Beautiful Lakehouse with private dock on Apple Canyon Lake!

The Ho Hum East is a beautiful lake house with private dock on pristine Apple Canyon Lake! The house is named in honor of my grandparents who ran the Ho Hum Motel in Denison, Iowa :)

This is a place to unwind, de-stress, and have some family fun! The house features all brand new mattresses in 3 full bedrooms plus flex space; master bedroom with queen bed, guest bedroom with 1 queen and 1 twin, loft bedroom with 2 queens, pull out couch in living room, and 2 mini couches in the loft that pull out into twin beds. Large open living space that is great for entertaining, HUGE wrap around deck where you can enjoy amazing views of the lake, as well as a large backyard with gas grill.

Lake house charm with all the amenities you need to make a memorable weekend. Private dock is great for swimming or fishing. The house also has a stand up kayak that can be used, as well as fishing poles. Outdoor dining table and 2 fire pits, one by the dock and another closer to the house. This is a private lake so you're unable to bring your own boat, but there is boat rental available through the marina.

Great Lake House

This is a great place to vacation with family and friends. The lakefront landing is gorgeous and had plenty of room for fishing, dining, bonfires, and a dock for all lake activities!

Took my son and his friend for a quick fishing trip on the lake and we loved it. It was clean, roomy, they had beautiful access to the water and just overall a really good time. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Last minute weekend get away

My family and I decided to have a great weekend get away before our son graduates from high school and embarks on his next stage of Life. The cabin was fantastic, everything was even better than expected. The host was great to communicate with, we look forward to staying there again.

Fishing fun

We enjoyed our stay. Best part was our grandkids got to fish. We had fun hanging down by water. Front porch entry was really cute with the pumpkins, sign, and plants. Would definitely stay there again.

This place was perfect for our getaway! Property manager was amazing, explained everything, checked on how our stay was, the house was so clean, everything was very well stocked, and let’s not forget the amazing views of the lake and the amazing patio on the lake! Excellent place to stay

We really enjoyed this very clean house. Kids and I loved playing in the water none stop. Went to the pool one day and all were happy with the diving board. Nice evening sitting by the water with a fire going. Thank you for a great time.

ACL House

We had a great time at the ACL house. The house was beautiful; we were able to house all of our family easily. The dock and shoreline were nice. We were able to use existing water toys and our own easily.

We liked that the property was on the lake. We would love to explore in the summer. Cozy loft area for the kids. Netflix availability was great as well. We did not like that we were responsible for taking the garbage to a community trash area. We could not find it and there were no directions. We planned to throw out the garbage Sunday at check-out, however, the area did not open until after 2 on Sunday which is after check-out hours. Thankfully, the owner was kind enough to allow us leave the garbage at the home.

Beautiful Lake Home

I rented this property for a girls weekend with a few friends. The property is beautiful and the home is cozy and well stocked with everything we needed. We drove to the waterfall nearby, definitely a must see if you stay here.
