The Tiny Owl cabin is cozy, thoughtfully furnished, and perfect for our romantic weekend getaway! We enjoyed peaceful evenings in the hot tub under the stars while listening to the nearby creek. We will be back!
Beautiful place with a small creek and pond, the hosts were so nice and answered all of the questions I had! This is a perfect relaxing place to stay after a long day of hiking.
I wish the cabin was advertised a bit better, as I thought it was secluded (may be user error, but i have/had repeatedly gone back and checked the listing). The cabin is more of a group setting with three other cabins within view. Upon looking through the pictures of the listing, in my opinion it was perfectly pictured to look secluded and even have its own pond. We walked up a hill to get to the pond, that was shared. It also would have been nice if the property owners had described that you WILL need a four-wheel drive vehicle. Thank God we took my boyfriend’s truck, because my little Chevy Cruze would not have sufficed. Overall, we still had a nice time at the place it would just had been nice if it were advertised better.
we actually stayed in the "Tiny Fox" and we had a wonderful time. after a minor issue that ms Tammy resolved in a matter of minutes we had the most relaxing stay just the timeout my husband and i needed. beautiful area to spend some us time.
We stayed for 4 nights and really loved everything about it. The drive in and out is a bit steep, so definitely recommend 4WD or AWD vehicle. Cabin was clean and well maintained. Hot tub was great, and clean! The owner was extremely easy to get ahold of, and talk to. Any issues we had she was quick to respond and to fix it! Would absolutely recommend! It’s small, and private, but still close enough to Gatlinburg/ pigeon forge to go out and have fun for a day! Overall great experience.
This cabin is absolutely adorable! It is well equipped for a 2 night stay. Secluded (though there are a few other cabins near by within walking distance it feels very private). The host is VERY responsive to all messages and also lives near by
Perfect for a cozy weekend get away, peaceful woods setting with plenty of room and privacy. Everything was in order and the management was prompt and responsive. Very satisfied with our stay
The property was beautiful. All of the cabins were placed to where you really can't see each other. It actually gave me a lot of wonderful ideas. Great spot for a couples get away. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer.
We had an amazing time in the Tiny Owl cabin. Hosts were beyond accommodating and made us feel right at home. Counting down the days until I can work it out to come back and visit!

About the host
Hosted by Tammy and Sam
Please allow us to introduce ourselves. We are Sam and Tammy ; We ourselves were once visitors to The Great Smoky Mountains. Sam is a native Swiss/German and had always the idea to offer and operate a “back to the basics” or Vacation retreat “holiday on a family owned and operated Farm”. We traveled all over the US to see where we want to settle. It took only one visit to realize that this is where we wanted to live, work and raise our children. We went back and forward , sold our home/company and moved to what we think is a most extraordinary place. We are extremely proud to own and operate Stuetz Mountain Retreat, where you will receive top notch personal attention to make your stay a memorable one. Each of the cabins we build from a kit or from scratch. All measures have been taken to provide all the comforts of home to make your stay as comfortable and authentic as possible. Click on the Cabins tab and take a tour of the available cabins. Each cabin has a list of amenities sure to please any vacationer and adventure seeker. We hope you enjoy The Great Smoky Mountains and this peace of paradise alone or with your family as much as we have.
In our life, it has been clear that nothing comes easily. We are happy that we took the hard road in many areas to develop and maintain our land, knowing that this efforts will eventually produce better results. Since we are family owned and operated we also maintain a self-sustainable lifestyle. Instead of using disposable products constantly, Sam and Tammy aims to use recyclable and reusable alternatives, even though they often require more effort. Enjoy your stay with us!
