Nestled in the heart of North Charleston is The Marie. The Marie encompasses 5 generations of authentic low country living. Whether it's a girl's trip, bro's weekend, couples getaway, or family retreat, The Marie is where you want to be.

The Marie offers a mix of traditional, modern, and low country setting that offers comfort and privacy. Enjoy the hustle and bustle of downtown Charleston and escape to The Marie to relax after a busy day of shopping and eating.

The property encompasses space for up to 6 people comfortably and basic home amenities, television streaming (Netflix, Sling, Roku), and peace. Please be advised that local channels are only available via Sling. Central AC and ceiling fans are present. There are also a few baby amenities including high chair, play mat, baby wipe warmer, bottle cleaning rack, and travel crib. We're ready to host you.

We're located in the heart of North Charleston near interstate 26, Rivers Ave, and University Blvd. Close to shopping, recreation, grocery, and restaurants. Tanger Outlets, Amtrak, Airport, and Convention Center are approx 15 mins drive. Downtown historic Charleston is about 20 mins drive. Folly beach is approximately 22 miles away and Wannamaker water park is 8 mins away.


Note: Trash and recycling bins should be placed on the curb for collection no earlier than 8pm Tuesday night for Wednesday morning collection. If guest is staying at the residence thru Wednesday, please collect the bins by 6pm Wednesday and return them back to an open location next to the garage.

Pets are welcome, but be advised that there is a $65 pet fee for up to 2 dogs of medium size. Reservations will more than 2 pets will incur an additional $25 charge. Please take care to clean up after your little ones. Waste bags are provided to keep the yard clean.

By submitting a reservation, and upon subsequent approval by the host of the reservation, guest agrees to absolve host of all injury and property liabilities incurred on the property. Guests will be held responsible for all damage to the property. Email for Hourly/Dayuse Rates.

This was the most recent of several stays at The Marie, and we’re already booked for another. The property remains a great home away from home. Clean, comfortable, spacious, and centrally located. As I recently told the owner, it’s as close to perfect as you can get (for us at least). I’m so glad we found this gem. And the owners are fantastic to work with!

The grill was nice and we enjoyed having our S.C. family over for a cookout. We were going to bring our pup, but changed our plans…the backyard would have been perfect for her. The Marie is wonderful, what a gem this place is! This home lacks for nothing. Our family stayed 5 nights. This home’s location makes getting around very easy. It is clean, comfortable, and located in a quiet neighbourhood. The Marie has a homey relaxing feel about it. We appreciated the comfortable beds at the end of a long day of being out and about. The kitchen is fully equipped if you want to cook a meal, or BBQ in the beautiful backyard. It has everything you’d need for a beach day too. The host was quick to rely to emails, and checking in was a breeze. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it.

If you are going anywhere within an hour of North Charleston, stop looking. This is it. You’ve found your place! This home (and it truly felt like a home— like your grandma said you could come stay with her for a few days and she worked hard to make it extra nice for you) was actually better than the pictures could convey. Neat as a pin with many thoughtful touches throughout like labeled wall switches and beach supplies/ towels, this home was a delight to stay in. Our girls were over the moon to have access to Disney and our dogs enjoyed the spacious backyard. The house was larger than expected so there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The neighborhood was quiet for the most part and felt safe. The large washer & dryer was a blessing after a day at the beach. Note that the garage is not available for guests to park in but we had no issue parking in the driveway. Overall, an excellent stay!

Nice home in good location!

This home in North Charleston worked well and had plenty of space for our group of 7. The location was great, a short drive to the historic sites in Charleston and a nice quiet neighborhood to come back to at the end of the day!
