Introductory Pricing! A Little Bit of Paradise on the Coast of Maine

Welcome to Coveside Cottage, a complete 2026 rebuild of the original cottage, and a little bit of paradise on the Maine coast. Offering incredible views of Bar Harbor, Mt. Desert Island and several other islands, Coveside Cottage is the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of the real world.
Wake to the sound of loons, lobster boats, bell buoys, and the gentle lapping of waves. Play some croquet on the spacious front lawn, relax on the front porch, or around the firepit at the water's edge.
History abounds on Ferry Rd. in Hancock - it was once a bustling hub for people going to and from Bar Harbor, with a railroad, a grand hotel, and ferry service to Bar Harbor.

About the host

The property has been in our family for over 55 years. It started as a very small and modest "camp", which was added on to over the years. In 2025, it was completely torn down and in 2026 it was rebuilt to provide more modern conveniences (and storage!)

Why they chose this property

The views are breathtaking and the surrounding roads are quiet and perfect for walking and biking. There are stores and restaurants nearby, and Bar Harbor is only about 40-45 minutes away.

What makes this property unique

There are very few saltwater properties in Maine that provide both ocean and mountain views. The lawn provides space to set up a croquet game or kick around a soccer ball. There is even a "clubhouse" for kids.
