Nice big room comfortable king bed .Excellent view.Love having two Needs more attention to general cleanliness. Overall we will stay in this place again.Thank you
The view out of the living room window was excellent. This space was well-appointed with three couches, lots of end tables, a flat-panel television on an articulating wall-mount, and lots of throw pillows. The bathrooms, though small, had nice fixtures and showers. The kitchen had lots of dishes and cookware (although, no hot pads). The pool was the perfect temperature and we ended swimming each morning! We ended up moving to the murphy bed on the first night, as the walls are thin and we could hear the neighbors and people passing 308 to their own condos. The murphy bed was a little hard and would have benefited from a pillow top mattress.
Enjoyed the view as the storms rolled in. You might have the cleaning service hit under/between the couches and tighten the doorknob on the bathroom.
We had a great time. Location is great. Hot tub is same temp as the pool. Pool was good. We’ll stay again.
This was a great place right in the beach. We had to sleep with the window open just to listen to the waves. Place was very well stocked in the kitchen with utensils and cookware. Plenty of towels for everyone including pool towels. We thought it had a hot tub but it doesn't. Oh well the sauna was very nice. Can't beat the location right on the beach in central town. Would like to stay here again!
We had a wonderful time. This condo provided us with everything we needed. Great location, easy access to the beach and a fantastic view of the ocean.

The Codfather: A Sea Gypsy BnB
Overall our stay at the Sea Gypsy's, The Codfather was a good one. The customer service and ability to get a hold of someone with questions was top notch. The room was spacious, the kitchen was more than well stocked with dishes/utensils, and it was clean. Aside from the main bedroom, additional sleeping arrangements was well thought out.
Although we have a small list of things we noticed needing addressing, we also do not want to nit pick. One item of note standing out were the windows and how they were not properly sealed. Given the stormy conditions during our stay, you could clearly feel air coming through them. This ties into the fact, we had to jack the heat to 80 just to keep it at a comfortable level where we didn't feel a chill in the main living area. Another item is the "fireplace" underneath where the TV is mounted, did not produce any heat when turned on, it just continued to blow cold air. We have something similar in our home and tried the various modes but nothing worked. Not sure if this is a known issue.
At the reduced rate, it was well-worth the stay and we would consider visiting again in the Summer.
We've stayed at the Sea Gypsy several times. We love the location and that it's right on the beach. The Codfather was as described and we appreciated that it was a bit bigger than the other units. The Murphy bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.

Great view... worn-out room.
Excellent, excellent location and the view from the third floor is outstanding!! Believe me when I say we are not "neat freaks," however, we were disappointed regarding room cleanliness and overall upkeep of Room 308: The Codfather. We checked-in around 5:30 PM for our 5 night stay. Immediately we noticed that the carpets had not been vacuumed - even a 7-Up plastic cap was sitting in the middle of the floor. Bathroom vanity lights were super dusty and one bulb even burned out. Another burned out bulb in kitchen light, entranceway, and in ceiling of the master bathroom. It also looked like the mantle above the fireplace as well as dining room chairs hadn't been dusted in some time. In the online photo of the room, there was a table by the front window for a place to put your morning coffee or even room for snacks or a meal. We were very disappointed that table was missing (side note: we were later told by one of the housekeepers that the table was broken by one of the guests and not replaced - to her benefit she did find an extra table and brought it up for us - not quite the same height or size as indicated in the photo, but at least a table). We went down to the front desk to voice our concerns about the carpets, burned-out bulbs, and dust. Wasn't the room supposed to be cleaned before we checked-in?? We really appreciated that they jumped on it immediately and, within 10 minutes, two housekeepers came to our room and vacuumed, dusted, and replaced most of the burned-out bulbs. The housekeepers were quite apologetic and did an excellent job of taking care of everything. Thank you!
Overall, the Codfather (Room 308) just seemed worn-out. The large dining room table, accompanying chairs, and living room end tables definitely need to be refinished. Master bathroom needs to be re-caulked in shower (super black - yuck). Again, I can't describe it any differently except the room just had a worn-out feel to it. For the price we paid at the Sea Gypsy for Room 308, it just didn't seem up to standards. The location is so unbelievable, but we will be looking at other lodging options for our next visit to Lincoln City.

Loved it!
Everything was great. Just problems with the bathroom with the glass sliding doors. Drain needs draining same for the sink. Biggest problem, was the edging on the bottom of shower was black. Tried to clean it off, would not budge. Needs either a good scrubbing or new edging, Also whoever cleans, needs to vacuum under couches. When you fold bed out there was dropped food. Other then that, it was great. We had a good time. See you next year. 🙂🙂
Loved the place, the view and the beach access. We stayed in the Codfather and the 5 of us each had our own bed. However, we were all 65+ and the stairs were rough on us. It limited the pool and beach for us because a couple struggled getting up and down.
We loved staying at the Codfather. The location and view with beach access was perfect! We can’t wait to come back.

Krakau's stay at Sea Gypsy
We loved the condos 308 and 309 for our family vacation. The condos were spacious, clean, beautiful view, and the pool was a real hit. the only thing that was a negative was the steps instead of an elevator. My husband doesn't do well with steps. But all in all - it is a very great place to stay. Also when i made my many calls, all of the employees were more than helpful. Thanks so much!!!!! Herb and Jonelle Krakau from Boise Idaho

Spacious lodging
We enjoyed our stay here in the codfather room.the sleeping options helped with three kid's everyone had their own spot! Added bonus was the convenience of a washer and dryer in the room, definitely a plus. Kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and even a crock pot so we enjoyed cooking. Overall enjoyed the location of the room as well for heading down to the beach and the pool. We have stayed in a few rooms but this is definitely our favorite 💯
Very clean and the beds were all very comfortable, even the pullouts (to our delight). Loved the view and the area. There were four of us women going to the beach before the wedding and it was great.
We enjoyed staying here and would love to visit again.

Great location, lots of bed space
Pros:*awesome location right on the beach
*washer/dryer in unit was a must have for us with little kids
*lots of bed options with Murphy bed, king bed in bedroom and pullout couches
*amazing views
*located within driving distance of several options for food, shops, etc
* walking distance to a decent restaurant
*right near D River which gives an option to get in water that is slightly warmer than the ocean- kids were actually able to play in the river
Cons: *windows didn't open very far, only one window location in main living area so no cross breeze, got kind of stuffy in there
*the separate outside door to the master bedroom didn't really latch well, seems like the door frame wasn't very sturdy, anyone could easily burst through the door
*the building was lacking in regards to private outdoor space, several other buildings near by had private balconies. I knew that going in, so not a huge deal, but would have been nice to have a spot for sandy shoes, etc.
*pool is NOT HEATED, or maybe slightly heated. Kids didn't mine too much, but it wasn't a whole lot warmer than the ocean.
