About this property

Granite Cottage - historical and stylish

This unique heritage retreat built in 1860 offers comfortable modern features in the heart of Beechworth. Granite Cottage is on two acres in a peaceful and quiet location, a short stroll from the main street and only steps from the Gorge with a plethora of walking and riding trails. It is close to restaurants and cafes, including two breweries, wine bars, boutique shops, Lake Sambell and the new Epic mountain bike trail. Granite Cottage is perfectly situated to explore all that Beechworth and the surrounding high country has to offer.

Through split levels, the main bedrooms with queen beds are located on the ground floor and in the loft. A lounge dining room and separate sitting room with new double sofa bed provides space for two couples to easily enjoy the house across different spaces, or the option for additional guest/s on the sofa bed.

Three outdoor dining areas and a fully fenced yard offer the opportunity to relax amongst the spacious tranquil garden with your pet. Visit https://www.prettyfluffy.com/pet-lifestyle/pet-travel/granite-cottage-pet-friendly-accommodation-in-beechworth to see just how wonderful Granite Cottage is for guests.

A wonderful area for cycling - Granite Cottage also offers storage especially for your biking equipment.

For a unique, comfortable and relaxing break - this is the place for you.
The space:

Offering two queen beds, Granite Cottage sleeps four with the option of a double sofa bed if you have a few extra guests. Please enquire if you would like use of the sofa bed.

The house includes a modern kitchen with a Breville Oracle coffee machine and local coffee beans, and one bathroom with a spa bath, shower and separate toilet.

Enjoy your coffee in the morning sun on the front verandah, relax with a drink in the afternoon on the back porch couches or cook a BBQ dinner to enjoy on the outdoor table in the garden.

A cosy fireplace in the lounge, along with ducted heating and cooling throughout the house are available.

Pets considered on request - the yard is fully secured, with an insulated kennel provided under the back porch.

Lovely weekend

We stayed on a very cold weekend and the heating was as great. Good location, close to everything. Our dog loved the backyard, many things to investigate.

Simply delighful

We loved our stay at Granite Cottage. It was perfect for us and our fur baby and our only complaint is that we all wanted more time and didn’t want to leave. We will definitely look to stay here again on our next trip to Beechworth. Thank you.

Not a house for older people or their old dog

House was nice in a beautiful garden with very good fencing for our old dog. Unfortunately, there were too many uneven surfaces and different levels for us as 70+ guest. There were steps into every room, even a 3inch step into the toilet in an otherwise flat area in the house.
