PLEASE DO NOT USE “REQUEST TO BOOK” BUTTON FOR FIRST INQUIRY. SCROLL DOWN TO OWNER AND CLICK “CONTACT HOST” TO DISCUSS PRICES. Request to book will charge your card right away. Contact host is the best way to communicate without any card info. You are not instantly confirmed as we still have the option to decline it. Xmas and New Years weeks need to start on a Sat or Sunday for 6-7 nights.
We are owners and own one condo so we can be flexible and beat or match any advertised rate for a zephyr condo and you get a renovated larger, quieter unit. The cheapest rates will be for 5 night or longer stays within one calendar week. We will give deals to completely fill in holes. We can't do midweek to midweek stays. Vrbo is not like Expedia where bookings are instantly confirmed. When clicking "REQUEST TO BOOK", the homeowner still has to either approve or can deny the booking request.
IF YOU FILL IN ANY HOLES COMPLETELY, WE CAN GIVE A GREAT DEAL
Rates do not include tax, clean $225 parking $30 day in winter (free summer) payable to lodge directly, or home away service fee.
Winter Park Short-Term Rental Registration No. 3523
NOT ALL CONDOS IN THE ZEPHYR ARE THE SAME. We always beat any management company and when you consider all the extra things you get with our condo, you'll see you get a tremendous BANG FOR THE BUCK compared with anyplace in Winter Park. Please read our reviews too.
Major renovations: -hardwood floors -stone fireplace -new appliances -new lighting -slate bathrooms with brushed nickel -granite counters
New furniture
Key differences in comparing our condo to others:
Our condo is: 1. 25% larger than most 2 bedrooms-note distance from fireplace to back window (1100ft) 2. Is a penthouse with vaulted celings. 3. Has more real beds 2 Kings (King and bunk bed in 1 room, King in the other + sofa sleeper + crib) 4. Has a larger deck with grill 5. Is in the slopeside building which has direct ski-in out access. We are THE closest bldg to slopes in all of WP. Look at a ski map. 6. Has been renovated and updated 7. You are guaranteed of where you will be. Going through the lodge you may end up with a 1st floor unit looking at construction. 8. Is quiet because it's a top floor end unit with no units across the hall. In other units it is possible to hear neighbors, snowcats, people in the hallway, the train etc. I've stayed in riverside bldg of zephyr and heard buses backing up and I've stayed in Fraser crossing and heard loud people from the central hot tub and hallways. I'm in Fraser C now and it's unbelievably loud.
NOTE: the new base village is complete. However this means that if you do not stay at the base you will have to : drive to upper parking lot (10 min), change (10 min) walk to new gondola that goes from lot to start of new village (5 min), wait for gondola (5 min), walk from gondola through village just to get to Zephyr. ( 5 min). It can add at least half an hour each way. OR you can stay at the zephyr roll out of bed and ski (no walking) to zephyr lift.
Or wait and take shuttle bus from town (20 min) to start of new village and walk 5 min to zephyr.
Even if you stay at the base there is still a walk from any base building to the zephyr lift. Ours (slopeside) is the only bldg you can ski down to the lift with no walking at all. See photo and look at ski map.
How can it get any better?! Zephyr Mountain Lodge is the only property located in the center of the action at the base of Winter Park Ski Area. Hence it's the only true ski-in-out (no cat walks). Built in 2000, it's also a newer property. Hallways, common areas, lobbies have all been completely renovated. And new elevators and new larger ski lockers have been installed. So why should you rent from us?
Convenience-convenience. You don't want to waste time on your vacation and ski-in-out is the way to go. The lift is literally outside the door (110 feet away). We are in the Slopeside building so you can literally ski right to the door. For the Riverside, fraser or founders building (not us) you have to walk a little bit.Think of it-drop the kids off at ski school then walk back, stop at Starbucks, and leisurely put on your skis while everybody else walks from their car.
Too warm? Go back and shed a layer. Two feet of powder and you can't wait for the slow pokes to get ready? Just go and meet them in a few runs. Hungry? Go back for lunch, take off your boots, relax. If somebody in your group gets tired just send them back while you ski. If you drive or take a shuttle it adds at least 20-30 minutes each way and you still have to walk with skis and take everything with you. Since you go as a group, you end up wasting time waiting for people. You get a lot more skiing done with a ski-in/out Condo. The rental shops are right there as well.
Larger is better. Our unit is a Penthouse end unit. It has vaulted ceilings and its quiet. There is nobody next to you, above you, or even across the hall. At 1100 square feet it is larger than a standard two bedroom which is 868 square foot. Most two bedrooms at the Zephyr have only enough room for one bed in each room. Our unit has a king and a bunk bed in one room and a king in the other with space left over for a crib or mattress. Our balcony is also larger. Of course you also have access to four hot tubs, a fitness center, private ski lockers, and heated underground parking.
Internet access- We have wireless internet access in the condo.
As you are renting directly from the owners we offer discounted rates and try to be reasonable. If you find a lower rate through the Lodge we will beat it.
The best reason to rent from us? We can tell you all about the secret powder stashes, glades, where to avoid crowds and icy spots and just how to ski the mountain.
Still not decided about Winter Park? There’s a new gondola outside your door, a renovated village, improved snowmaking and new glades in Eagle Wind. Winter Park consistently gets more snow on a daily basis than resorts in Summit county. Mary Jane has the best bumps in the nation. You can ski for days without doing the same line. There's glade skiing (improved this year), above tree line skiing, hike to adventure skiing in the Cirque. Of course there's plenty of cruisers and the ski school is great. There is a separate learning area for beginners with magic carpets. There is fantastic cross country skiing at YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch and Devil's thumb and some of the best snowmobiling too. It the summer there are mountain bike trails galore (500 miles) and Rocky Mountain National Park is close by. At the base there is an alpine slide, trampoline, mini golf, chairlift rides, hiking and a human maze. This year Winter Park has added lifts and done many improvements.
April renters. FYI I've had the most powder days in April than any other month consistently. Skied on closing day April 30 and the whole mountain was open with a 68" base. They had received 30" of snow from April 20-30. It was mid winter conditions.

Thx Janet! We try to respond to any texts/calls asap anytime of day. It’s one of the advantages of using an owner versus a property management company. Another reason is that we personally came up last weekend and did a midwinter deep clean and brought more things up to replace and repair. You don’t get that ever from a management company. Deep cleans are only done at the end of the season by those companies.

Thx Scott! We are the owner of only one condo not a management company. The advantage of an owner is that we can make your stay personal. We respond to texts/emails right away and can give good recs. We also use the condo and go up regularly. What this means is we are constantly refreshing the condo like bringing up new things (like new humidifier, coffee maker, utensils, towels, hair dryer) mid season. Or replacing lightbulbs, remotes and refinishing the hardwood floor and reorganizing the cabinets. Management companies just clean and go. We really try our best to make sure the condo is as perfect as can be. When we go up we always spend several hours doing maintenance things. We installed a fire stick so you can stream. There’s 2 coffee makers (reg and k cup), hot water maker, coffee bean grinder and crockpot. And kids dvds. But if you think the condo needs anything please let us know and we can bring it up next time.
Great location and comfortable accommodations. What else could you ask for!

Thx Jonathan! We love being at the lift seconds after leaving the building. Why waste an hour of time taking the bus then walking even farther! Just parking in the winter park lots (even pay lots) is quite a walk to the lifts!
The host was extremely accommodating, the condo was a perfect match for our party and its in the perfect location. We will definitely stay again

Thx. Glad you had a great time! We try to be as accommodating as possible. You guys took the train which we know arrives in the am and leaves in afternoon. No guarantee but if there is no one checking in or out then sometimes we can let guests check in early or out late depending on cleaners schedule so you can leave stuff in the condo.
Excellent location! The condo itself was a great layout, but it felt like it was lacking care of ownership. There was a closet door that was not on but leaning inside the closet. The curtains were torn off some of the rings and dusty at the top. Some of the blinds could not open. The baking sheets were super rusty. Overall, it was a good place to stay, but it just felt like the condo deserved some TLC.

This applies to ALL units in any location. During the course of the season renters will damage things and not tell us. Every time we come up after a few weeks of use we have to repair/rearrange things. This is the advantage of us being an owner and not a management company. We address and come up regularly to make sure the condo is in working order. In this situation from the time we came up to when you stayed the damage had occurred unbeknownst to us. But as soon as you communicated these issues we fixed it the following weekend-the closet door was broken despite a sign saying to be careful- we have found a solution. The drapes were torn by someone. That has been replaced. Pans were replaced. The handle controlling the blinds was broken and we fixed that. In addition we performed a midwinter deep clean cleaning the windows and under the sofas and redoing hardwood floors. I doubt you get this immediate response from almost any other condo. We rely on guests letting us know if anything needs attention and will address it but sometimes please understand it cant always be fixed the same day as things need to be ordered. Also to be fair there were several guests before and after you that had no complaints whatsoever.131 reviews can’t be wrong. This is more of a glass half empty review. What about the positives like our unit is quiet renovated no noise from the train as in Riverside, the sno cat , or people in the hallway (we are an end unit with no one across from us).
We stayed Feb 15th - 21, 2026. The condo was just as pictured. Very spacious and could not have been closer to the slopes. Pick up your skis from the personal lockers on the 2nd floor, walk out the door past the hot tubs and ski on down to the gondola. Check in was a breeze and the host was very quick to respond to questions. Parking was easy and very convenient in the underground lot. There were always spaces near the elevator for us. This was our first time in Winter Park and we had a blast. So nice to be right in the middle of the action with restaurants and bars in the village. Definitely recommend staying in this condo. It was spacious and quiet. No complaints at all. We can't wait to visit again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Zephyr Mountain Lodge. The condo was well furnished and the location was perfect. Walkable to restaurants, shops and most importantly the ski lifts. We would definitely stay here again.
Great location, super comfortable, unit was well stocked with all the necessities, and check in/out was a breeze. The owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Would definitely stay here again.
Property was fine. Bathrooms were dusty & toilet tank tops were oily/slick. Suggest a few more chairs for porch and maybe a bench for main bath.

Thanks Steven!
Looks like you had a great Powder week! Staying ski in out is worth its weight in gold. You don’t realize it until you don’t have it. Took my friend 4 hours leaving at 6 this am. And last weekend I stayed 10 miles from snowbird and took us 2 hours to get up and 7 hours (after the ski area and road closed at noon) to get down.
Host provided excellent instructions and was very responsive. Location is fantastic, condo was quiet and spacious and we had everything we needed. This condo was perfect after a long day of hitting the slopes.

Response from VrboOwner on 28 Feb, 2022
Thx Kelly! One question all renters should ask is how often do owners check their condo. We go up weekly because we day ski and our kids are in the winter park comp center. Many times when we check we notice small things that need attention that the cleaners don’t report to us. For example just this year a blind needed a rod, one closet door needing repairing, a faucet had a slow leak. All these problems were fixed (new faucet in BR) immediately. If you stay in a condo that isn’t checked I guarantee you’ll encounter inconveniences. I spoke with a friend who stayed at a nice newer lodge in Copper and her unit and many others had too many problems to list. We pay attention to detail as much as possible!
It was a perfect location with just right amenities for our girls ski trip. We loved being right in the village with skiing, shopping & dining. The host was great with communication and very helpful (even reaching out a second time to make sure I'd received the check-in procedures!).
Excellent place to stay for those who have several different levels of skiers. Direct ski-in ski-out and the little ones can watch you come down the mountain. A short walk to shops and restaurants and the security is top notch. Highly recommend !

Thx Lisa! I’m staying in steamboat now 2 miles away from the base. It takes at least 45 min to wait for the bus, get there then walk through the village whereas at the zephyr I’d be on skis in a minute. Same would happen staying in downtown WP. Family is still sleeping. It’s too hard for me to take a run and come back. Wish I was at the Zephyr! It’s so convenient!
