Ventnor Anchorage Site

Anchorage Place consists of two apartments - The downstairs apartment is available for rental and has all the facilities a family needs for a home away from home.

There are 2 bedrooms:

- BR 1 - Queen bed

- BR 2 - A set of bunks and a single bed sleeps 3 children

- Each bed provided with doona, pillow and spare blankets

- Guests to provide sheets, pillow cases, towels and bathmat - these can be supplied for an extra charge.

Please note that we require a minimum booking of 2 nights.

great place to stay,

great location, quiet spot close to the beach, spacious lounge/kitchen/dining area. Off street parking, nice private backyard area. This place was better than our expectation would not hesitate to stay here again & I hope we do.

Superb

Nice place to stay . Board games keep kids busy and they enjoyed a lot . We really love staying there. Host has provided enough essentials for the family to stay. We love our time.

What an amazing relaxing stay

The property is so lovely. The garden is amazing and there are all sorts of fun crockery for any special occassion. I am very creative and found the whole property so inspiring. The art around the house is very interesting and there are so many books to read. The host is wonderful

Family Getaway

Quaint, older style accommodation. Comfortable beds. Clean and tidy. Nice outdoor seating area. Quiet location with a good beach at the end of the street approx.500m.

Excellent accomodation

The property was well presented. Clean and tidy. The check in process was easy. The supplying of tea and coffee (both pod and ground ) was fantastic and well appreciated. Nice and quiet location at Ventnor. Thanks we had a great weekend.

Great price and location

We stayed here in the high of summer, and it was a ten minute drive from everything, with a short walk/drive to the beach (which was much nicer and quieter than Cowes). The place, while not fancy, had everything we needed. Not having internet was fine as we knew this in advance, however mobile reception was absolutely terrible, no fault of the owners, just something to be aware of. Would definitely stay here again.

Cute little place, great location

We really enjoyed our stay, the place was perfect for the 2 of us. Having so many movies to watch and games to play was fabulous. There were quite a few spiders around the house which we could handle with the provided bug spray, and having construction work next door was a bit frustrating - not the properties fault just worth noting. Communication was great, Alisa was very welcoming and accommodating. Great location, really close to a nice quiet beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Musty smell and too many cobwebs

I stayed here because of the good reviews. I must be fussier than others because upon entry, there was a musty smell to the place. There were also cobwebs and a few too many spiders for my liking. The bathroom also looked old and outdated. I actually didn't like the place at all and booked another place to stay in. It was a huge disappointment and waste of money.

Excellent location and place

We stayed at this lovely place over the Christmas and it was a dream. Everything that we needed for our stay was found on the place and it was large and spacious, perfect for our 5 night stay. Plenty of movies and games to enjoy as well. Although, there is a slight vintage smell, it was all and all a fantastic experience. The location was also excellent, bring centrally located, it's around 5-15mins drive away from all over Phillip Island. Alisa was also great host, with quick responses all round.

Great

Great for the price. Nice quiet area and short walk to a quiet beach. House was very clean with all the essentials. Good DVD library helped offset the lack of wi-fi/4G. There was a bit of a musty smell but it was ok as long as we kept the windows open. Pretty sure the listing said towels were provided but we couldn’t find any? Was fine, we didn’t bother contacting cause we just used our beach towels. Thank you :)

There was a problem with online booking. I did not receive confirmation or details of entry. This was resolved by phone at the last minute. Otherwise property was good. I had stayed there before.

Uninhabitable

The apartment had a terrible smell that was being masked by an abundance of reed diffusers dotted around. We could not stay there and had to find alternative accommodation. The furniture was old. Couches were dirty and the floors were covered on stains, dust and dirt and appeared to have not been vacuumed around and under the bed.

Lovely family holiday

Great location close to the beach and a short drive to town. And for rainy days, lots of great books, toys, and DVDs for all ages. Our host was great at getting back to us and very helpful. Our family had a lovely holiday here!

Quiet getaway

Cozy and quiet place, close to the beach. Host was warm and inviting. Only negative was the smell inside the home but nothing some air freshners couldnt fix. Overall had a great experience and would visit again.

Good for the price

The home is fine. Kids beds were very uncomfortable so we had to use the spare blankets to try and add cushioning. Queen bed was comfortable. Good location which is nice and close to town.

Beautiful place, lovely owners!

My friends and I had a terrific time staying here. It is very close to the beach and was very well kept when we arrived. The owners are absolutely lovely as they were easy to contact and communicated promptly with us regarding our concerns. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a cozy environment close to the beach!
