About this property
Beautiful village location with private parking + EV charger
Croeso and welcome to 'Beddgelert House' Holiday Rental sleeping 6 guests in 3 bedrooms with off roading parking for 2/3 vehicles and EV charging facility in beautiful Beddgelert village.
Our unique modernist home is a detached mid-century style property in a quiet setting just a minute's walk from Beddgelert, renowned as one of the most attractive villages within Snowdonia National Park. We are in the perfect location for for touring, walking and enjoying many of the outdoor activities within the stunning scenery of Snowdonia.
Our sustainably renovated home features open plan, split level living accommodation with wooden vaulted ceilings and generous living space. Complimented with a cosy Scandanavian wood burning stove, large decked veranda and full-length patio doors to fill the house with light and make the most of the incredible views.
Modern fitted kitchen, bathroom with wc and shower room with wc, together with 2 double bedrooms (the mezzanine is off the lounge and has no door but is not overlooked) and 1 twin bedroom. Most importantly for our busy village location, we have private driveway parking for 2/3 vehicles and an EV charge facility (fee chargeable). Guests also have use of a secure garage for storing SUPs, bikes, etc.
Situated in a sought after location within the picturesque award winning conservation village of Beddgelert, perfect for exploring the Snowdonia National Park, the historic harbour towns of Caernarfon, Porthmadog and the North Wales coast.
The house is within a minutes walk of the village and the nearby Welsh Highland Steam Railway linking to the coastal towns of Porthmadog and Caernarfon. The Snowdon Sherpa bus stop (linking all paths) is at the end of our estate.
With boating, sailing, fishing, swimming, walking, climbing, pony-trekking or mountain biking available, not to mention high adrenaline activities such as Zip World, it is an amazing location to make the most of everything Snowdonia has to offer.
Our small village has a number of pubs and cafes, not to mention a fabulous Ice cream parlour. There is also a well stocked general store and some lovely shops offering local crafts and produce.
Please use the Contact Host button to ask for special offer weekend rates and discounts. IMPORTANT Rates are auto-generated by this site and we cannot apply as discount once you have made a reservation request! Our changeover and preparation costs are fixed but the longer the stay the lower the rate will be.
Due to the layout of this house it is not recommended for toddlers or small children. Unfortunately we do not accept dogs at Beddgelert House but we do have another holiday rental that does so please use the Ask Owner button. Thank you!
Our rental rate is fully inclusive of all heating, utilities, wifi, liability insurance, and bedding, together with initial supply of logs and kindling for the fire.

About the host
Hosted by Jackie Caddick
Our home was empty and unloved for 3 year's until we were lucky enough to come across it and have a vision of how it could be. It was actually the awe inspiring sight of a steam train puffing into Beddgelert viewed from the garden which sold it there and then! Being so close to such beautiful natural surroundings really inspired us to make sustainable and eco-friendly choices when renovating the property. Most of the work was undertaken by ourselves whilst living in our 42 year old Westalia VW camper with our family of 2 kids and 1 dog.
Why they chose this property
Having camped in Beddgelert many times over the years we knew this was worthy of it's reputation as Snowdonia's most attractive village. Nestled in the middle of three mountain valleys beneath Snowdon, the village is sat in the middle of some of the best walking in the country.
One of the main advantages of Hafody (Welsh for Summer House) is it's quiet position away from the village center and the main road - parking can be very difficult in the peak of summer so having a driveway for 2 cars is most definitely a big advantage.
We worked hard on the renovation to ensure that the choices we made were good choices for the environment and in keeping with our spectacular natural surroundings, using natural and locally sourced products where possible. This included natural welsh slate, seagrass and oak flooring and recycled welsh slate roofing. We support #plasticfreesnowdonia and provide ecological cleaning products and home made soaps, re-fillable water bottles and generally do our very best to avoid any single use plastics in our home.
We provide locally sourced sustainable wood for our fabulous Scandanvian wood burner too.
