It is a beautiful place. Was able to accommodate 12 of us with lots of room. The views were fabulous. Would stay here again.

We had a very comfortable 3-day stay. The views are spectacular and the house is well appointed with everything needed. The directions were pretty straight forward so the house was easy to reach. The host was very responsive to our questions and needs. Travelers should be aware that it is about a 40 min ride to/from Homer, and there isn't a lot to do in the vicinity of the house, so they should plan accordingly. Also, we would've liked to have better furniture on the patio. The only thing there is some plastic chairs with no table. Overall, it was a great place to spend 3 days.

Beautiful, Remote Location

Our group stayed here for a nearby wedding. The property was well stocked, clean, and stunning views. Bob was very communicative leading up to and during the stay.

Beautiful cabin with incredible views. The cabin was perfect. The gourmet kitchen had everything we needed to prepare the nightly meal. The bedrooms were spacious. The beds were very comfy & warm. absolutely loved sitting around the fireplace in the evening reminiscing over the days adventures & wildlife sightings.

Stayed here for a short ladies weekend- the house was very nice, the kitchen big and perfect for preparing meals, and the views amazing! The location is out of town and very private. 10/10 would recommend.

Stunning secluded property

Robert’s home is gorgeous with stunning views of the glaciers. It is remote which is the only reason I gave it a 4. If seclusion is your goal, this house is perfect.

Beyond Exceptional!

This home exceeded all of our expectations. We saw moose in the yard every day of our stay. We even saw a few porcupines in the yard. The home itself was exceptionally comfortable for our large group of 12. The kitchen was extremely well outfitted for a vacation rental home. The host was extremely accommodating and the detailed notes regarding the home and our experience was perfect. We would not hesitate to rent again when we are in Homer.

Loved the location

It was lovely enjoying the mountain/ glacial views this lovely cabin boasts. Private, yet a short, drive into Homer, was the best of both worlds. The only thing I wish we would have had more detail about was just how stocked the kitchen was. We ended up buying too many condiments/ seasoning types of groceries when the house was fully stocked on all these things. A few extra blankets would have been great for the couch and early morning porch seatings. Very comfortable and great location. Exactly what we were looking for.

Jenica, Thank you for the review and feedback. With respect to the kitchen spices and condiments, guests both leave extra condiments/ spices, but also use them, and it is not possible to maintain a current inventory, nor to restock if guests were to use up all of something - guests only stay several days and the constant turnover makes spices and condiments a very moving target! There are extra blankets for sitting outside etc., - at least a half dozen, that are in the bottom shelf of the bookcase in the upstairs sitting area. I guess we'll have to find a more conspicuous place to store them since they weren't obvious. I'll also update the handbook to mention that they are available. Thank you again for the feedback.

The Hidden Unicorn

This property was absolutely magical! The home is gorgeous and very comfortable with enough space for large groups. The views during the day and at night were breathtaking and there was no shortage of amenities in the home. Our group went snowmachining during the day and this home was the perfect location for accessing the trails out by Caribou Lake. Our host Bob was phenomenal when it came to communication throughout the entire stay. I would definitely recommend a stay at this luxurious beautiful getaway. Its worth every penny, especially if you enjoy snowmachining or winter activities.

Great Place

Our family had a great time staying here while up here from out of state for our wedding. It had everything they needed except a place for their 1 year old to sleep. I would recommend a crib and a baby gate to keep toddlers from escaping up and down the stairs. It is a beautiful place in a beautiful setting. They saw a mama moose and twin calves in the yard a few times. Plenty of space for all 5 couples and two small children. Not sure why there is a steep cleaning fee for each day when it only gets cleaned after we leave, and we are asked to put the bedding and towels in the laundry and haul away our trash. Other than that it was great!

Carl, Thank you for your review. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. Of note, the cleaning fee is not per day, but is a one time fee per stay for our local cleaning crew to turn over the five bedroom/ seven bed/ three bathroom/ three level lodge in five hours between 11:00 checkout and 4:00 pm checkin for next guests. The fee is on par compared to cleaning my personal home in Colorado. When same-day turnovers are occurring, we ask gusts to start the laundry- even with twin sets of washing machines, getting it all done in five hours is a challenge. Thank you again for your comments.
