Please bring own bedding, pillows, blankets linens, bath towels, toiletries, kitchen has all dish ware, coffee maker, toaster. microwave and WiFi and basic cable. Pleasant area no heavy traffic for nice walks with children or strollers etc.
brand new air conditioner / heat - their are no cots please bring air mattresses if needed for sleeping more than 4 people - max 6 guests- NO Pets sorry.

open floor plan - one level - their are 2 steps in breezeway that lead up into kitchen entry / or you can walk around the house to more stairs.
no - washer/dryer onsite - in town is laundry mat / gas grill is provided with scenic waterfront views of Port Bay. Sunsets are pretty if you drive up to lake their is a paved parking lot. 2/ boat launches in the area and only 5 minute ride to open boat channel onto to beautiful
Lake Ontario - fish from dock.
Please contact owner by email provided with any questions regarding *additional guests for day picnics please note * the max is 6 additional guests they are permitted to stay-no later than 9 pm.
Note: We the owners keep our boat in The boat hoist on property ( all other guests may use the dock on the opposite side of the hoist ). We also may pass through the side yard from time to time to get to our boat Thank you.

**bring your : fishing gear, please do not leave line or hooks anywhere-on property do to the wildlife and people’s feet or children barefoot !

We had a nice stay at this lakeside home. The views of the bay are nice, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The home was clean and nicely furnished, except for the beds. Please, for the sake of future visitors, get some better mattresses.

I didn't want to leave!

My husband and I had the most perfect stay at this cottage! Between the fires at night, quiet setting and gorgeous view we had a blast. We stayed for 5 nights and didn't want to leave! The house was perfect for us and there was plenty to explore around the area when we wanted to adventure. Our host answered all my questions, was the sweetest and made our stay even better. Loved this area and cannot wait to come back! :)

Port Bay

Cottage was clean. Nice location. Boat dock avaliable. Had an issue with the refrigerato upon arrival and called owner who responded promptly. Would suggest that the kitchen, inside all the cupboards need be straightened out. Alot of odds and ends everywhere. The pots and pans need updating...I ended up bringing my own. The queen bed mattress is very uncomfortable, I would replace for my guests. The living room furniture nice and inviting and wonderful viewing of the bay.

Peaceful

Iam disabled and need assistance walking,the cottage was open concept and easy for me to get around inside. The living space gave a relaxed vibe . Beautiful views. I brought a queen mattress cover that made the queen bed comfortable for myself. If i had to say anything that was an issue it would be the steps to the back yard. I was not able to get down to the water or back yard. I think if anything I would add to your information would be to let people know about the deck stairs. I left with memories I and my family will cherish forever. Thank you for sharing your home with others. I grew up on a lake and will be forever grateful for my adult children and grandchildren to have this experience being together with family.

Enjoyed our stay.

Pros: Very clean, quaint, nicely decorated, not cluttered. Pretty view of the water through wall of windows and sliding glass door. Quiet. Close, by car, to DEC boat launch and kayak launch. Cold a/c. Hosts were very nice. Cons: No way to launch kayak from property. There was a musty/mildew smell to the cottage, possibly from the ac unit. Parking for one car, no ideal turn around. If we had a boat trailer, it would have been challenging. When sitting in the deck, the railing blocks the view, would be better with a bar height table and chairs and an umbrella for shade. Limited, basic cable, no movie channels. Mattress was very uncomfortable in the primary bedroom.

Thank you for your reply Denise we are always attentive to feedback so we can adjust any concerns with our rental. We are sorry you felt certain things did not meet your expectations however with good reason, so you better understand our railings and height on the back deck had to meet a building code for the structure which was already in place when we purchased home. The views are very wide open to water for one’s enjoyment. Unfortunately we have tried umbrellas for shade , a high top table is not practical due to winds and children climbing on a high deck this just is not a good set up or work out well when storms occur therefore we provide a normal table and four chairs to enjoy lounging or eating out on work out well when storms occur. As far as the bed mattress goes we actually have switched and replaced numerous times every guest has a different feel for comfort. We try our best to make sure always that our guest have nothing but the best stay. Last on the entry for kayaks their is an open right of way to enter and launch kayaks etc along with dock space on premise. We hope our reply was a better understanding of your experience. Pros: Right on the inlet with a great view, fishing was good, living room was cozy, wi-fi worked well. Cons: Queen bed was not comfortable, stove was old, kitchen cabinets need organizing and cleaning. Overall great stay at a good price!

Calm peaceful getaway

This was a nice cozy home with such great views of the bay! My children and I we able to really enjoy ourselves being so close to the water and having dock to fish off which we caught several different kinds of fish! It also was close enough to town as well as other attractions/activities that kept us busy and entertained. Will definitely be going back again.

Loved just about everything about this cottage. Owners were very responsive and the location is perfect. Only issue was the expensive cleaning fee for such a small place that we left immaculate with no refund.

We had a very pleasant week at the cottage! It is clean, well equipped, nicely decorated and very comfortable! The view is lovely and the dock fishing is great! The hosts were very prompt responding to our questions before arrival and very friendly when we spoke.

Peaceful vacation

This cottage was just perfect! Our lil family of four really enjoyed the scenery, fishing and the closeness of the beach. The cottage was very clean and well payed out. We fished during the day, went for walks and had a fire and s’mores in the evening. All around just the perfect place, thank you for sharing. We will be back again!!!

Gorgeous view very quiet and relaxing

The house was great, very clean. The deck was beautiful especially in the morning watching the Swans and Herons. Fished off the dock and there are many honey holes. In 3 days we caught over 100 fish. Sunnies crabbies bass and perch. Saw several turtles. Overall a great place and we will be back next year for sure. Thanks for having us.

Great stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this clean and well appointed cottage. We had an air mattress with us so our 5th person was quite comfortable. There is plenty of space for a queen size. We had a great time in our hometown visiting family and the cottage was perfectly located. We loved being directly on the bay and relaxing in the evening on the wonderful back deck. We would definitely stay again and recommend this cottage highly.

Lovely stay at cozy cottage

Immaculate cottage with lovely furnishings and decor. Comfortable bedding and ample seating. Greatly enjoyed the deck and the view of the bay. Also played lawn games and had many campfires and all with spectacular views. Very relaxing. We enjoyed our stay. Suggest either supplying every day drinking glasses for the guests or recommending they bring their own.
