About this property

Amazing Beachfront to Estuary Views.

Oceanfront on the non-driving beach, with amazing beach to estuary views throughout the home. Located just a few miles north of the pristine Canaveral National Seashore. This south facing end unit is bright and airy with natural light in every room. Great for watching Dolphins in the surf and birds in the estuaries. relaxing is easy.

The condo is professionally renovated including an update in 2023 & 2025. The flow of the living room/dining room/kitchen was reorganized with a spacious island, as well as dining table, to accommodate today’s modern family. All TVs are WiFi.

The unit is child friendly and the “toy” closet is stocked with chairs, umbrellas, tennis rackets, beach towels and beach toys.

LIVING ROOM/DINING ROOM
The spacious living room has incredible unobstructed views of ocean to the intercoastal estuaries. There is a variety of comfortable seating (sofa, recliner and side chairs) and HD Smart TV. The living room opens to the balcony that has two separate oceanfront seating areas; one with relaxing seating and the other with a table and bar stools.

KITCHEN
The kitchen is a highlight of the unit and is 100% updated from floor to ceiling. It was designed so that a serious cook enjoys cooking...even while the kids are warming up a pizza in the double oven. Fantastic views of the beach from the wall of windows make meal preparations--and even washing dishes!-- a delight. The eating/serving island is a unique design feature and seats three comfortably for dinner, snacks or a socializing with glass of your favorite beverage while preparing meals.

MASTER BEDROOM
This starts with a wall full of oceanfront windows . Furnished with a king bed, multiple storage locations and a Smart TV. The bathroom was updated in 2023.

2nd BEDROOM
Functions as a second master bedroom that is isolated from other rooms and has views of the ocean and estuaries. It has a private, fully remodeled bathroom making this ideal for a second set of parents or a great spot for the teenage girls to get away from the boys! It is furnished with a Queen bed, seating, a Smart TV and space a a porta crib additional sleeping.

3rd BEDROOM
This is designed as a bunkroom for the kids with two bunk beds; both are twin over full size. This bedroom is connected to the 3rd bathroom that was renovated in 2025. It has a very large closet to avoid clutter in the room. There is a Smart TV and lot sof plugs to charge all the devices.

ADDITIONAL ACCESSORIES
Guests have access to umbrellas, beach chairs, beach toys for the kids, boogie boards. For evening fun and/or rainy days, the unti is stocked with puzzles and games for all ages, a large collection of books.

CLEANING
Our condo is professionally cleaned after the departure of each guest. You wash the beach towels on your last night and run the dishwasher as you leave. The service does the rest.

SOUTHWIND FEATURES
The exterior of the complex has been fully renovated, including structural work. The complex has a coded gate/parking system making Southwind one of only a few facilities in New Smyrna Beach with restricted access. The pool is large and heated. The activty area has tennis, basketball and pickleball (2) counts.

Spring Vacation at Southwind

We loved it! Our youngest grandson even had legos to work on. It was great to be on the beach. The kitchen was already stocked with important items. Overall, we hope to stay again next year!

A Beautiful Experience!

We stayed at this amazing condo for two weeks in July and it was totally perfect. The condo is spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Our host was incredibly helpful and communicated with us clearly throughout the process. We loved waking up to a nice cup of coffee and watching the sunrise from the large corner balcony. We definitely look forward to returning to this beautiful piece of heaven in New Smyrna Beach!

Amazing location and excellent accommodations.

Perfect space for 4 adults and 4 kids, with all the comforts of home. Breathtaking sunrises from the balcony and a short elevator ride and walk to the pool and beach. Unseasonably warm temps and no rain didn't hurt either (basically perfect weather). We saw dolphins from the beach and balcony, but no sharks... Also saw a SpaceX rocket launch from the beach. Location is close to many restaurants and there were great shops downtown.

Family annual get-away

This place is spotlessly clean, quiet, super-comfy beds, plenty of space, seating, & extras for whole family.. We're scattered over several states & really look forward to re-connecting each summer, this is our 2nd time at this condo & it's a great fit. We love cooking together, the kitchen's quality cookware & appliances made it easy. Well stocked activity closet. A couple of rainy afternoons we played ping pong & pool upstairs, watched dolphins & sunsets from there. We literally needed only a toothbrush & a few clothes changes for this perfect getaway.

Drilling Noise

The noise level of the concrete drilling was pretty loud & heard every day for hours. Not conducive to vacationing, especially when it can be done during the off season when prices are at their peak.

Just Like Home - We already miss it!

We have stayed in NSB condos on this 1/4 mile of beach for several years. We are in our 70's so a lot of things matter to us that might not to younger families, but David and Maggie have made this condo comfortable and livable. When we weren't in the comfy chairs on our private corner deck we were in the recliners inside. Good beds, good showers, good HVAC, plenty of hot water and the most well-stocked kitchen we have ever had in our years using VRBO. It really is like being at home and all you need to do is be sure you leave it as well-stocked as you found it! It may not be the most updated place, but the homey touches and personality appealed to us. Communication was quick, easy and willing to help with all of our needs. And, we were impressed by The Southwind. Aside from a couple of days when an elevator was out (one was always working!), we experienced nothing negative. With only 5 units per floor, noise was never a problem -- even with a renovation going on in the unit next door. The pool is large with plenty of chairs and we spent hours (literally) on the sun deck by the ocean. It is well-cared for with on-site management.

The host was very accommodating and quick to answer questions. The unit was clean and had a nice closet of things for the beach and sport courts including new pickleball paddles. The view was perfect from the balcony and the morning sun came right onto it while we sat on the cushioned chairs. The pool was warm and huge, plenty of space to swim. The deep end was fun to play. The sport court area was so nice and updated. We got a basketball from the office right by the sport court when they were working during the day. The shuffle board equipment is always available on the outside of the office. Our weather was upper 60s low 70s so we played a lot there. The beach patio is a rare gem. There are lounge chairs to sit on and a couple tables with only one step down to walk right onto the beach. Our kids loved it and using the provided sand shovel and toys. The bicycles were a fun addition. We spent one evening on the 12th floor owners lounge with the provided key and popped popcorn, played card games, puzzles, and billiards. We had a great time!

A Great Experience

Our vacation was booked at the start of Hurricane Nicole. Our host was exceptional in communicating with us and keeping us updated during the storm. He stayed in constant contact in regards to damage in the area, power to the building and bridge closures/openings. Upon arrival the check in process was easy and the property was clean and beautiful. The view is spectacular, the layout was very functional and spacious. The host had thought of everything and the beach supply closet was a nice touch. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this spot to everyone looking for a relaxing get away.

Everything you need with an outstanding view, and more

Group, was 4 golfers, and we cooked 3 nights out of the 7. Great equipment to cook with, and I am a chef. Thanks David. This condo Has everything you need , the owners leave, and encourage the renters to contribute to the supplies, condiments, spices ect....works out well. I also have a rental in VBRO down the street from this one, but mine was rented, a single family home . David's condo has all of what my place has.....Rent it ...its a no Brainer Brian

Another Awesome Time at NSB

Very nice condo with lots of space and amenities for families. The balcony was our favorite part next to the 2 bikes that we rode every day! We highly recommend and definitely plan to return!

Restorative & Relaxing

Condo is clean and probably the most comfortable place we've ever stayed for our annual family vacation. Our must-haves are privacy, safety, reliable air/heat/temp control, comfortable beds, basic kitchen, and access to beach. This place exceeds all that, the photos don't quite convey how nice it really is. Ample space, comfortable beds & seating for all ages, really good central air. We ate out a couple of times but mostly stayed on the grounds once we'd rented surf boards & bought groceries; we created some great family meals thanks to the well-equiped kitchen. That toy closet had everything, & swimming pool, basket ball & tennis courts, shuffle board, ping pong, pool table, all are great spaces. When we weren't in the water, we mostly lived on that balcony. There must be great sound barriers between apts, we heared very little noise from neighbors or remodeling in other units. This condo is so thoughtfully stocked, you literally only need bring your own clothes & toothbrush. The 'sunscreen bar' was an extra unexpected touch, comlete with sunglasses & aloe. We felt at home and pampered; the owners communicated very well and anticipated how to help us live most comfortably on the beach in mid-August heat.

Favorite Property on NSB

We have stayed at many NSB properties and Southwind is, by far, our favorite. This particular unit has everything you need from a well stocked kitchen to all the necessities for the beach - even two bicycles. We also love that the owner rents his own unit on VRBO rather than having to deal with a 3rd party vendor. Will stay here again.

Nice condo

It is a very nice condo! It was just like the pictures, no surprises. There was plenty of room. The beach was also very nice, laidback, and not crowded. The pool was great. The toy closet was perfect and had plenty of chairs for our whole group. We would definitely stay there again!

Relaxing Family Vacation

We had a great time in New Smyrna and Southwinds was the perfect location. This condo had everything we could possibly want and the kids, especially, loved the bunk beds. We saw dolphins every morning and often had the pool all to ourselves. I would definitely recommend this condo for a fun, relaxing family vacation.

Home away from Home

The condo was well supplied for a family with various ages. I loved the bedroom with all the bunkbeds, it worked well that no one had to share a bed with a sibling ;-) The kitchen was well stocked with basic condiments and cooking utensils and every small appliance you could need (neatly stored away in the cabinets). Ice maker has a large capacity, so we never ran out of ice to fill our coolers (which were in the beach closet). There were a ton of beach towels/chairs/toys/boogie boards/umbrellas/shovels/buckets/tennis raquets and balls. I really enjoyed the comfortable wicker chairs on the balcony, drinking my morning coffee while watching the sunrise. The views from ALL the windows are stunning! The king size bed and pillows were SO comfortable. My husband and I said we slept better there than at home. An annoying problem we had at the complex, not the condo - The codes to get in and out were not accurate, so we were not able to use the walk in gate. We had the kids jump the wall to input the code for the drive in gate to walk out. Also the condo could use a deep cleaning. Cabinets and appliance were dirty. Furniture was dusty. I wiped everything down before letting the kids touch anything. Communication with the owners was great. Dave was quick to respond to any of my texts. The condo is 10 minutes from downtown, but we liked being away from the 'busyness'. We had plenty of space on the beach so my husband could fish in front of the condo every morning and night. If we return to NSB, we would want to stay here again. No question about it.

We are longtime Floridians and grew up going to New Smyrna beach for vacations, surfing and relaxing.

When looking for a vacation home we wanted a place to share with family and friends that was current/state of the art (wireless, HD TVs, etc.), but was also casual and relaxing. We use the condo primary for our family and close friends and only rent to a select few guest each year. We hope you will feel like family and enjoy our home immensely.

Why they chose this property

We wanted a unique location with lots of windows/light and panaramic, unobstructed views. The south facing end unit on the southern end of New Smyrna Beach has natural lighting in every room: living room, dining room, kitchen, master, 2nd master and kids room. The 3 BR/3 Bath unit is organized so that all three bedrooms are separated creating privacy for the each of the two master bedrooms and separate kids "bunk room".

What makes this property unique

This unit, and the Southwind condominium complex, is truly unique.
The non-drive beach and limited access to the beach in this area creates an open peaceful beach even on busy holiday weekends.
The property has tennis/pickleball courts, shuffle board courts, a basketball court and a large child friendly pool. And, the pool location is beside the complex creating open lawn between the building and the beach that is wonderful for all sorts of activities (soccer, Frisbee, throwing a football).
The unit is fully stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, dozens of beach towels and beach toys. The kitchen is fully stocked; new appliances, an ample supply of cooking utensils and plates/bowls. You will not be washing dishes every day!
