This cozy retreat is what you've been looking for. This family owned cabin is on the end of a quiet road with 125 ft of frontage on Lost Lake. 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath and sleeps seven. Full kitchen, deck and private NEW dock for you to enjoy on your get away! Within 25 minutes of Minocqua, 15 to Eagle River, and 5 minutes to downtown St Germain. We are never too far from conveniences or entertainment. You'd never know it from the private setting where this home and property sit.

Rates
Yes pets are allowed! There is an additional fee of $100 per stay per pet. Maximum of two pets.
Pier is guaranteed to be in from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Before or after is not weather dependent.

Cabin is well stocked and AC works perfect. Lots of space to move around. Kitchen is well stocked. Boathouse is clean and well stocked. Pier is clean and new. There is no laundry machine on site. Otherwise lovely Northwoods cabin. Thank you.

Fantastic Spot in the Northwoods

Perfect place for a family vacation. All the amenities you may need. Location is fantastic- secluded but close enough if you need to pop into town. We had an amazing stay. Highly recommend!!

Cute Cabin on Lost Lake

Nice cabin on Lost Lake. Cabin was very clean and very well stocked with everything you could possibly need and then some! Great communication with the owner. We enjoyed being able to bring our fur baby with us too.

Cozy Cabin On The Lake

Road’s End Retreat was very comfortable for me and my family both inside the house and out. It was tight for our group of 7 plus 2 dogs, but doable even for such a large group. Sunsets on the lake were gorgeous, and we enjoyed the 5 Kayaks plus rowboat that they had. We loved that all 7 of us could go out on the lake at the same time. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Great cozy cabin on Lost Lake

My wife and I with our 2 kids really enjoyed the cabin Road's End Retreat. It is a cozy place with all the amenities we could have wanted and then some. Having kayaks available was awesome and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. We loved the lake which was calm and peaceful. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Great Vacation

We didn't want to leave Roads End Retreat. Such a beautiful charming cabin. Great fishing off the pier. Cabin was clean. Private shoreline with plenty of space. Located close to grocery store and bakery. 2 outside fire-pits. We had such a great time. Thank you!

Northwoods cabiny goodness

We enjoyed our stay at the Road's End Retreat. The cabin is in a great location- close to many Northwoods activities. Cabin has great character and the waterfront and campfire site are stunning. Eagles soar overhead and we saw deer on every dog walk. I can't recall the last time I saw so many stars in the sky. The water quality was murky, but this didn't stop my kids and my dog from swimming and we enjoyed kayaking with the provided kayaks. Overall a great and memorable stay. Owner was very responsive to a question that I had on arrival. Highly recommend.

Quaint and Rustic with all the amenities

We had a blast on our week up north, and the cabin fit our needs perfectly. It was my husband and I, our two adult children and their friends/partners, and our youngest tween. Sleeping arrangements were perfect. It's a cozy space and we had enough room for all of us. Communication with the hosts was almost immediate. The entire lake lost power for a few hours during a storm and they reached out right away. We simply enjoyed playing games by flashlight! Lost Lake has a special place in our hearts - as we have enjoyed it for many years with extended family. This was our first time staying on the other side of the lake from everyone, but a quick 2-min boat ride was all that separated us. We definitely will come back!

We happened to be up there on a very cold and rainy week in the middle of June. That kept us from enjoying the outside as much as we would have liked. The view of the lake from inside was great. We rotated who got the lake view at meal time. The cabin was nice and there were many extras such as paper plates and plastic utensils. There were lots of hooks in the bathroom to hold towels. The lake was supposed to be common for northern, but we only caught one all week. Our daughter did catch a 30-1/2 inch walleye which made the trip worthwhile. We took measurements and released it for others to catch. In order to back out of the parking area, we did need to back into the neighbor's driveway. To charge our marine battery we needed to bring it to the back. We couldn't find an outlet closer to the dock for charging. There were bumpers on the dock which was very nice. Most places don't have that.

Cabin was exactly as described and listing photos were very accurate. We spent time inside and outside the cabin, fished, had a bonfire and used the charcoal grill. The cabin is surrounded by trees and the view of the lake from the front windows was lovely. We were in very close proximity to several towns when we wanted to venture out, but still felt immersed in nature. We were a group of 4 adults and one pre-teen (multigenerational family/group). The space was a good size for us, but I wouldn’t suggest coming with more. Also the cabin was very well stocked with everything needed. I would definitely stay here again!

Great Location

The cabin was spotless upon arrival and has a wonderful A/C system which was needed at night. With the windows and doors closed, it was very quiet in the cabin. Plenty of hot water and decent water pressure, having 2 college age daughters we never ran out! Even though there are homes around the cabin, they weren't in use the week we were there and since the property is at the end of the road, it felt very private. The location is great is you like to walk and bike. We did both right from the cabin. There is a hiking trail 2 miles away called Shannon Lake and we biked there. The cabin has a great view of the lake from the inside and the deck. We saw eagles daily and loons a couple of times. We brought our paddleboards and the lake was calm the whole week to paddle. Fishing itself was OK. Largemouth, northern, smallmouth, most on the smaller side. One thing to note is that you cannot swim from this dock, too weedy. If you want to kayak, fish, paddleboard, this lake will serve the purpose well. We loved being close to Saint Germain and Sayner. Cathy's Ice Cream and the Corner Store have great ice cream. The paved bike trails aren't that far away, you have to drive to them but once you get to one of the parking lots, you can bike for miles. There are flea markets/craft fairs in the towns different days of the week. Lots of deer and turkey were seen right near the cabin daily. The hammock was a delightful surprise for our daughters, they loved it.

Relaxing and fun!

We enjoyed our stay at Road’s End Retreat. Beautiful views of the lake from the deck, dock, and fire pit (there are 2). The cabin is well stocked and the hammock outside was a fun surprise. The shed has lots of fun things to enjoy - kayaks, fishing poles and nets, horseshoes, etc. The space is nicely private and we enjoyed watching the eagles fly over the lake. Check in and out was easy and we didn’t have any issues with our stay.

Perfect fishing cabin

My wife and I stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary. Very clean and neat, had all the odds and ends so we weren’t running to the store all the time. Great view of the lake, nice charcoal grill and dock was really nice and had a bench to watch the Bob Ross status sunsets. Had a great time.

We are a family who was drawn to this property because it has something for everybody! The fishing is great! Even right off the pier the kids have been known to catch more than 30 fish in a day. Keeping them occupied and happy! It is close to the great bike trails running through Vilas County. Downtown St. Germain is only 5 minutes away! We are never too far from conveniences or entertainment. Elmer's is always fun for go-carting and 9 or 18 hole golf is just 10 minutes away! And tons of great restaurants. Everything you need right here.
