Great Place To Gather With Family And Friends In New Hampton, IA

Linn Ave Guesthouse is a five bedroom, three bathroom home that is spacious and comfortable. Whether your group numbers 2 or 12, you will find this home offers comfort and convenience at a reasonable rate.

Typically, we tell our guests that if they bring their food, clothes and personal grooming needs, they will likely find the rest of what they need (and more!) at this well-stocked location. For example, beds are made and towels are in the bathroom upon your arrival--how convenient is that?

The property is a two-story house, with full kitchens, living rooms, laundry areas, and dining areas on each of the floors. The lower level has three bedrooms (two king beds, one queen) and two bathrooms. The upper level has two queen bedrooms. There are also two pack and plays at the house, should you be traveling with little ones (thus eliminating the need to pack everything).

Three televisions are located in the home, all connected to DIRECTV. Two of the units are SMART TVs.

Wireless internet is provided, so bring your electronic toys and stay in touch during your stay.

The property is located within two blocks of Holy Family Parish/St. Joseph School and Mercy Medical Center. Because of its proximity to these, the house provides convenience when gathering for weddings, anniversary celebrations, when grandma and grandpa come home for a school event, or when you have a loved one in the hospital, and you want to remain close.

Imagine having the bridesmaids stay with you overnight and then being able to walk to the church! Or hosting your family's holiday gathering without having to clean your own home--and without trying to find sleeping room for all of the out of towners. Host was very responsive and communicative. Property was clean and consistent with the listing. Host offered early check-in since the property was open before our stay. Unfortunately, we had an unexpected change of plans the evening of our stay and had to leave before spending the night, so I can't comment on the actual stay experience, but we'll definitely consider this property again in the future.

The house is set up very nicely with three bedrooms on the first floor and two on the second level. There is a second kitchen on the second floor as well. Dual thermostats to keep each level comfortable. There was an outdoor grill, plenty of parking and the property is walking distance from any amenity you could need.

Fabulous Stay

We stayed at this lovely home while in New Hampton for a wedding. My family loved having room to spread out and our grown children had their own rooms. Spacious and clean! Perfect for a large group, family, etc. Will for sure stay again if we are in New Hampton for an event. SO much better than renting multiple hotel rooms!.

Weekend Retreat

Loved our repeat girl’s weekend in this spacious home. Location makes it easy to walk to local shops and eateries. Plenty of space inside for eating, playing cards, watching football together. Lots of laughter and continued memories made. Thank you!

Great visit

This was our second stay at this house and everything was clean, comfortable, and we had everything we needed. We were in town for a family reunion and needed to use the kitchen quite a bit. It was well stocked with a few staples and lots of pots. We will be back!

Excellent stay for whole family!

My spouse and I stayed for a weekend with our 5 kids. They didn’t want to leave! They thought it was a cool house and we agreed. Beautiful for its original woodwork and old house charm. Also beautifully furnished. Very functional for our large family. Clean and well managed property— we will come back!

Family Weekend

This home was a perfect meeting place for our family. This older home was full of vintage and antique furniture. We had plenty of beds and bathrooms for all of us. The beds were comfortable. The living and dining rooms were spacious. There are two full kitchens with a wide variety of cooking, serving, and dinnerware. The hostess was quick to respond to my messages. We found a Fareway grocery store, gas/convenience stations and a very nice public park/playground in this lovely little town.

Large and well equipped

This house was easy to settle into. The kitchens and bathrooms were well stocked. They provided some basic spices, sugar, coffee, laundry soap and fabric softener, as well as shampoo and conditioner, if you forgot yours. I really appreciated not having to go buy mini bottles of things for our four day stay. There's a full bath and a 3/4 bath downstairs and a 3/4 upstairs. The furniture upstairs is pretty dated, but it's clean. Downstairs has a more modern, comfortable living room and there's a lot of space! It was a very comfortable place.

Great Stay!!!

We were in town for a family reunion and had a wonderful stay at the Guest house. Very spacious roomy lay out both up stairs and down. we were able to accommodate my grandpa (90) and parents along with our kids with ease. had games and toys for kids on site. safe for families and elder people. every thing was clean and beds were comfortable. Owner was great to contact and responding. check in and out was very easy. Will/would stay there again in a heart beat.

Celebrate Iowa Getaway

We truly enjoyed staying there. The house was clean and great location with plenty of room. A group of us get together every summer somewhere in Iowa to take in the local history. This is the first time we rented a house and it worked out great. Would definitely rent there again.

Best place to stay in New Hampton

This large rental home was very clean and nicely appointed. I love the 5 bedrooms for larger groups, and we really appreciated that there was plenty of towels, hand soap, dishwasher detergent, etc. We have stayed here twice now and we won't stay anywhere else!
