Spacious and Beautiful Cottage with Amazing Hosts

We've stayed in vacation rentals for more than 12 years because it is a great way to travel comfortably with children. We've rented all kinds of homes, in many different countries and parts of the U.S. Of all the rentals, Half Moon Cottage is one of the best appointed with a very well-equipped kitchen, ample towels, cleaning supplies, and even a beach-ready cooler. The freezer had a bowl of ice ready to use and filled ice trays. In case you forget shampoo, sunscreen, or inspect spray, all these are available. The size and floorplan are very comfortable and spacious. The bed is extremely comfortable and the couches were so perfect for reading that my husband and I often chose to stay and read. We had our own speaker, so did not use the sound system or television, but everything is set up for you to relax and enjoy your stay. The cottage deck has sweeping sunset views of the Caribbean water side of Long Island. There is an amazing tower that not only gives water views of the Atlantic, and wonderful cool trade wind breezes, but also an amazing 360 view of the northern end of Long Island. In a few minute's walk, you reach the restaurant at Stella Maris, and a bit further you can enjoy the Natural Ocean Pool as well as Moonshine Bar. Jeannette and David are perfect hosts, reaching out to make sure you have everything you need for an amazing stay, but also giving space and privacy. David even asked if we'd like some lobster and wine, of course, I answered YES. I looked up how to prepare the lobster and made one of the best meals we've eaten while traveling. This rental was our last week of an epic three week, two island trip and was wonderful. By the way, Stella Maris Airport is one of the most beautiful and user-friendly airports we've used and it's only minutes away. :) Thank you for a wonderful and very relaxing stay!

Wonderful Bahamian Cottage

My wife & I stayed a week with my son & his wife in a very clean and comfortable cozy Bahamian Cottage! We enjoyed many delicious meals out and in as well as family days & evenings together watching sunrises and sunsets. The A/C’s made the sleeping very easy after a daylong of exploring Long Island SCUBA diving, snorkeling and walkabout exploring. Wonderful Bahamian Cottage!
