Beautiful 5 bedroom villa in quiet farmland

Casa Rosa is a beautiful villa situated in peaceful farmland near to all the local amenities. The large pool and surrounding patio make it a lovely place to unwind at any time of the year.


The accommodation consists of 4 double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, one with en-suite and all with access to the patio or their own balcony. (in addition a travel cot is available) There are 2 additional bathrooms, 2 lounges one with TV and SONOS sound system, Playstation 2 and Nintendo 64 Game System and DVD, kitchen with a dishwasher and a dining area with 2 high chairs, a laundry room with washing machine and a double carport. The villa is surrounded by patios with BBQ, outside dining area with seating for 12, a private 10m x 4m swimming pool, with sun loungers, trees, flowers and plenty of space to relax out of doors. The pool is accessed through a set of gates that can be kept shut to prevent unsupervised access by small children. The villa is 45 minutes from Faro (the nearest airport) and 20km from the Spanish border. The nearest towns of Conceicao and Cabanas are 5 minutes away with a variety of local shops and restaurants.

A choice of excellent beaches can be reached in about 10 minutes, lining the seaward side of a 35 mile-long sand bar which is an internationally protected resting place for birds travelling between Northern Europe and Africa. The sandy beach is huge, backed by tufted dunes and is reached by cheap shuttle ferries, by pontoons or by car.

There is a horse riding centre within easy walking distance which is excellent value for the novice or experienced rider.

We have left details at the villa of a fantastic day out on a luxury sailing yacht; experience the power of sailing and see the beautiful coat line from the sea. You will be picked up at the villa and returned at the end of the day.

Fantastic Stay

The villa is very spacious and well maintained. We had a wonderful time in the pool and having a barbecue is definitely a must for a large group of friends! The villa is in a secluded location but close enough to the city center and local beaches (10 minute ride), which was great since it gave us a lot of privacy and also options to go out for dinner if we wanted to. I would definitely recommend this villa if you plan on having a nice relaxing holiday!

Great stay - super comfortable

Our group of 10 family members had a great time at Casa Rosa. The house was clean and facilities, including air conditioning in the bedrooms, made for a very comfortable stay. There were nice extras such as pool and beach toys which my daughter loved. Communication with David in the lead up was helpful and timely and entry to the property made easy. The location is quiet and peaceful, but just a short drive away from a number of towns and beaches. We would go back.

Warn mid April, Clean tranquil villa, safe for kid

Booked a week here during mid-late April (19th), weather was warm during the day, about an ave of 23 deg C and defo shorts and T-shirt weather with little wind. But a fleece and shorts are useful in the evening between 6pm to very late. Wow, what a great tranquil rural place to chill with so much space yet only a 10 Euro minibus ride to lovely restaurants, Cafés and bars in little cobbled streets within the local towns of Tavira and Cabanas. Only 20 minutes to Spain or a 5 minute ferry ride to the white washed village of Ayamonte from Villa Real, 5 min from the Golf Course at Benamore. This part of Portugal is defo an inexpensive and upmarket area compared to the Western Algarve and two countries for the price of one. Having been to many beaches around the world, which include Hawaii, Hainan, Langkawi and many on the West coast of Oz…. the beach at Manta Rota near Casa Rosa takes some beating whilst only 5-10 mins drive down the road. Fortunately, it’s not as crowded as the beaches on the West Coast of Algarve. If you like self-catering and access to a Barbecue, Pizza (bread) oven and a tranquil outlook then Casa Rosa is an easy trip down to the local market where fresh Fish, Chicken and Meat market whilst ensuring 20 Euros will quite easily feed a group of 10 ! The Lemons from the Tree at Casa Rosa are a useful addition to any Barbecue, we hope the owner didn’t mind ! If you like self-catering and access to a Barbecue, Pizza (bread) oven and a tranquil outlook then Casa Rosa is an easy trip down to the local morning market where fresh Fish, Chicken and Steaks ensure a group of 10 big blokes can be fed for less than 5 Euros each quite easily ! Don't miss the eat until you drop Fish Barbecue lunch at Tres Palmeiras for 10 Euros a head, can't miss the locals queuing up but play smart and arrive just after 2pm to avoid the wait.

Très bon séjour passé à la Casa Rosa. Coin tranquille, grande et belle maison avec son charme à l'ancienne, climatisée (un grand car il a fait chaud !) et bel espace extérieur avec sa piscine. Pas de vis-à-vis, ce qui était très bien. Tavira est une jolie petite ville charmante, sans trop de monde à cette époque, c'est un coin de l'Algarve qui est plaisant et où on circule plutôt bien, loin des embouteillages extrêmes de l'été !

Die ruhige Lage und das sehr geräumige Haus mit Pool war optimal für unsere 3 Familien mit Kindern. Es waren sogar Poolsachen da zum mitbenutzen was natürlich die Kids richtig gefreut hat.Der große Grillplatz auf der Terrasse lud sehr zum Grillen ein.Wir können es allen Empfehlen ddie mit einer größeren Gruppe entspannt Urlaub machen wollen.

Great holiday in a lovely traditional villa

We stayed at this place with a group of 6 adults and one 11 year old child. The villa was very large and had lots of lovely outdoor space. We had the best time and would consider returning in the future if we were visiting the same area! The decor is quite traditional and dated but this gives it a lovely rustic feel. There is lots of great outdoor seating with dining tables and plenty of comfortable loungers around the very large, deep pool. We spent our whole holiday relaxing in the villa and it was just fabulous. The kitchen is well equipped and there are plenty of utensils for cooking large group meals. We enjoyed the pizza oven and the bbq also. The villa was very clean on our arrival and the check in and check out process was very easy. David was kind and was flexible with our check out time which enabled us to have a lovely relaxing day before flying home. The villa is situated about a 10 minute walk from the nearest quiet little town and a 12 minute drive from the beautiful town of tavira. We drove to the lovely beach of manta rota (12 minutes) for some days and I would definitely recommend it. Overall, a really lovely villa in a relaxing, rural area where you can have a great family holiday. The outdoor space is really fabulous and the size of the villa is great for a large group.

A casa é exatamente como está descrita, tem boas áreas, boas condições e um óptimo ar condicionado em todas as divisões. O pátio exterior é muito bom e a piscina ainda melhor. O anfitrião esteve sempre disponível e permitiu-nos um check in mais cedo por causa das crianças. Estivemos 6 adultos e 4 crianças e foi uma semana excelente.

Perfect villa for a relaxing holiday.

Casa Rosa is in a perfect and peaceful location in the countryside yet near to the seaside resorts of Tavira and Cabanas. Very good motorway access if you want to tour Spain and Portugal. The villa is spacious and has good air con which we found useful on the hotter days. The private pool is large enough for swimming and deep enough for diving into. Our kids and grandson spent hours in it. Big BBQ and a pizza oven. Tavira mercado municipal is a must visit for awesome fish and meat. Big supermarket and indoor shopping centre close by. We will come again for certain!

Ambiente espetacular, casa muito espaçosa tanto interior quanto exterior, limpeza péssima, inclusive na minha opinião estão deixando a casa se deteriorar, o que é uma pena... Não havia nada de produtos de limpeza nem para um primeiro uso, sugiro assim que se leve tudo, desde pastilhas para máquina de louça a detergentes, esponja, lá não tem realmente nada disso, secador de cabelos também não há, a máquina de café tivemos problemas pois ninguém sabia qual a pastilha pra ela, e ainda tive de ouvir que nem era pra ter máquina pois no anúncio não garantia a mesma, portanto, o que não fala no anúncio, sugiro que se leve tudo, de resto, roupa de cama e de banho excelentes

Thank you for your review. I have passed your comments about the cleanliness on to the local management company and I hope that will be addressed. The coffee machine is a mystery as we don’t have one apart from the percolator to use on the stove. I think a guest has bought one, so I am afraid I don’t know which type of coffee it would use either! I hope you will visit again in the future.

Great place for groups

We (5 Couples) had a great time at Casa Rosa, didn't miss anything, everything was perfectly prepared, the house was very well equipped and clean. We also loved the fantastic juicy lemons from the big tree!

Somos un grupo de 10 amigos que estuvimos alojados en Casa Rosa a finales de Junio 2010, la casa es preciosa, con una piscina enorme y tumbonas para todos, las habitaciones estan muy bien y tiene varios cuartos de baño, lo cual es muy importante cuando somos tantos. La cocina está bien equipada. Lo único malo fue que no habia señal de tv y no pudimos ver el partido de España, por lo menos pudimos escucharlo por la radio...lo que más me gustó es el entorno, en medio del campo...y cerca de la playa...y los exteriores de la casa ideales para cenas de verano.
