tire on the inside corner. Also note access is via a mile one lane gravel road, limited pullouts and tight turn around.
