Great studio apartment. It was clean, spacious, and the location allowed easy access to downtown Portland and other notable Maine locations. Sam was a great host. He provided a list and description of wonderful restaurants to visit. Communication was excellent. Daisy the dog is so sweet and there to greet you when you leave for the day and return at night. Great place and location for a couple visiting Portland and the surrounding Maine area. Thanks Sam and Daisy the dog!

Fantastic location and place to stay

We had a great time in Portland, Maine and could not have picked a better place to stay. Sam and Daisy were wonderful hosts. The rental was even nicer in person, had everything we needed and was in a great location. We would stay here again the next time we visit beautiful Maine.

Everything was great and the property owner was friendly and gracious. He went above and beyond with everything. If I come back to Portland I woulda stay there again. The location was fantastic...only about five minutes from the airport...and close to many other things. Highly recommend for two people!

Sam and Daisy were the best host anyone could ask for. Daisy greeted us at the car as soon as we arrived and was the sweetest dog. Sam was an amazing host and had fantastic recommendations for our stay in Portland. All of his recommendations were outstanding and did not disappoint. We stayed here last year and were delighted to find it available also this year. It’s is perfect for us, an immaculate studio apartment with the necessary amenities and a most gracious host. The location is close to our son and his wife so we are able to easily be together and explore the area from home base. Very comfortable and cozy. Not listed among the amenities, but one of our favorites, is Daisy the adorable Bernese Mountain dog, aka New Best Friend. She’s special and loves attention, and we love to oblige.

Fantastic location in quiet neighborhood, short drive to downtown

So glad we had the opportunity to stay at Sam's place! His dog, Daisy, was an added bonus. The location can't be beat, it's located behind Sam's house above the detached garage, in a quiet neighborhood. It was a short (10-15 min) drive to downtown Portland to explore the city. Sam was a great host, very helpful with recommendations. The flat itself was clean and well-equipped. Would be great for a a couple, or a family with kids as the sofa is a sleeper sofa. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the bed, as it sags a bit in the middle and we found ourselves rolling inward!

Enjoyable stay

Sam and his dog, Daisy were gracious hosts. They greeted us upon our arrival and welcomed us to our home away from home. Daisy loves people and we enjoyed loving on her during our stay. Sam was very accommodating with our requests. making our stay enjoyable. He had printed information on the table concerning how to use things in the apartment and other local information that might be helpful. Enjoyed having the w/d in the apartment as well. Location was easy access to interstate and sites around Portland. Apartment was as presented in the listing. Highly recommend.

Loved our stay with Sam and Daisy!

We had a very enjoyable stay in Sam's studio. Sam was kind enough to provide us with a cot, which allowed 4 girls to fit comfortably. The pull out couch was not very comfortable, but it was doable for a long weekend stay. Sam was an amazing host who gave great recommendations. We really appreciated his hospitality, especially the coffee he provided! His beautiful dog Daisy stole our hearts! Great location, only about 10 min drive to downtown Portland. Thank you!

I moved to Portland 34 years ago from NYC and discovered the perfect place for me to live and work. I ski, I sail, I snowmobile, I hike, I ride balloon tire bikes, I travel the rural mountain roads in an Alfa Romeo and I do it all within minutes of my home. You can too.
