About this property

Where Hinterland birdsong welcomes you

Bower 63 offers guests a modern hinterland escape only 2 minutes from the thriving township of Maleny and close to local attractions on the picturesque Blackall Range of Queensland's Sunshine Coast. The two bedroom detached house is sparklingly new, boasting modern appliances and amenities. The contemporary, quirky decor reflects the iconic 60's & 70's Mid-Century era, complete with geometric designs, teak cigar legged tables, and my personal favourite, a burnt orange replica Featherston chair. The name Bower 63 is due to a beloved resident of our 1 acre garden, a male Satin Bower Bird complete with his scattered hoard of blue treasures. The 63 reflects the Mid-Century period, and denotes my birth year. Bower 63 rests amidst a green garden setting beneath established deciduous trees and over looks fertile farming land, hills and the Obi Obi creek tree line with furnished patios off the living and bedroom 1 to relax & take in the peaceful view. The bedrooms have luxury king & queen sized beds complete with beautiful linen. The modern fully equiped kitchen, and dining, living areas are spacious and kept comfortable beneath raked ceilings and reverse cycle air-conditioning.

Great location, close to town.
We stayed for the weekend to attend the local Asian food festival with friends. The property has everything you need & more. Close to town, the quiet environment offered a nice relaxing place to come back to at the end of the day. Enough space for 2 couples comfortably. Very clean, tidy & up date, the property provided & great addition to a great weekend away.

About the host

Hosted by Anne Poremskis

Host profile image
Hosts Anne & Steve have become entranced by the magic and vibrancy of living in Maleny since moving here with their family just over a year ago from the Central Coast in NSW. The host's love of travel and in particular the spectacular Sunshine Coast hinterland has fuelled this new adventure to enable them to share their new scenic home in the Blackall Range with a diversity of other people. Anne, a practicing artist herself, has only just begun to discover and indulge her creative passions through the tapestry of artisans, craftspeople, galleries, workshops, markets and endless community events on offer in this region. A few examples of her fine art and photography are displayed on the walls of the apartment. The hosts interests also extend to bush walking, kayaking & bike riding. What Anne & Steve have experienced and found refreshing since relocating to Maleny is the friendly, down to earth locals that express a genuine interest in spending time to chat and get to know you. A rarity in today's fast paced world. Yes, I guess you could say they have become true advocates for this region of Queensland, as they hope their guests will become soon after their stay.
