Very quiet, secluded location, spectacular sea view
The house was completely renovated in 1996, is located on a hill, far from the tourist flow, with a beautiful view of the sea. It is warm and cozy even in winter with central heating and an open fire. Two bedrooms, large kitchen, bathroom, winter garden, nice helpful neighbors. Since I often live in it myself, it is very personally and comfortably furnished with everything you need, free WIFI. The house is located 10 km from the main town. Minibus connection 1 time / day to the main village. Bicycles can be rented. The house can be reached without a car from Dublin Airport.

A lovely home with outstanding views. It was the perfect place to rest and relax. Despite some weather "interruptions", which Elizabeth was quick to advise me about, all went well. Such is island life! Special thanks to neighbor Vincent for checking in on me and telling great stories about Inishmore.
Just what i needed! Wonderful location…although a house was being built next door, we never heard any construction noise. Vincent, ( neighbor across the road) was helpful with rides and recommendations for places to eat and visit. My daughter and I enjoyed the peace and quiet along with the breathtaking view.
A cozy warm cottage with comfortable beds. No rain the entire week… we were quite fortunate. Elizabeth was receptive to my questions regarding the cleaning issue and addressed it right away.
One suggestion would be …get a microwave if possible.
I loved the view and everything was as described.
One idea for improvement would be to give the information which one finds in the house when arriving beforehand. Especially for transportation.
A beautiful house with a personal touch, a very accommodating hostess and everything you need. There are people to contact if something needs to happen, the location of the house is perfect if you want to be alone for a while, and the island itself is wonderful anyway. Many thanks to Elizabeth!
Generally a very good stay only issue was getting from port to the property as Michael ignored us to try to get a tour group. When he could not find a group he agreed to take us.
Scenery is spectacular and the house was excellent. Would recommend it to friends
It was something out of a dream, a good dream. We live in a rural area and are used to the quiet but, I’ve never experienced quiet like this, just the wind and the sea and the birds. This cottage is in a beautiful location with STUNNING 360degree views.
The cottage was clean and comfortable and well equipped. There are lots of interesting books to read and a great selection of Irish movies. If you love to walk, this is the place for you but, be prepared for hills.
Be sure to arrive with groceries, the bus to town only runs 2 times a week . Taxis are alway an option and there are also two bikes but we did not feel up to that challenge
Would we go back? Absolutely, if the opportunity presented itself. This was a great break from the world and an opportunity to connect with yourself and nature.
Wunderbar.
The house is in a amazing place, in front to the ocean. Very well equipped, including a water filter and one bike. The surroundings are really quiet and you hear only the blowing of the wind. You have a spectacular view on the ocean. Very useful is also the conservatory (veranda) that get warm when there is the sun and shield you when it's raining. The shop is far about 11 km from the house, so you have to use the bike or the bus to go there. There is also an important washing machine. The islanders are very friendly and helpful. We recommend this place to the people that is looking for calm and tranquility.
I came to spend 2 weeks in Ireland to recouperate. The property was clean and beautiful, and exactly the quiet, relaxed location I wanted. I had an idyllic holiday, Elizabeth left ample instructions to make my time there a delight and to help me access what I wanted to do, and was very responsive to all questions I had. I had an phenomenal stay and I would stay here again gladly.
The house is situated in a remote part of the island which dictates your holiday. Great for a relaxed "away from it all" island holiday, where you can enjoy the wonderful views. and peaceful surroundings.
As it's remote you have to cycle everywhere which we did.. approx 40 mins cycle to shop, pub etc. 20 mins cycle to lovely beach. We only used local taxi when leaving, so can't advise on how it would have been if we weren't prepared for long cycles in all weathers.
Communication with Elizabeth was excellent throughout our stay.
House is very well equipped. It has good central heating which warmed the house up on a few cold mornings. There is a stove too but we didn't need to use it.
We enjoyed our stay with great trips to Dun Aonghusa, Poll na bPeist, watching the seal colony and plenty of bracing swims.
Elizabeth's house is situated in a beautiful location on the quieter side of the island with a panoramic view of Galway bay. It is comfortable, tastefully decorated and extremely well equipped for all the requirements of self-catering. Elizabeth was extremely helpful in providing useful information to make the trip to Inis Mór an unforgettable holiday.
We had a wonderful time on our week long holiday to Inis Mor. The house is very cosy and is beautifully secluded with breathtaking views of the sea. The house is quite a distance from the village so we rented bikes and used bus/taxi services to visit. There is lots to do and see on the island and the locals are very friendly.
Exactly as advertised. Beautiful, quiet, secluded house with a 180 degree view of the sea and the Galway coast.
