Escape to the quiet beauty of British Columbia's Shuswap region and experience a truly relaxing nature retreat at Tin Poppy Cabin. Nestled on 160 private forested acres in the Larch Hills, this peaceful cabin getaway offers the perfect balance of comfort, privacy, and connection to nature.

Located 5 hours from Vancouver and Calgary, and 25 minutes from both Salmon Arm and Enderby.

Tin Poppy is a unique off-grid glamping cabin nestled in the Larch Hills near Salmon Arm, BC. Solar-powered and one-of-a-kind, it blends retro-inspired design with modern comfort for unique stay in the heart of the Shuswap.
A beautifully restored 1953 vintage mobile home, wrapped in a spacious modern screened-in building.

The remote solar powered cabin has electricity, running water and wifi, and a gas fireplace for heating the mobile home portion of the cabin.
Inside the structure you’ll find a powder room with a flushing toilet and sink, and just steps away is a private outdoor shower with hot water on demand, all towels and had soap is provided. Please bring other personal toiletries.

Sleeping up to seven guests, the cabin features a queen-sized bed in the master bedroom, queen-size dinette bed, a single bed in the private mid-room, and a double futon in the screened-in space. All linens and duvets provided.

Private master bedroom: 1 queen bed
Private second bedroom: 1 single bed
Kitchen/living area: The dining table converts into a queen bed.
Screened-in porch: 1 double futon

The queen bed in the dining area and the double futon are in open living spaces, while the master bedroom and single bedroom can both be closed off for privacy.
Upstairs, a cozy loft offers stunning valley views and the perfect spot for stargazing.

The kitchenette includes an apartment-sized fridge and freezer, a gas stove, and all pots/pans and basic kitchen utensils needed for meal preparation. There is a propane bbq, and propane is provided. Guests should bring all groceries, coffee, cooking oil, and personal food items needed for their stay. Salt and pepper is provided. There is a french press and stove top percolator for coffee making.

Outside the cabin is large fire pit, seasonal herb garden, and 14 km of private maintained and signed walking trails. We recommend downloading the free avenza app and uploading our geo-referenced trail map so that you can see where you are on out trail system without service.

Please note that there may be other pets on the property, so we recommend bringing friendly, well-socialized pets that are comfortable around other animals.

Firewood for campfire can be purchased for $20 per bundle, you are welcome to bring your own firewood.

There are three other cabins on the retreat, but each is spaced 5–10 minutes apart by foot, offering guests a sense of privacy while still being part of our nature retreat.

Please note that the final 11 km to the property is along a well-maintained gravel and forest service road, adding to the cabin's peaceful, off-the-beaten-path setting.
Tin Poppy is ideal for adventurous, nature-loving guests looking to slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy a simple, peaceful retreat surrounded by the forest.
