We had a great week at Dunn-4-Funn with the relaxation of a lake cottage but all of the modern amenities. It was so nice to have towels, linens, tp, paper towels, hand soap, etc all provided. Comfortable furniture was also appreciated as the cottages we've rented the past few years have been lacking in that area. Our family enjoyed a round of golf and several matches on the tennis court in addition to a lot of time on the water.
Jim & Jenni are wonderful hosts and we enjoyed visits on the deck with them. We hope to make a return visit in the future.
Absolutely perfect place for our family getaway. Jim was awesome, anything you need he would do it or get it. The place was sparkling clean, beds were comfy. Nice deck out back to hang, steps from the dock. All basic kitchen stuff was provided (pots, pans, silverware. etc.) If you like to cook, bring your own spices, oils , paper products, etc. Get the lowdown on the lake from Jim as it is shallow in all different places (I goofed and dented the prop.) The restaurant on the lake is a short boat ride away, nice break from cooking or for an afternoon cocktail. The boat ride up to Corn island is a fun trip up the rivers and lakes. Can't wait to stay again!!
Jim’s property was everything as advertised and a great location. Would definitely stay here again.
Jim was easy to work with and checking in and out was very simple. The house was perfect for my family and provided the space we needed for vacation. Beds were comfortable and the house was well organized and clean. Beautiful back deck with a grill, outdoor table and view of the lake made this property hard to beat.
Our family had an incredible week at Iyopawa. The location couldn't have been better. Jim and Jenni are incredible hosts offering help and suggestions throughout the week. They are the Perfect Neighbors. We were able to kayak, SUP, fish, swim and anchor on the sandbar. It was the perfect vacation to have during this time of uncertainty in the world today. We will be returning.
Our Blessings to Jim and Jenni

Love the way your family enjoyed our island. Looking forward to having you back.
My husband, myself and parents just stayed in Jim and Jenni's beautiful island cottage on the chain of Coldwater Lake. Jim and Jenni were fantastic host and their cottage is decorated nicely, comfortable and has a fantastic view and location on the lake. We were so happy with the accommodations and Jim and Jenni were great host and very nice. We would definitely go back!

Peaceful and Comfortable
The cottage was even nicer than we expected. Lots of windows and light. Comfortable furniture. The location is perfect if you're looking for a cozy, relaxing vacation. It feels private and close to nature. The cottage if very close to the water and you can enjoy great views right from the living room sofa. Outside, we enjoyed the hammock and floating on the raft we brought and tied to the dock. If you want to swim, it'd be ideal to have a boat and drive to the nearby sandbar or out to deeper water as the shore by the cottage is fairly shallow with a bottom that's more soft and squishy than sandy. The owners are nearby and eager to be of help if needed. Wonderful stay!

About the host
Hosted by Jim Maxson
We are raising our fifth generation of family on the island. Since 1921 my family has been part of an incredible history here. . We have traveled enough to know that we're not moving off this island. We purchased the cottage from our next door neighbor and best friend when he past. We have completely remodeled and really didn't know what we were going to do with it. Our kids and grandkids are all local and use our house next door like a family should, often ! So instead of cleaning up after our kids, we have decided to offer it on a limited basis for rental.
Why they chose this property
