About this property

Cosy and comfortable with room to enjoy friends and family

The Orchard cottage has all the modern conveniences but still has old world charm with all its recycled internal linings and furniture. There are antique beds in two bedrooms and the third has bunk beds with modern pillow top mattresses for extra comfort. The bathroom has a generous two person spa and separate shower for your pleasure. The cottage has a separate toilet and a fully equipped laundry, right down to a clothes dryer. The modern kitchen has a full sized fridge, microwave and upright stove and oven. There is also a large screen t.v. and DVD recorder to keep the young ones amused. The front verandah has views out over the surrounding countryside and is the perfect spot to relax with a glass of your favourite beverage or a good book. The back verandah has a bbq and a table for six for those wishing to indulge in an old Australian custom, "the barbie". There are chooks to feed and horses to pat on our 14 acre property. There is all you need to enjoy family and friends in a comfortable and serene environment.

Cozy with stunning details

This property well exceeded expectations. It is very comfortable, cosy, and has stunning details. Quiet and warm for a winter retreat and a wide range of things to do in the area. We walked in Chiltern-Mt Pilot NP, explored Beechworth, caught up over the supplied Port, watched wrens and finches in the garden, and snuggled on the couch with the TV on, everything we wanted from the weekend.

Peaceful retreat

Had a fantastic stay at this cottage with friends from interstate - perfect half way point. Two rooms with double beds and another with 2 bunks. Ducted heating a little slow but there were electric blankets on the double beds and a wood heater. Beautiful breakfast provisions left for us too. Great local area to explore or just chill at home. Lovely big dog to greet you too! Hosts were wonderful and very helpful.

We had a fabulous time at Colby Cottages. Linda and Jamie were very welcoming to us and the pooches. Our cottage was immaculate and very cosy. We had some amazing food in Beechworth. Thank you guys we will definitely be back!

A wonderful relaxing and feel at home pet friendly accommodation to stay
