Located on the edge of Cockle Bay with water lapping at your door.

Fishing, crabbing, peace and quiet! What more could anyone want when enjoying an island getaway. "Blue on Cockle" is perched on a rocky edge of peaceful Cockle Bay.

Water views from every vantage point of this unique beach hut. Also included is a deck with sunset views to die for while cooking the daily catch on the barbie.

Offering three queen beds and a set of bunks, this home comfortably accommodates the whole family. You’ll love the freshly updated kitchen and downstairs bathroom and each bedroom comes equipped with its own TV.

If the tide isn't right enjoy air-conditioned comfort inside and wait for the tide to turn! Turn on one of the many TV's, use the Starlink WiFi, read a book or rest up for a late night of fishing!

Blue on Cockle has all you will need for your getaway, just bring your food, drinks, fishing rods and bait.

Note: Access to the property can be more difficult on a high tide. Our Best of Magnetic team will be able to provide tide information to help plan your arrival time.

Great little beach house!

Great location and we had a great time during our week stay. Photos on website need to be updated as the house is really just a glorified beach shack that needs a fair bit of TLC but as long as that’s what you are after and love walking out the back door to go fishing you will have a blast! :)

The Perfect Fishing Shack

Absolutely perfect location ... views views views ... friendly rock wallabies ... the deck is the perfect location to relax (remember to keep an eye out for criters). It was like stepping back in time to a much more relaxed and less sophisticated Australia. We had full dry access all week except that a 3.05m high tide on the last day caused 3 inches of water at the bottom of the concrete stairs on the boulder and 3 to 4 inches of water across the narrow opening to the lagoon. Both could be stepped across without the need to get your feet wet. With tides below 3.05m we had completely dry access for the rest of the week. Well worth looking at tide charts before booking. Having said that I think it would be great to be there for a 4.1m tide.

Best location!

We couldn't be more happy with Blue on Cockle. The house is in the best position, you have waterviews from everywhere! Don't even have to leave the house to go fishing as you can fish right off the deck! The house was clean & tidy & everything we needed was there. We can't wait to come back again! Plus the staff at Best of Magnetic were awesome! Very friendly & welcoming! 10 out of 10 all round :-)

Seclusion

If your idea of a holiday is seclusion, this is the place. It's not fancy, but had everything we required for a holiday. Thankful for the air-conditioning as very hot during summer afternoons. Not recommended for anyone with special accessibility needs. If you checkout during high tide, we recommend you utilise the sea kayak to transport your gear. It'll save a lot of trips back and forward to the car.
