- CHECK-IN PROCESS - Checking in at your FIELDTRIP home is now easier than ever. FIELDTRIP's guidebook contains everything you need to know. From reservation details, property information, check-in instructions, local recommendations and add-on services to enhance your stay, you'll find it all here.

- PARKING - Guests are limited to a maximum of 8 cars, depending on size. Renters and their daytime guests should park in the garage or driveway. There is NO on-street parking available. To avoid ticketing or towing, please ensure all cars are not extending into or blocking the sidewalk.

- EARLY CHECK-IN / LATE CHECK-OUT - Stay a little longer and add up to 2 hours before or after your arrival for $75/hour. Half days (11am arrival or 4pm departure) are also available for 50% of the nightly rate for the night needing to be blocked to accommodate.

- DELIVERIES - We are unable to accept packages at the homes. Please plan accordingly and utilize holding packages at the local post office or nearby Amazon Lockers.

- EVENTS / RETREATS - APPROVAL REQUIRED PRIOR TO BOOKING. Small events within our permitting requirements are considered. Please note that all events require formal, written approval from the County of San Bernardino. Additionally, an event fee starting at $1,000 will apply, with the final cost determined by the specific scope and coverage of the occasion.

- PHOTO/VIDEO & COMMERCIAL USE - APPROVAL REQUIRED PRIOR TO BOOKING. Guests are welcome and encouraged to take photos for personal use (and feel free to tag us @stayfieldtrip). Drones are not permitted due to county restrictions. While we welcome professional media projects, all commercial, professional, promotional, or revenue-generating photography and videography are subject to production fees. Additionally, any filming on the property is permitted only upon receiving formal approval from the County of San Bernardino. For these activities, we require payment in advance along with a signed production agreement, production insurance, and a location release. IF THERE IS ANY DOUBT IF YOUR SHOOT IS COMMERCIAL, PLEASE INQUIRE FIRST. Any guests found to be doing a commercial shoot will have their reservation canceled. Any commercial shoots discovered during or after a stay will be responsible for the production fee.

Conveniently located near downtown Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, and Pioneertown. Nearby attractions include Joshua Tree National Park, Black Rock Hiking Trails, Pioneertown, Pappy & Harriets, Downtown Joshua Tree, and Palm Springs.

15 minutes to downtown Joshua Tree, 20 minutes to the Joshua Tree National Park Entrance. 12 minutes to Pioneertown, 5 minutes to downtown Yucca Valley. 40 minutes to Palm Springs.

The house was in decent shape, the appliances worked great. The viewers were so awesome. especially from the hot tub. The guard rail in front of the picnic tables isn't glass, it's thin wire. Be mindful with children on the patio and stay close. Our family of 7 could not get a full night's rest, a few of us staying awake throughout the night due to the constant steps heard in the hall upstairs and the sounds of cupboards in the kitchen being open and closed. There are no screens on any of the sliding doors, expect flies to get inside. There are big stains on most of the carpet throughout the house. No pool table or card table like in the pictures.

Great property with wonderful views. Follow Google Maps for more accurate directions, we followed Apple maps and got lost for a while ..)- Good housekeeping support and overall very happy.

Secluded Spacious Home

My friends (and fur friends) had a wonderful stay at this awe-inspiring home. It was very spacious, cozy and accommodating for our large group. We enjoyed the 360-views around the home, which nicely overlooks the main highway. I would highly recommend this place!

A magical retreat spot

The directions to get to the house through the neighborhood were a little confusing, but once we drove down the long driveway and saw where we’d be spending the next 3 days, our jaws were to the floor! The views and the expansiveness of the home were breathtaking.

The customer service for this site is extraordinary! Beautiful sunrises. Our entire family enjoyed their stay. We do a Christmas Experience for our family every year and this was it for 2023.

We really enjoyed our time at the Summit house! The views and hot tub were our favorite. The Game room was used by all ages. The drive to Joshua Tree park was short. We had trouble getting the entry code to work but it all worked out.

Thanksgiving at Summit House

The family came in from all over California. We played games, puzzles, and hiked Joshua Tree National Park. The home was nice and warm as the weather was cold and very windy. The beds were comfortable. Only thing missing were Wine Glasses which were delivered the next day. This property showed signs of wear with older carpets and broken floor tiles.

Amazing Views

Beautiful house with amazing views. Plenty of bedrooms and baths. We are a family that plays games together and having the pool table & ping png table was a plus. Our only issue was ants, but spray was available.

Out of the world experience

What a location, what a view and what a stay!!! The memory that we will cherish forever. Such an unique and incredible location, one of a kind. Very neat and clean. Very spacious and we found everything we needed for all of us. Main attraction was the patio and the view from there both during day and night. I would recommend the stay for everybody who is looking for privacy and a stay with extended fanily and friends. We planning to come back soon.

Awesome place needs a little TLC

Great location and awesome view. Very spacious layout and plenty of comfort. The Garage/Game Room were a superlative hit. Super venue for families with young kids. The Electric Stove was tough to figure out and there seemed to be a lot of tile damage throughout. Also, need more towel racks for the bathrooms.

Cozy home and great views

The views from the homes balconies and windows are spectacular. I was in a group of 9 adults and the home felt perfectly spacious for us all to hang out as a group or split off. The beds were very comfortable along with the other furnishings. Lots of kitchen utensils at your disposal. This home allows for easy driving to a little bit of everything you could want to do in this area - Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, Pioneertown, it's close enough to it all! The directions from both Google and Apple maps weren't accurate to get to the home, but there were signs smartly placed in the neighborhood so you will figure it out. The coffee pot takes a long time to make a full pot so be sure to use the timer function for my coffee people out there. The home does show signs of wear and tear in certain areas like the plumbing (irregular hot water) and kitchen (floor and dishwasher). The last part of the driveway entering the home is a bit of a shock if you aren't prepared! It's a narrow stretch of dirt and concrete with sheer slopes on either side. We were in a bigger SUV and drove over it many times so everyone got over it eventually, but it is scary if you're from a place as flat as were I'm from! The only rooms lacking in homey decor were the bathrooms, every other space feels cozy and clean. This place provided everything I could ask for and more from a desert mountain view home, I would happily return again!

Stunning view

The view of the valley is really stunning and the house is big. However, it’s a dated property and for the price paid I was expecting some luxury elements that were missing (or maybe shampoo and body wash in the second bathroom at least)

Incredible house!

Had the most amazing stay and cannot wait to visit again! The views can't be beat, and the hosts and communication were A+. The house is equipped with more amenities than we even had time to enjoy and the view truly is breathtaking. Will definitely be returning!!

Was very happy with how close this was to Joshua Tree and how amazing the view is! Took a star off since the house had a few damage everywhere (cracked tiles, broken screens for windows, stains on carpets, missing knobs on the oven) host was responsive for questions though!

Stay at Summit House

The property is perfect for a family reunion or friends’ vacation. The daytime views are spectacular and night skies amazing for star viewing. It is convenient to Joshua Tree National Park and Palm Springs. The house has a well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill with multiple places to spread out for meals and socializing. The bedrooms are nicely spaced out and very private. We didn’t want to leave. It is well maintained and managed. We would love to return some day.
