Chrissy was a wonderful and welcoming host. The rental was clean and very nice. The view of the lake was breathtaking. Our family enjoyed our stay in the Queenstown rental. The house was close to all the amenities in town.
Goldfields gem is a wonderful property. Great proximity to the airport, shops, and skiing. Chrissy is a generous host and provided so much great information that really helped make us maximize our short stay.
I have now stayed at this property twice with friends and it’s a fantastic base for exploring Queenstown and surrounds. We always find an excuse to head back to the house to watch the evening light over the Remarkables.
Great view of the lake and a short drive to town. Easy access down the hill to the Frankton track. Appreciated all the suggestions to make our stay in Queenstown even more memorable. Would stay here again!

Amazing place to enjoy!! Overlooking the lake from inside or the deck was perfect. Have already recommended to many others and plan to stay again. Clean, wonderful and a must!
Great place to stay, great views while you relax and chat or head into town not far away for more activities.
I found Chrissy excellent to communicate with, and overall the girls really enjoyed their stay = thanks
Beautiful, clean, cosy, warm home with everything we needed. Great location, stunning views & nice little touches, like the cookies & decent body wash & shampoo. Host communication was awesome, nothing to fault at all, thanks Chrissy 😊

About the host
Hosted by Chrissy S
Queenstown has been home for around 20 years and I know the region well. Outside of work I am usually skiing, hiking, trail running, biking, or exploring the local tracks and trails. I have also worked in the local wine tourism industry, so I am happy to share recommendations for walks, trails, day trips, and Central Otago food and wine to suit your group and the season. I aim to make every stay straightforward and comfortable, and I am easy to reach if you need anything.
Why they chose this property
Goldfields Heights is a great base because it is quiet and elevated, with a more relaxed feel than staying right in the centre of town. You still get easy access to central Queenstown, Frankton and the airport, so it is simple to head out for skiing, hiking, biking, lake activities, and day trips around the region. After a busy day, it is also nice to come back to a peaceful neighbourhood away from the bustle.
What makes this property unique
Goldfields Gem combines panoramic lake and mountain views with the practical comforts that make a Queenstown stay easy. You get Lake Wakatipu and Remarkables views from every room, plus year-round comfort with heat pumps and warm bathrooms (underfloor heating and heated towel rails). It is also ideal for ski and bike trips, with free parking, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, and a lockable storage shed for skis and bikes. For nights in, there is a Smart TV with Freeview, complimentary Neon access, and board games. Maps and local information are provided, and I am happy to share local tips if you would like ideas for your stay.
