Stayed for one night. Just after arriving a beautiful deer walked in front of the house and hung out by the car for a few. Really cool sight. House itself is beautifully maintained/clean. We enjoyed the hot tub and using the firepit to make smores. Played with the foosball table and watched TV. Plenty of room for our family of 3 (plus 2 dogs). Pet friendly. Secluded location but still close to restaurants/shops. We visited the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, which is only 15 min away. I would recommend, if possible, to get errands done before dark, however. There are a lot of turns to get to the house.
We enjoyed our stay and the host was great, responsive, and kind. The cabin was perfect, homey, great jacuzzi. We wished there were TVs in all the bedrooms but that would have been our only personal drawback. Would totally stay there again.
We enjoyed our stay at Three Bears Cabin. The house was fully stocked with everything you need. Check in process was easy. Our only complaint was having to take our trash with us. This was the first rental we have had to do that and it was not convenient in the least. The drop stations are 25 minutes away. Beds are comfy and the porch and firepit area were a nice place to relax. We all enjoyed ourselves and we would recommend this place for Banner Elk visitors.
Cozy property. Not in town but not too far away either.
Was good size for a family of 4 but had plenty of room for more people.
Had all the necessary amenities.
We had a great stay. Toiletries and towels were a nice touch. It’s worth noting that the cabin is small - photos make every room look much larger. Must like your crew ; )
This property was exactly as listed, and the host was very responsive even with the smallest thing. The fireplace went out during our stay, and they had a repairman out within an hour. Not necessary, but certainly appreciated! Close to hiking and downtown, but secluded too. Very well stocked bathrooms and kitchen. I would recommend
Very nice property very clean and well equipped the hot tub was great and clean. The property host was great got back to us right away if we reached out to him.
5 Stars
We were in town for a wedding, but we spent a lot of time playing in the area as well. We enjoyed the mountain coaster, Tweetsie Railroad, and a ropes course. This home is close to a lot of fun activities! The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the different options for movies/TV. The hot tub was great to have as well. As camp cook, I appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. Thank you for a great stay!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this cozy cabin in the woods, and it was everything I hoped for—and more. Nestled deep in nature, the cabin offered the perfect escape from the chaos of daily life. The surrounding forest was quiet, serene, and filled with the sounds of birds and rustling leaves, which made every morning feel like something out of a movie. The cabin itself was warm, inviting, and thoughtfully furnished. From the crackling fireplace to the comfortable beds and rustic charm, it felt like home the moment we walked in. The kitchen was well-stocked, and we enjoyed cooking meals while gazing out at the trees. We especially loved the porch—it was the perfect spot to sip coffee in the morning and watch the sunset in the evening. There were also plenty of trails nearby for hiking and exploring, and we even saw a few deer during our stay. At night, the sky was filled with stars—truly breathtaking. If you're looking for a quiet, romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat to reconnect with nature, this cabin is perfect. We left feeling refreshed, recharged, and already planning our next trip back.
Cute cabin that was extremely clean! Snacks were waiting for us upon arrival which was very thoughtful. Check in/out process was very easy! Fireplace worked great! Would recommend dish towels in the kitchen as we felt we were being wasteful using so many paper towels. King bed in master bedroom upstairs is very high off the ground - had to use bed frame to climb into bed so would just keep in mind if someone has knee issues. Would also recommend drop down shades for main living space - beautiful windows throughout the main floor however felt a little exposed at night.
Property was great from everything from the actual cabin to its location. Literally 3 minutes from downtown Banner Elk. We stayed the week of Christmas '22 and the property provided all the holiday vibes. Got snowed in the very first day and it only added to the propertys grandeur. All aspects of the property(appliances and amenities) were operational and up to date. Had some personal set backs the morning of check in and the host was more than professional and accommodating. Very pleased with the entire process and stay. Highly recommend.

Thanksgiving at Three Bears Cabin
We had an enjoyable time and I'll mention a few pluses. The cabin was very clean, beds were comfortable, living area had comfortable furniture, the hot tub was relaxing, plenty of towels, lots of blankets, a play area for the children, kitchen was well stocked with the exception of a roasting pan for the turkey, a hard to operate can opener, and lack of sharp knives. The oven was off by about 25 degrees, no light above the stove, no light above the sink.
The inside of the cabin is quite attractive and we had plenty of seating for eating. The cabin is located in a very pretty area and near a grocery, eating places, and attractions.
All in all, it was a great vacation.

We are glad that you enjoyed our cabin. We'll get those items addressed. Take care, my friend.
Great little weekend getaway. Close to tons of activities. The game room was a definite plus, the kiddos had so much fun playing checkers, fooseball and uno. The only drawback was some cleanliness issues. Outside the deck had leftover limes littering the place as well as broken glass that we had to clean up as soon as we got there. Some of the stones of the firepit structure were knocked over. Also, when we opened up the hot tub there was a juice box floating in it as well as hair and chewing gum. We did not use the hot tub.

Cabin in the trees! Well stocked and clean.
I would highly recommend this beautiful cabin. It's conveniently located and surrounded by beautiful trees. It's the first rental in years that I've been to that was completely stocked. Without fail... I always forget something but no worries it was all covered. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus! My only wish would have been to have an extra tv to appease my older kids. Don't take me wrong ...my complaint is about my kids more than a lack of an extra tv. 😉
We loved the 3 Bears Cabin!

Regina - That is hilarious! We will install a TV in the master bedroom in September. We are thrilled that you love our cabin.
Great mountain getaway in the trees. We really enjoyed morning coffee on the porch and sitting by the fire pit and hot tub was a nice way to end each day. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was very clean. One thing I would recommend is updating the couch. It was very uncomfortable. We had to put pillows under the cushions because of the huge gap. It was impossible to sit on without the extra support and then was still not very comfortable. We spent most of our time outside so it wasn't too much of an inconvenience but did make it uncomfortable when we tried to have a movie night.

We are glad that you enjoyed our cabin. The couches were upgraded after your check out. The new ones are comfortable. I look forward to hosting you again.
This location was the perfect basecamp for relaxing and spending time with my parents, husband, and three-year-old daughter. My husband and I took the upstairs room and our daughters pack-and-play fit in the closet, she loved it and thought it was so cozy. The king size bed was beautiful, and we slept so well while we were there. Just outside of the bedroom was a little landing where my daughter enjoyed playing.
We all enjoyed the indoor and outdoor living spaces. The living room was comfortable and charming and we loved the gas fireplace that came on with the flip of a switch. We also cooked all of our meals in the cabin and liked the convenience of not having to go out. The side patio had a hot tub and fire pit that we enjoyed.
Two of our favorite outings were snow tubing at Sugar Mountain Resort and gem mining at Sugar Creek Gem Mine, both of these places were only a fifteen minute drive down the hill from the cabin.
The feeling I got in the cabin was very welcome and at home. I messaged the owner once with a question and he responded right away. If you choose to stay here, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Not what I expected
Based off the listing I expected the cabin to have a view, games the kids could play, and comfortable couches. This cabin has no view during the summer and the games were all missing pieces so really there are no games that you can play. The fooseball table is listed as being a 10 in 1 game but it again is missing parts so it’s just a fooseball table. The couches are dated and you sink into a hole we’re the metal digs into your back due to it being a dated pull out couch. When you flush the toilet on the second floor it smelled like sewage. The drying machine didn’t work and it took over 7 hours to dry a load. Then the owner tried to have a new dryer delivered on the second day of our stay and expected us to wait around to let lowes deliver. This listing is not accurate and is misleading.
