Built elevated up on a bluff overlooking the beach, and the Long Island Sound, East End Retreat combines the finest in casual style with a light and airy East End flair.

Stunning water views can be seen from the all common areas of the home.

The home is furnished with impeccable taste and style, in a mixture of contemporary and antique pieces, ornamentals and artwork reflecting the essence of beachfront living.

A private terrace, overlooking the water, provides immaculate views of the sea, along with a wonderful place to entertain, relax or barbecue.

Direct Beach Access, Award Winning Restaurants, wineries and farm stands all within a short drive.

Some notable features of this home are: - Large outdoor deck with outdoor dining table, BBQ Grill, Indoor/Outdoor Speaker System, Outdoor Shower, Beach Supplies (Cooler, Chairs, Umbrella etc) Free Parking (2 cars), HDTV in living room with DVD and Media Server. Wireless Internet, Washer/Dryer, Air Conditioning, Linens and Towels Provided - Optional bedrooms can provide up to 8 person occupancy (for an additional fee)

The home has 4 bedrooms and can sleep up to 8 people. The primary bedroom has a Queen sized bed. Then 1 of the bedrooms has full/double sized bed that can accommodate 2 more guest. The 3rd bedroom has 2 single beds that can be pushed together for couples or separated for friends/children (When the trundles are pushed together there is a seam down the middle) Then the last bedroom is a "loft" that overlooks the living area. It does not have a door and there is less privacy than in the other 3 bedrooms. There is a Full/Double sized futon in the loft. All Bedrooms have Air Conditioning except the loft. (fans are provided in the loft and air from the living room does circulate up there if you leave the living room AC on)

As mentioned above the home has 4 bedrooms however if you rent the House at the base price, only one bedroom will be unlocked and the rest will be locked off and you will not get access to these rooms. If you want access to the additional bedrooms there is an additional fee.

Cozy oasis

Great view. Easy check in. Super communicative owner. Tightly nestled homes. You cant see them from the deck but you can hear them. Quiet at night and respectful neighbors.

Awesome North Fork Property

The house was clean and inviting, updated and comfortable inside. Plenty of room for our family of 5, could have accommodated more people. Very easy to access. Outside was amazing, large deck with plenty of seating and cooking area and of course the amazing views of the Long Island Sound. We would stay again!

Beautiful house with amazing waterfront views. The woodsy surroundings and bird song were lovely. The community is very welcoming - someone we met on the beach shared a paddle board with us for our entire stay! The house was well appointed and very comfortable. Made memories here!

Overpriced and overbearing

This property was marketed very well, focusing mainly on the well appointed deck and view - the photos leave out the surrounding portions of the house and important details. The outdoor shower was located in an area we wouldn’t comfortably go, there were no noodles, floats for the water but there were many beach chairs and an umbrella. The house rules are very detailed and extensive. The long, repetitive list leaves you less than relaxed when at the house. The deck is beautiful and has a gorgeous view of the sound. The bedrooms and bath are very dated and not as clean as we hoped. The homes in the neighborhood are on top of each other so you can hear everything - including a lot of dogs barking loud and often. In the morning it sounded like a kennel. Overall, it was fine but not very comfortable. A lower price per night would be more appropriate.

Lovely Beach House

I had a wonderful stay this cozy beautiful beach house with beautiful views of LI Sound. You can even hear the waves soothily crashing on the beach from the upper deck. Everything you could ever want is provided by Alan, who was an amazing host. He was communicative, and super helpful. And his Welcome Packet was chuck full of information about the house and surrounding farms, restaurants, wineries and more. A must stay!

A gem!

This is a wonderful small house with an excellent host. The views are spectacular. We could spend hours in the living area and on the deck taking in the views and relaxing. Clean is very important to my wife and the house passed with flying colors. The kitchen was well equipped. Even though other houses are close, the way it is situated we found it quiet and secluded. We didn’t have cell service but the wifi was excellent. Overall a good value!

Loved our Stay!

I had a girls weekend here to enjoy the vineyards. We enjoys sitting on the deck, walking down to the beach. It isn’t a private entrance to the beach, but a small walk down a lot of steps. The cottage was really cute and fully stocked with anything you need, plates, cups, wine openers, etc. coffee maker. It was very clean, great AC.

Great getaway next to beach

Really clean with nice amenities for cooking, new appliances and refrigerator, and great grilling set up. Large porch provided great gathering spot, w lounging and eating options. While houses are very close together in this working class hamlet (not the Ivy League bastion of the Hamptons for sure!), it felt private while communal. Beach had a few parties and volleyball games going on off to right side, but quiet and more family friendly to left. So a little bit for everyone. Great farmers markets nearby (my wife recommends Briermere Farms, don’t miss the pies too!), and vineyards if that is your angle. It’s a small house, but worked v well for our family of six. Alan was a super star as host/owner, and welcome packets galore. He made it easy.

Perfect Vacation

My wife and I had a fabulous time at the East End Retreat. The location couldn't have be any better. Very close to a private beach in a neighborhood that was extremely quiet. Two of our adult children joined us for half the time and we had one of the best vacations we ever had. The house was perfect!! It was well equipped with everything we needed. Alan also provided plenty of information about local restaurants, wineries, breweries, etc. for us to explore in which we did. I would highly recommend renting this property for anyone who is looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway. Thank you Alan!!!!

Ideal retreat for a realxing break

We had a delightful stay at East End Retreat. We were over from the UK to visit family in the city and decided to spend several days in the Hamptons relaxing. East End Retreat's setting is spectacular, with a large deck giving views across the sound to Connecticut. The amenities are great, rooms clean and comfortable and all with aircon, a definite requirement for our stay. This is not a 'party' house by any means, the community is secluded and quiet, ideal for getting away from it all and relaxing. Riverhead is not far away, and there are several farm stands and a couple of supermarkets nearby, and a superb butcher. in Wading River. It's just a short trip to the beach down two flights of steps, perfect for an evening stroll to the beach to watch the fireflies. Our stay was not without incident - a tree took out the power line to the community, and the broadband with it. Both were restored within hours however, and Alan was superb in assisting us and keeping us updated on the situation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend East End Retreat.

Beach house close to NYC

The house was very nice - smaller than it appears in the listing, would be great for parents with children. The neighboring houses are very, very close. Access to the beach was great.

Beautiful spot!

It was wonderful to be tucked back away from all of the busy-ness and traffic; the neighborhood was quiet but not stuffy at all. Close to all of the wineries, delicious restaurants and farmstands. The house is small, but somehow it never felt crowded, just cozy. Loved the sunsets from the deck! Thanks Alan, we had a fantastic time.

Excellent location and excellent views!

We had a wonderful time staying at East End Retreat. We had 5 adults and a toddler staying at the house. We spent the majority of our time on the beautiful deck and took full advantage of the outdoor kitchen. The house is well stocked with anything you could possibly need for cooking and lounging on the beach. The outdoor shower was a huge hit with our family. We would definitely come back again!

Perfect destination!

My girlfriends and I all stayed at the East End Retreat in Baiting Hollow recently. We were a group of 8 meeting for a friend reunion and luckily we found this perfect house. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a spot in the area. Alan, the owner, was so responsive throughout our entire booking process. He made everything so easy. Alan provided a complete packet of information including local beaches, restaurants, wineries, farm stands, fun day trip activities, and more. He also answered any questions I had about the house and was so pleasant to correspond with. I would trust him entirely with any rental home and booking proccess! Now to the home….the home is incredible. It is the perfect beach house destination. The house is nice and clean. It also has everything you need for cooking (fully equipped kitchen--don't need to bring anything except your food!) The beds all had sheets, comforters, and towels for each person too. The house really has everything from beach supplies, grilling supplies, cooking supplies, and linens. All of us were so impressed with the home. The view from the deck is just gorgeous, and there is easy access to the local beach. We went to two vineyards just down the road, and out to dinner in Riverhead. Everything about our stay was so easy…which made the time more relaxing for us. We had such a wonderful stay here. I would recommend it for a group of friends, a family, or a couple get away. Really, anyone!

Beautiful Northfork retreat

My girlfriends and I took a long weekend trip to Northfork to visit some of the local wineries and enjoy the beach. This house was in a perfect location - quiet, private community near the vineyards and farm stands, and nearly right on the water. The homeowner Alan was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend this house to others!

Beautiful Home Right By The Water

I rented the house for a small bachelorette party. Nothing wild and crazy which works with this house because it's in a small community and the houses are very close together. The owner was very informative and the minute we thought we had a problem with the fridge (it was fine... we just filled it with way too much food at first I'm guessing) he was quick to respond and help.. Even offered to refund for ice if we needed until it was fixed! Perfect deck to stargaze and a nice beach a minute off the back steps. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was clearly renovated and clean. We highly recommend this home for couples, families or a girls getaway!

An ideal beach retreat

This house is beautifully located, appealing, tastefully decorated, well equipped, nicely maintained and very comfortable. My family enjoyed a long awaited reunion there, swimming 3 times each day and taking advantage of the nearby great food and wine. The view of the shoreline cliff from the out in water is beyond beautiful. The owner/management was responsive and accommodating, not letting any questions linger unanswered for very long. In short, everything was as advertised. We would definitely return.

Well stocked, great location

There was an abundance of information provided for the rental and the property and prospective renters should not be put off by the amount of documentation to read or rules to follow. The cottage is very well maintained and stocked with just about everything you could need. The deck is wonderful with great views and access to the beach a huge bonus. We had a party of 7 adults and a toddler and while the cottage itself is small, we never felt cramped at all. I would certainly recommend this place for a small group looking for a really chilled out weekend or week.

Everything you'd want from a beach house

I stayed at this house with 7 of my best friends for a summer weekend away from the city. The property and view are gorgeous. The inside of the house is amazingly decorated and really gives that beach house vibe. Their are a ton of air conditioners and it was always very easy to maintain a comfortable temperature throughout the house - even in the upstairs loft area. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the mornings and evenings and the quick walk down to the beach during the day. Even with the 8 of us, we never felt cramped or too on top of each other. The outdoor shower was a big help during the getting ready to go out rushes. Alan was very easy to get in touch with and super responsive when we had any questions. His very thorough directions were very helpful! We drove out to the house but didn't want to drive to the wineries/restaurants once we got there and never had a problem getting an Uber or a local car service to pick us up/drop us off. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone!
