When it says fully furnished it has everything. Well except food but thats only thing it didnt have. It was very clean and a calm setting. Me and my wife enjoyed every minute we was there.
This house sits in such a wonderful area. As we sat on the deck enjoying the hot tub, a herd of deer ran past just on the other side of the tree line. It was just majestic. It's so quiet and peaceful there. It was a very relaxing stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Our stay was fantastic. The cabin is great. Holly is an amazing host. She took care of every question we had. I will definitely recommend this as a relaxing vacation.
I love how much land there is it was so beautiful my dogs played so much I don’t think we spent anytime inside other then sleeping

Property was clean, remote and quiet. Owner gave good directions. It was extremely cold when we visited so Hot Tub was a little cool but that could just be due to outside temps. Cabin was well kept and stocked with needed essentials.

Awesome family cabin
Loved everything about this spacious cabin... From the beautiful property, to the adorable cabin and hot tub, to the awesome trails to explore! The cabin was spotless and so nicely decorated. The owner met us in town and was so gracious to drive us to the property and show us around. She was always quick to respond to our emails and questions. The kids and I loved exploring on the UTV trails! We will definitely come back for longer next time!

It was such a fun area! It rained most of the weekend which made it hard to fully enjoy. We will have to try to come back when there is better weather. There were many kitchen things that weren’t clean… but nothing we couldn’t clean ourselves!
We had a fun time. The property was clean and as described. The beds which are usually an issue were comfortable. We renown atv through the property owner and it was easily done. Be ready to sign some paperwork though. Only thing I would like to see is the hot tub leveled out so it’s not slanted. Otherwise it was nice and we saw plenty of wildlife.

Not bad but property could be updated and fixed up
Horrible stench of animal urine on rugs and carpets. Definitely didn’t want to walk barefoot. Almost felt like we would fall the floor in some parts of house. Very old and outdated
The hot tub isn’t level so makes a horrible gurgling sound. Enjoyed the king bed and fireplace
This cabin was sufficient for family this weekend for our son’s wedding. In my opinion though, it does not sleep as many as advertised. The 2 twin sleepers open and block the entrance to the master bedroom and the kitchen - no way to get in and out if they are being utilized. They are also very uncomfortable. The sofa and loveseat were preferred over the twin sleepers all 3 nights of our stay.
The cabin is advertised as pet friendly, and the carpet concurs.
The ladybugs are hatching out and seem to prefer the inside of the cabin. Dead ladybugs everywhere! There is also a major infestation of yellow-jackets in the west wall and chimney of the house - found dead and near-dead Yellowjackets on the floor in the living area when we returned in the evenings. Will mention it to the owners but can’t imagine that housekeeping has not already discovered them.
The cabin is VERY DARK - bring lamps! LOL!
The hosts were very friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had. The booking process was easy, and the hosts were very accommodating when I needed to change cabins due to more people coming than originally expected.
Overall, the cabin was sufficient for our needs, but we probably would not stay there again unless some major updates are made.

For future travelers-
We always appreciate constructive criticism. However, we never heard from this guest during her stay so we had no idea she had any issues until we read her review. She had originally booked a larger cabin and then decided to go with a smaller cabin. We would not recommend the hideaway beds had we known it was for adults. The Cottage is great for larger families that may have small children. It is not an ideal cabin for several adults. Regardless, we would have provided an air mattress had she reached out.
As far as the issue with the ladybugs and wasps, we didn’t realize someone had opened the chimney flute. When the guests turned on the fireplace the wasps gravitated to the heat. Had the guests called us, we could have repaired the problem right away. But there is not a nest in the wall.
Be prepared the listing info is a little deceiving
I called and emailed on Monday(before our Thursday arrival wanting information on UTV rental since the sights listed didn’t work…I never got a call back but received an email the day we were headed to the property….we ended up loading our UTV’s on a 28’ trailer and drove there…put the address in gps and it didn’t take us to the house we passed the entrance and the house…had to turn around in a monsoon with trailer and then called to ask for a little assistance for arrival since it was pouring rain…no answer so we went back the way we came in and seen a house up by the road that looked similar to the picture on VRBO, but wasn’t the same color so we drove to the entrance and was trying to find the house on a small road through the pasture…called again and left a message for help so we didn’t rut up their place turning around with such a long trailer….we got nothing back no call no messages nothing…finally figured out the house called the wild thing is not the same color as picture nor from the county road looks like a part of pine meadow cabins. Got in the house fine and decided to cook dinner on the grill the vrbo ad states it’s a charcoal grill but it’s not happens to be gas…and the gas was out, we then pull the top off of the hot tub after a 5 hour drive was wanting to relax…all to notice the water was nasty and no chlorine in sight! So I feel it’s sad we had to make a trip back to town and buy gas for the grill and chlorine for the hot tub
The next day we grab the directions to ride the property…. Be prepared to go on a wild goose chase per their directions, there are no signs or arrows anywhere and some of the trails haven’t been touched in a long time, may be ok for a 4 wheeler but our UTV’s took a beating from the trees
Lastly the yard wasn’t mowed nor looked like it was a maintained as the other cabins
I never give a bad review but feel they got our money and could care less if anything else mattered
Next time we will stay in Mena found better places that looked cared for

After speaking with the guest after she checked out, it was confirmed that she was not calling the number that we provided her on the confirmation letter or the VRBO website. She was calling an outdated number that’s still floating around the internet. We would have gladly provided gas or hot tub chemicals if she would have reached out through the VRBO platform.
Lastly, we had a week of floods. We could not mow without the chance of getting our mower large commercial mower stuck.
Very clean, quiet little cottage. Easy check in and host was very responsive to messages. Not fancy but exactly what we were looking for. Does not have mountain views, but nearby trails were good for hiking and ATV riding.
A clean and comfortable stay for 4. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the Jacuzzi was great at nighttime. We named the cat on the porch Reginald and the sweet little momma dog that visited, Delilah :) The only thing was the house has no numbered address on it and no mailbox...a bit tricky to find but we used the picture in the description.
This was our second stay and it is starting to feel like our home away from home. We rented a UTV from Doc's again for a day of riding the trails on the peoperty. It gets delivered and picked up at the house. And we found even more trails to ride this time (it had rained last time and I think some were inaccessible in April). My husband and kids killed it catching big bass in the ponds and had so much fun fishing. We also spent a lot of time swimming at Low Water Bridge, which is just down the road from the house. You are actually in Oklahoma there and It is the same river as in Broken Bow. My kids played on the rope swing into the river, we floated, swam, relaxed, and enjoyed every minute. I hope to have kayaks on out next trip. We have sent so many people to this property - I hope it doesn't get so busy we can't book because we will be back!
Had a great time spending time with some good friends. We rode around though mena and got to see some pretty sights. The trails to ride on here was also very fun. Would stay here again.
