Potamos cottage is part of 300 years old small hamlet, it is a Petite traditional cottage suited on the hillside among olive groves and carob trees overlooking the Mediterranean sea.
In the valley of the White River and the gorge of Pefki.
Ideal for nature lovers, only 900m from the beaches, tavernas and shops of harbour town Makrigialos at the foot of the Pefki Gorge this area offers fantastic opportunities for those who love walking and nature..
With high speed internet and High-quality premium mattresses made with natural materials

Then there are two ways..

One to the bathroom (standing shower),

One to a private bedroom.
The bedroom has a double bed, a window and a way out to the veranda.

The “Veranda” is filled with flowers and olive trees.
There is a dining table you may enjoy your meals & relax while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, and the fresh air of the country side.

The view of the Mediterranean sea only 900m away on the one side, and the beautiful high mountains of the gorge of “Pefki” rising up behind you.

There is an open air private parking available for our guests 50 meters away from the small path that leads you to the cottages.

A beautiful place!

Thanks to our lovely host Emma. The small house is an old stone house and beautifully decorated, absolutely clean and equipped with all amenities. It is located in the middle of an olive grove. You wake up with the sound of the wind and the cicadas. That's exactly what we were looking for. The location is perfect, you can quickly reach beautiful and remote beaches and there is a lot to see in the area. And the recommendations for the taverns can be followed thoughtlessly. For us, the south-east is the most beautiful part of Crete. Thank you Emma

Wonderful quirky property

What can we say this lovely traditional cottage is just beautiful, it is exactly as you see in the photographs and although it is not big it is fine for two people. Maria could not have been more helpful when greeting us and the cottage was spotlessly clean with everything you could need for an enjoyable stay. The veranda with its beatiful handmade table and chairs had an amazing view of the sea on one side and mountains on the other and was a lovely place to eat alfresco. We loved the area and found some lovely places to swim along the coast, and took many drives into the surounding mountains. We had a wonderful time thank you.

  Situated 900m from the sun washed sandy beach & the heart of the picturesque fishing village of Makrigialos, a beautiful 10 minute walk along the river bank of “Aspros potamos” surrounded by authentic cretan countryside, yet right next to the beginning of the trail that leads up to “Pefki gorge”, famous for its stunning natural beauty and magnificent views, making it ideal for hiking lovers!
