Phillip's home is breathtaking from it's perfect layout to its views of the lake. Our family thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this beautiful home. Initially, we had some check-in issues with access difficulties, but Phillip was apologetic and offered a fairly quick resolution. Upon entering, we found the interior was clearn, but the exterior spaces on the deck and patios weren't with cobwebs which showed some age to them. Nonetheless, we quickly found a broom, and cleaned where we knew we'd be lounging. The grill was clean & the tank was full. I know this because we certainly put it to good use! My family kayaked, fished, swam, and roasted marshmallows in their beautiful and well-stocked firepit.
If not for the evening showers, we would've enjoyed a fire each night of our visit. For future guests, please be advised that you'll need to supply your own linens, excluding the kitchen linens, bathroom soaps, shower gels as well as replenishments for paper products. These were not provided. Thankfully, the Food Lion grocery store is nearby. Finally, the wi-fi was somewhat sluggish. A few of my relatives became frustrated by this as they attempted to do some work early before enjoyin the rest of the day. However, we, as returning Lake Gaston visitors, realize that cell service and wi-fi is an issue for ALL of Lake Gaston. Future guests need to be aware of this & use it to enjoy the beautiful exterior spaces. Before leaving, my family was discussing plans for next year - hopefully returning to this home again.
