Great house!!

Very nice house. Perfect for our family of 8 plus a toddler and dog. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Parking is good just having an SUV would be best. Internet was a bit choppy as well but to be expected in the woods. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful experience at this rental. Check-in was very easy. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of space for our family and dogs to enjoy. My only two suggestions would be that it should be listed that the grill is charcoal and the check-out instructions should be included in the vacation portal. It was emailed to me the day before we checked out and I didn’t see it until we returned home. I was looking for check-out instructions and couldn’t find anything. Otherwise a very nice getaway.

Great house!

We had a wonderful time @ Boxer Overlook as a party of 6 adults and 3 small children! The downstairs level was perfect for 2 toddlers, their parents, and infant. The layout was great upstairs as well. The kitchen was well stocked, there was easy access to Wisp, grocery stores, etc. and the hot tub was lovely. The only opportunities for improvement were the spigot in the kitchen and some of the cabinet doors were loose at the hinge. Also, we were not aware of the 30 steps down into the property.

Great mountain escape

Awesome cabin, fully stocked kitchen but not extras. In other cabins we rented the toilet paper was fully stocked, but not this one, its one roll per bathroom. Also usually a salt and pepper shaker hanging around or aluminum foil from previous guests but not that either. That wouldn't stop me from coming back, the place is beautiful.

Amazing DCL rental

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Boxer Overlook. Beautiful view. Loved the deck space (2 large tables with lots of chairs), hot tub, and fire pit (ample wood provided). Kitchen was well stocked. Bedrooms were large and the mattresses were comfortable. Prime location, easy to get to everything DCL has to offer. My only complaints are that the basement smelled of urine (it’s a pet friendly house) and only one kitchen trash bag was provided. Make sure you bring your own toiletries (none provided) and paper supplies (scant provisions).

Terrific View

Our family of 6 adults and 3 children (age 3,2,and 1.5) plus our two Aussies stayed at Boxer Overlook from Apr 20-27, 2024. We loved the view and the deck. The parking and access was a bit of a challenge for our 4 cars as the property is on a steep hill but that was a minor thing since the house and view were lovely. The kitchen was very well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The deck had an abundance of chairs and tables. The manager responded promptly when needed. The property is very close to the state parks and has a very nice tennis court in the community. We loved it!

Nice place , but unaware that we needed four wheel Drive to get to it . Inadequate winter maintenance. We spent a lot of time shoveling and salting to get in and out of a steep driveway . Said we had 5 parking spaces but we only had access to 3.

Great place for family reunion

Lovely setting and great home for our family of 4 couples, 3 grandkids and one dog. Spotlessly clean with many amenities. Lovely master, recently renovated. Lower level with pool table & tv got use for the late night owls without disturbing little ones sleeping upstairs. Roomy kitchen for cooking for 11 people, nice dining room table and great deck tables facilitated great meal times. Setting of home is on steep hill, as described, really only 4 parking spots and very little flat yard but Nature Center, children's playground and waterfront a close drive away at Deep Creek State park. Other access to tennis courts and swimming pool available that we didn't take advantage of. We will consider this again!

Beautiful view, pet and family friendly

House is big enough for an extended family gathering. We stayed over Easter and the house had everything we needed to make a family meal. The house had a great view. The property was a little challenging with being on a hillside. The driveway was very steep and hard to hold multiple cars. The property was not very clean upon our arrival and that was our biggest issue. The kitchen cabinets had splattered food on them and the fridge smelled of fish. The house was pretty, but in need of a deep cleaning in the main areas.

Great college reunion trip!

We had such a great time! The view was amazing! Plenty of rooms/beds to sleep in. Very clean!!! Would highly recommend and book again! Only negative was the shower water was not getting hot. We called Taylor Made and they helped us reset the breaker and a few hours later it got hot.

Parking drive way was not cleared of snow....no instructions for operation of television set. Ice maker in refrigerator could not make any ice....pictures in brochure were very deceiving

Great stay!

10 of us stayed here comfortably. We all had beds enough to go around and the property was great. The kitchen was fully stocked to the point that we didn't have anything missing. The fire area and hot tub were great as well. My only complaint is that the customer service was very bad. They constantly didn't understand what I was asking and it looked like they didn't read my messages.
