Stay right in the heart of downtown Savannah at Habersham 1, a recently updated two-story spacious apartment in the historic Paul Hamilton Williams House, built in 1791. This home offers classic charm in an urban setting.

This property has all new furnishings and amenities - professionally decorated by Tybee Vacation Rentals with premium guest comfort in mind. Features include: new firm mattresses, beautiful and stylish furniture and accessories, new paint, refinished heart pine floors, high ceilings - these things and more await guests at this property...you may not want to leave! Amenities include HDTVs in all rooms, wireless internet, internet streaming BluRay player, and a 55 inch TV in the living room.

This unit features two bedrooms and 1.5 baths. On the upper floor, there is a spacious living room with plenty of comfortable seating and a 55 inch Smart HDTV over the beautiful fireplace mantle, the dining room with a table that seats 6, a fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, and a Keurig coffee maker, there is a half bath just off the dining room.

The lower floor is situated ground level and has direct access to parking. This level is the sleeping floor and features a bedroom with a king-size bed and HDTV; the second bedroom has a Queen bed. The bathroom, located just off the hall, has been completely renovated with all new fixtures, new tile, and subway tiled walk-in shower. The ground level features original brick walls and is cool and shady in the summer, cozy in the winter!

Guests have the use of a furnished sitting area on the second level back porch. The main entrance is located on the second floor, and there is a second entrance on the ground level. Guest off-street parking for 1 vehicle available behind the building.

Note: Fireplaces are sealed and non-working, but they add to the ambiance!

About the Paul Hamilton Williams House: The Paul Hamilton Williams House, built in 1791, is conveniently located just off the corner of Habersham and Bay Street. It is just a short walk from Historic River Street, Emmet Park, Warren Square, Factor's Walk, and many other interest points in the historic district. Located right beside the popular bistro B. Matthews Eatery at the corner of Bay Street and Habersham on the Eastern end of the historic district. B. Matthew's serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch. Great location

We had a great time at this spot. The apartment was in a good location. Parking was a pain, as it’s a double parking situation and others had multiple cars. Things could have gone smoother there, but otherwise it’s definitely a good area to stay if you want to explore savannah!

Nice place-Great location

This was a nice place, decently priced and good location. It is an older house so you hear everything. I swear the people upstairs were in a constant state of moving furniture from on side of the room to another. But the place was very clean and comfortable.

Great Location & Clean but Outside Noise Easily Heard

This location is great as it is right across the street from the river. Property was clean and as described & looks like online pictures. If you're sensitive to noise, especially sensitive sleepers, be aware that you can easily hear the road noise as well as people talking as they walk by outside. Likely because the building is so old, the noise outside is very apparent. We just used a white noise app on phone in combination with a floor fan blowing to sleep and it was fine.

The Unit Was Okay, but keep reading...

The Good: - Great location 1/2 block from Bay Street and very close to River Street and the Savannah River - 2 story unit (1 of 3 in the building) and main level had nice & spacious living,dining rooms & small kitchen was nice - Ground level master bedroom with king bed was spacious. Other bedroom was not - Off street parking from the lane behind the house, which was convenient since there really isn't any parking due to the hoard of tourists The Bad: - Combination locks on each door were awful. They need replacing with quality ones & the locking mechanism needs to be properly aligned to the door jam so it works - The full bath was small and inconvenient. It had a large shower, but no place to set anything except the sink rim, which was not connected to the wall so it moved around a lot - Dbl bed in skinny bedroom is really for children, and the mattress was either worn our or a bargain deal - There was something going on in the bathroom as when the other people in the house flushed, we got an interesting odor; not good - I really hated that the downstairs, street level where the beds/bath were located - the floor was filthy. It was gritty, sandy and had small chunks of grit or something everywhere. It felt it was never vacuumed We paid an outrageous and separate cleaning fee which must be pure profit - Rental agency should warn TV had parental controls turned off - And stop all the emails from maybe 4 sources-all worthless junk except for entry help. I mean really?

Good place if you are younger. We are in our mid 80’s our Son in his mid 60’s was very helpful.

The parking area was a problem. We were pinned in a fee times.

We had a wonderful stay! The property was very clean, right by everything we went to Savannah to see. The bedrooms were comfortable. We were surprised that one of the places to sleep was an air mattress but it worked. The prop.manager was very responsive, We had an amazing stay. Will rent again

Beautiful and Uncomfortable!

The property is decorated with elegant and modern accessories and linens. The exposed brick and beams are a great representation of old Savannah! But that's where the fun stops at this place. The bathrooms are TINY. The upstairs half bath with require a tiny human to occupy it or for a regularly sized one to sit sideways on this fancy toilet. The downstairs "main" bathroom is a single sink vanity, shower, and toilet. It's also very small but at least you can ride the toilet facing the right direction. The bedrooms are located downstairs at street level and when you combine that with paper thin walls and old windows you are in for a real treat! I could make out every single word of those who passed by during their evening stroll/ stumble through town. This home contains several units and you will hear every footstep that everyone else takes. Have fun! The first night I actually got up from the bed on multiple occasions thinking someone had entered my unit on mistake (or worse). Between the street folk and those running steps and rearranging furniture in the other units, it was a sleepless night for all. Half of our party actually checked in at the local Hampton the next night and they said it was lovely. Wish I would have followed suit. My final complaint is the terrible bedding. The mattresses are horrifically uncomfortable and these are the cheapest pillows I have seen. I think hospitals probably provide more luxury. Once you add in all of the fees, this is not an inexpensive option for Savannah. I expect much better for the price and would never consider returning to this rental. But I hear the Hampton on the same block was cheaper and more comfortable!

Great location for vacationing in Savannah. Unit is decorated beautifully. The details of the home are perfect. It's fully stocked kitchen is perfect. Only a block from River Street and free trolley system to explore the entire historic district. PArking included was also very helpful.

Property Was Nice, But.......

We recently stayed at this location for a couple of nights while visiting Savannah. The property itself was nice, but do not be mislead thinking the per night room rates are a bargain. After fees and taxes, we almost paid double for the stay. Booking fees seemed to be a double dip as we paid the VRBO booking fee plus the rental company booking fee. And WE did all the work online! We were bombarded with excessive text messages wanting to know basically, "Are you checked out yet? Are you checked out yet?" Also, we were a little taken aback getting a phone call from the rental company while we were out and about enjoying ourselves asking could we check the dryer door because they had received a complaint previously.about it not operating properly. Felt like I was at work. We visit Savannah often, but probably will avoid properties owned by this company.

Historic charm and location!!!

Wonderful, historic, charming, great location, very clean, updated, all the amenities. Only complaints were the mattresses were a little firm for us and with the location comes traffic noise. I loved that it had fans. I loved being able to walk to the river front and all over the historic district. So close to restaurants and shops. Also love that it came with a parking spot. Would definitely visit again!

Perfect apartment! Perfect location!

This apartment is beautifully decorated, and a short walk from everything. Right across from River Street, and many great restaurants are in close proximity. The only improvement needed are mattress toppers on both beds. They are very firm(back pain causing firm).

Tybee Vacation Rentals has horrible customer service

1st they breached their contract. After signing they moved us from Haberdasham to Park View B because they had people who wanted the property for a longer period of time. 2nd, no internet the entire time we were there, we called and they claimed a tech came out. There was never a resolution and eventually they simply stopped responding to inquiries and we tried by phone, email, text and Face Book. Additionally, no reasonable compensation was offered. Please stop representing this company. I have had lovely experiences using VRBO in the past and this does not make you look good.
