Turn off the highway#64 and gently wind through the woods a quarter mile to our hilltop home. For over 60 years, our family and friends have enjoyed the peaceful natural beauty of our nearly 40 acres of wooded land, pond, waterfall and stream all connected by pathways. From our home, one only needs to look out towards the north to find Big and Little Sheep Cliff Mountains and to the west to see sacred Whiteside Mt. On the land there are dogwoods, rhododendrons, maples and pine that line our two acres of front lawn and gardens. This is an ever-changing seasonal vista that appeals to one, two or even three families at a time due to the spacious layout with two master suites at each end. Not only ideal for large gatherings like family reunions and weddings, but also great for a couple of families who want to ski, golf, fish, climb trails or raft at nearby resorts. Dogs have their own fenced in area and are always welcome! Two bedrooms are handicap accessible. I love to entertain and our 3 dining areas inside and two outside accommodate a variety of daily celebrations. All the china, glassware, tableware & linens are at your disposal to create your own distinctive style. Caterers, party supplies, musicians are available locally and I've had some memorable evenings under the stars. The Cashiers plateau offers a plethora of first class restaurants, boutiques, and entertainment . My favorite activity is to hike to one of the over 100 waterfalls nearby:"Land of the Waterfalls"as it is called by the indigenous Cherokees. Many people enjoy the golf, marinas and mt.biking also. This year I walked all around the village on a new purpose built trail that was beautifully organized for kids, shoppers and native plant lovers.
